Flax rolls a 22 for the strength saving throw. Additionally, anyone making the save within 10ft of him adds +4 to their result from his aura of protection.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Kordia will continue her evasive spin until she has gained some small distance (20 feet or so) between herself and the Glob. ? Gloop? Plasmoid...
Coming to a spinning halt, she will set herself and send forth her psychic daggers to hopefully finish them off.
{game log}
Attack:26 Dmg: 8 psychic
Bonus Action Attack: 26 Dmg: 8 psychic
Using the last of her movement, she will edge toward the smoking door while keeping her distance from any foes - still standing or on the ground. "Any one in dire distress?"
Combining their skills and magic, Beshlog and Kordia rush forward simultaneously,
Beshlog striking first with two heavy blows of his axe which slough through the Jelly, crackling with thunderous energy. These slashing strikes cause the Jelly to split in two, becoming smaller, and the two new globs raise their axes (the original axe also split into the two pieces, becoming two one-bladed axes. Don't ask why, it's for dramatic effect) ready to strike,
but Kordia rushes in, and stabs each glob with a blade of glowing energy, slaying the creatures, which both lose cohesion and melt to the floor. The remnants of the ooze try to rise, but a dark, doleful spell fills the air as Ember makes sure the ooze will never rise again.
You have done it! You killed the four murderous monsters! Combat is now over!
As you look around, recovering from the battle, you notice the smoke coming from the lab door to the north has thickened and is pouring out faster. The jagged stone ceiling above is now covered in a layer of smog.
Back from the passage you came from, to the south, the shuffling of feet and the echo of groans can be heard from down the corridor.
To the east and west are two similar looking passages, each twisting off into the darkness.
What do you do?
Keep in mind, the weapons of the monsters are still on the floor. The bow looks to be a longbow, the blade a greatsword, the axe now two handaxes, and the staff a quarterstaff. Who knows, they might have some magical properties, or they may simply be channels from which the monsters used their powers.
The door is cool to the touch, though the smoke is annoying. If you open the door, that should ventilate the room beyond. Probably. Nothing happens when Ember touches the doorknob. It seems safe to open by all accounts.
Artan notices nothing, except the continued sounds of groaning and shuffling, everpresent, growing slowly louder as whatever horrible creatures the sounds belong to draw ever nearer.

Kordia thinks a minute. "If I had my pack and gear, I could spread some lamp oil on the ground and light it... and hide the fire in a spell ofDarkness either in one of the passages or in front of this door. I mean, burning oil SHOULD cover any tracks, right?"
She paces three steps left and back 3 steps right - stops and strains to listen to judge how little time they have left. [game log] Perception: 18+4 = 22
"My only concern is, we pick ANY of these - we do NOT know if they are dead ends with no alternate means of progress or escape. We do not want to make it THAT easy for this place to kill us all. Fish or cut bait, my friends. Choose like your life depends on it -- because it does!"
"I have magic that can cut off our tracks. But unless we lead fake tracks one direction, they might split down all paths anyway. Who knows, they might do that regardless of tracks. The smoke might be there to deter us from going that way, possibly because the master is afraid we will see through their lies. Sorry Salastor I know you trust him, but I have seen too much here that doesn't fit with a trustworthy person. The only options I see is either he is evil, or oblivious."
Salastor, who from the looks of it had been trying to sneak down the eastern tunnel while the party chatted, looks up, and backs away from the tunnel “Oh? What? Of course the Master is trustworthy. He does what’s best for all of us! And I help him do it! You didn’t have to murder those guards, y’know. We could’ve talked to them and went on our merry way!” The mysterious man sounds…angry…and scared “The Master’s lab is just through that door. If he’s not there, then he’ll be in the Gaze chamber. Let’s go!” Salastor moves to the door, unperturbed by the smoke, and throws the door wide open. Smoke pours into the room, clearing out the room beyond.
What do you do?

"Um, yeah... weren't those 'innocent' guards planning to eat their prisoners?" Beshlog says.
The giant's powers of insight might not be great, but he is really starting to suspect that Salastor is up to something. He doesn't really want to assume the worst, but it does not feel at all normal to give sympathy to a bunch of cannibalistic murderers.
He glances at the others, trying to gauge how everyone else is feeling.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

I'm probably laughing.

Dex save 17 (without a potential +4 which doesn't matter therefore how close I am to Flax)
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Waiting for Beshlogs check.
Everyone who has rolled so far has saved. I forgot we had a Paladin.

^This check?
And I guess +4 if he was within 10-ft of Flax, which he probably would be since they were both in melee. So the total would b e 15

Beshlog twirls his axe as he continues to sing, striking twice at the gooey creature. His first attack crackles with thunder!
Battleaxe vs. slime
Attack: 21; Damage: 7 (magical slashing) + 6 (thunder) = 13
Attack: 22; Damage: 7 (magical slashing)

Ember will pick up the staff.
"We can rearrange more later but need them handy first."
She goes to the door & holds her hand nearby to gage the warmth. If cool enough, she touches it.
"Gather up what you may and let us leave before the approaching 'cleaning crew' shows up!" Kordia whispers to her companions.
Turning to Ember she quirks an eyebrow, "So now you are a lockpick too?" Kordia smirks and winks.
"Har, Har. Studies showed that some doors werent hot to the toych though fire burned behind them. These doors nowever, are as hot as they seem.
So, any choice of paths?"
Artan will watch the passage behind them, with his superior observation skills while the others make a plan with the fire(?) door.

Ember casts Cure Wounds on herself. And spends a sorcery pt to increase the spell to 11.
Then tries the door, with a foot about a foot back, as a brake.
Flax keeps the sword, "What now?"
