As Quartz is hit for a second time, his already tenuous control over the area's vegetation ceases entirely. The conjured plants wither and brown in an instant, as if the chill of Fall overtaking the landscape in hyperlaps photography.
With a sense of urgency, the giant, feeling outnumbered, and entrusting if his greatest and ever-present ally, nature, Quartz bwgi s to transform into a giant poisonous snake.
Before his mout changes into the fanged maw of a pit viper, he asks tbe plants, though he knows they cannot respond "why have you forsaken me?"

Nope, can't turn into anything with swim speed yet.
A call goes up from the woods: a horn, loud and baleful.
The farthest raider (B) answers with a horn of its own. It calls to the rest in its garbled tongue, a call that brings relief to the wounded party:"Retreat."
The attackers, one by one, disengage, running back into the fog between the trees. Only a few invested combatants remain.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Korbińa's eyes show a glint of murder as she lets go of her staff, draws a second dagger crouches down and launches two attacks at the Kobold in front of her (A).
Several things happen at once. As the horn continues to blow and the raiders fall back, Korbiña strikes with a great deal of vehemence. Her first strike glances off her target's sling, missing entirely. The second scrapes it's face. It cries out in great pain and rage. Even with her partial understanding, she can tell he's throwing every curse in the book her way.
Turning to watch their retreating numbers, she notices two things within the swirling mist:
1. There are many, many more shapes than just the kobolds they were fighting.
And 2. A fair number of them were fleeing straight through the bush that Thaux was supposed to be behind!
She wants to investigate, but the fight's not over and everyone's taken a hit or two!
Lelantus hearing that his friend may be in trouble tries again to stab the closest kobold in its awful little head and if he succeeds runs in the direction he last saw thaux in all the while screaming " nobody ****s with my friends!!!!"
Quick to check on his new friend, Lelantus takes another passing swipe at the nearest raider (K). He misses by a wide margin, instead taking a knife to his arm, thrown by another (L, Reaction) as he scrambles by. [4 damage]
[No Perception roll; I'll use your passive score for this. I'll write what you see on your next turn.]
The creature is flung flat by Asher's spell, though its physicality is enough to avoid the extent of the orb's true power. It writhes momentarily before rolling again to its feet, eyeing the Dragonborn furiously, or perhaps desperately.
In that moment, the creature says something, but Asher cannot quite determine it's meaning.
In pain, furious, and desperate, the wounded raider (A) takes a loose swing at Korbiña's midriff, nailing a lateral stab across her belly! He hasn't stopped cursing her with what she imagines is every foul word it knows.
[4 damage]
[Don't forget, everyone, to add the health Asher's provided you]
Turning to Asher, the kobold he struck rushes forward, striking him back in the leg with a piteous chop.
[1 damage]
Another one (L) having thrown it's dagger at Lelantus, decides to gang up on Korbiña, delivering a swift, albeit equally pathetic kick to her leg.
[1 damage]
Only one raider (D) remains between the halfling and his imperiled friend. As he rushes forward that raider makes its move, taking a cheap shot at his back!
Quartz, currently a giant badger, emerges from the soft earth, lookog about to get hus bearings. He sees his cremated still locked in battle and charges back into the fray. He attacks a besrby kobold with tooth and claw. (Any kobold will do).
[When your turns come up, one of you is welcome to roll a Perception check (13 or higher).]

Sorry, didn't see it has one. Most irl do not.
In that case a giant badger; then I burrow underground and away from all the kobolds.

"Many more in THAT direction! Someone try to look for our lizard!"
She points where she saw the shapes and to the bush between movements and prepares to defend as quickly as possible
