Eberron: Rising from the Last War

Mark will hand Erix his mail and then take his own to his desk in the training space and will inspect it before opening it. He wants to look to see if this was poisoned or tampered with in any way.

Erix talks about the animals, as he did before, and how his goal is to try and find a unique animal to aid him.

He takes the letter from Mark, wondering why a letter was send here to him, and how it was known he was gonna be here. He opens it.

Kit is drinking mayonnaise for breakfast and has a gooey moustache. 

“Letters, well aren’t you two important.” 

Kit shares his mayo with the cat and worg. 

Mark will hears the commotion that Kit is making, "Please use a napkin and clean up after yourself this time. We do not need three pets." 

Elero watches all of this happen with a mix of intrigue and disgust, but remains silent.

Mark - You're letter isn't trapped. It contains a note from Reidnul, one of your contacts at the bank. "Mark, I'd love to have a discussion with you tomorrow about some of the things we've talked about in the past. I may have a job for you depending on your availability."

Erix - You note contains a very formal invitation from House Vadalis. It reads:

After reading is letter, Mark will say, “We are in high demand, a colleague of mine is requesting my services. I will meet with him tomorrow if you two would like to join me. We have a killer barista bar and it could help us achieve some of these goals. That said, are we helping the Watch on this shadowy request.”

"Maybe we go to a fancy party first?" Elero pipes up, almost too quickly, then catches himself. "Sorry." He blushes. "It just sounds so...cool.  And different."

You could certainly go to the bank tomorrow, Wednesday (Wir), and still head to the party on Friday (Far). Those are the Eberron names for those days.

Does Erix think he can ask his new friends to join? Or would that be frowned upon in his family?

From what you know about Dragonmarked houses, you know that anyone with a Dragonmark can do whatever they want, within reason. Taking a few extra guests to a ball wouldn't be a big deal.

Erix reads the letter and tells the others about the party. He would be happy for them to join them, IF they can behave. The last comment mostly directed at Kit.

Mark will look at Kit too, "I have no issue behaving and I would love the opportunity to rub elbows with the rich and famous. It is a bucket list of mine. The question is, do you want to go to this event Erix?" 

"I already promised one of the leaders to the house I would be there, so yes I want to go."

Kit rubs off some mayonnaise the fell onto his chest fur. "Best behaviour, I promise. I'm here to experience new things, rub elbows with the rich and famous, make love to an aristocrat under the Sharn sky. Plus, I have a feeling it's another party that I'll be misbehaving." Kit half jokes. 

You all head off to sleep for the night, you can mark off a Long Rest if you want to.

The morning sun comes up over the towers of Sharn. Is everyone going to Mark's work at the bank today? And if not, what are your plans?

If Mark wants our help Erix joins.

Mark will want to stick together if we can but understands if people want to do their own thing.

Mark is ready to go. 

"I'll come," Kit lifts up a cushion from the still stain blotched couch and retrieves 25 gold piece. "Maybe it's time I start preparing for retirement, wise investments and saving and all that..."

Elero will go along.  He'll be interested in their new quest, and in what kinds of machinery the bank has to discourage theft and conduct its business.
