Now at Mark's apt, Mark will take off his coat stretch, and pull out a board of wood and some pieces of paper.
"I have confirmed that our dear friend Vilroy is being paid off by one of the many criminal organizations. I think we should all share what exactly we learned while not together so we can get a better picture of what is happening in Sharn."
Mark sticks a piece of paper with Vilory's name on it and a note saying that she is "dirty".
Elero looks at the note, and then at Mark. "Wow. Sounds like old Garra was right about her. Amazing. As for me, here's what I know about Yosgrim's trouble:
He was working in his shop one day when a robed man came in asking for a contract to have first dibs on any tools he thought were 'dangerous'. Then, different shady characters came in every few months to collect whatever tools Yosgrim sold them. The last few times the buyers were very hostile, so Yosgrim decided to tell them that he didn't have any. This last buyer, Thorn, was very hostile and threatening as you saw. He's threatened to tell his boss that Yosgrim is pulling out of the deal. So Yosgrim got scared, and asked me for my help."
He shrugs. "Unfortunately, he doesn't know who they are or who they work for, but hopefully we can follow the next one and find out."
"As I said before, I delivered a letter to the Boromar clan from the changeling community, but did not read what was in it. The changeling that gave it to me really didn't want the Boromar clan to know it came from her." Erix chimes in "I also went to see my family, but they didn't have any dealings with the underworld, but would inform me if they hear anything. Oh, and the head of my house will come to Sharn soon, I will be invited for a welcoming banquet than."

Captain Brittle seems like one of the few truly ethical Sharn Watch officials. While he may end up being corrupt, whatever faith you have in the Watch you feel you can put in him.
When you mark everything out on the board it starts to make a modicum of sense.
The power structure of Sharn is shaped like two circles. On the outer circle you have the more official command structures: The Sharn Watch, the main police and judiciary; The Sharn Council, the technical political decision makers of Sharn; and the Dragonmarked Houses, the economical powerhouses that control Khorvaire.
However, in the middle of the circle, connected to all of these other institutions, are the criminal organisations: The Boromar Clan, Halflings who have a lot of influence in the Watch and the Council; and Daask, who have similar ties to a couple of Dragonmarked houses.
Then there are a couple of question marks who you don’t know yet how they fit in: The Tyrants, a secretive organisation, possibly criminal, made up of mostly Changelings; and whatever organisation Thorn works for, the name of which you don’t even know.
Thorn is actually a Shifter. I get confused between these two as well. Shifters are a humanoid lycanthrope, like Kit. Changelings are humanoid shapeshifters, you ran into one called Jas in your last adventure disguised as Vilroy.
Mark looks at the board and scratches his little goatee.
"I am very interested in figuring out what the Changelings want and I am also interested in what group is collecting dangerous artifacts from our Gnome friend." Mark will then turn around and look at the others. "What is your goal/dream here in Sharn? For me, I grew up with nothing and wanted to enjoy the finer things in life while dismantling the organization that made a street kid like me's life a living hell. Basically, all I care about is gold, I want it and don't want bad people to have it. So, what drives you? "
[Aha. I wondered if those were interchangeable terms. Thanks for clarifying. We'll retcon that Elero didn't say that, or that someone in the party corrected him. :) ]
You all discuss your options into the night, but with both jobs not having a clear start, there’s no pressure to start either anytime soon. You take spend the night in Mark’s ample apartment. You can mark off a Long Rest if you need it.
In the morning, the post master arrives with a couple of letters. One addressed to Mark, and the other, surprisingly, is addressed to Erix.

Do you mean Captain Brittle Erix? You can roll an Insight check if you want to. To try and get a gauge on Brittle’s demeaner.

Mark will write each name that is given and put them on the board.
DM does any of this seam connected? when all put on the board?
“Oh and I know Cavallah is likely the head honcho of Daask. But I don’t know anything about this Cavallah.”
Mark please roll an investigation check for me.

What do your characters do with this information?
"Thorn is a Changeling," Elero offers. "Perhaps he's part of the Tyrants, or maybe that's just coincidence."
Thorn is actually a Shifter. I get confused between these two as well. Shifters are a humanoid lycanthrope, like Kit. Changelings are humanoid shapeshifters, you ran into one called Jas in your last adventure disguised as Vilroy.
