Quartz joins the attack and once moore summons forth the bestial savagery within, transforming his gentle hands to massive claws (primal savagery, A), even as he slips between the trees, using the natural cover of the forerst too obscure himself from view (invisible, hidden step, BA) closing in on the monster, revealing himself only as he pounces, claws bared, ready to tear into its deformed flesh.
21, 22 (AD from invisible, separated in case of blindsense, etc - take the former)
Korbiña, seeing the fight, approaches to 30 feet distance to the monstrosity, noticing that the three seem to have everything under control, but just in case, the crystal of her staff, as well as her eyes light up in bright pink as she points at the creature

[22 works, but I thought it was acid damage. Ah, well]
As the giant sinks his literal teeth into the foul creature, it turns its head, a show of visible disgust on its twisted face. In deep gutteral voice and with an old line of Common tongue, it speaks:"Thou beareth thine nerve unto my hunt?! Thine gall knowest no mere reach!"
Its laughter seems to echo, a gurgling unsettling "coughing" that emanates from its mouth like an involuntary spasm.
Twisting and snapping of flesh and bone is heard. The creature convulsed and twists, its disturbed form twisting back. The fur falls away and it's size reverts. Everything reverts. Extra flesh disappears with a warm sizzle, while flaps of skin seem to change color as it loosely hangs to bone. The skin soon becomes what appear to be animal furs, sewn into makeshift robes. The eyes pop back into place, changing from a wicked yellow to a bloodshot orange, shrinking as it goes.
In mere moments, the creature has returned to its true shape: a gnome -- wicked-looking gnome with pale grey skin and a frayed tuft of white for its beard. Before the party, it scowls in absolute disgust.
"Alight, looks like you have decided to talk despite your disgust. What you are disgusted at, we don't know. What we do know is that you were a part of the hyena attack at thd top of the cliff just now...
"So what do you want and why did you attack us."
Korbiña stands tall, the staff with the pink crystal gradually ebbing down...
The gnome smiles, revealing wretched yellow teeth. Rather than opt for a prolonged conversation, the grotesque little man utters a quick incantation in a language Quartz swears he knows. From the tip of his finger, the wretched little man is enwreathed in a burst of magical fog, obscuring everything around (2nd level Fog Cloud), including the exact whereabouts of other party members.
From the veil, you hear it speak, cackling once more:
"Steel thine resolve, o forsaken curs! I bid thee welcome unto my decrepit wood. Bear thy falsities that I may cast you to uncertainty, for my lady harboreth no fools!"
His voice reverberates in the mist, leaving the party unaware of his location.
<You're right, it is acid, I was looking at the symbol on the DDB sheet, which looked like poison to me, since its literally a skull and bones.>
As the claws reced feom hus hands, Quartz eases and his heart rate slows.
"I see I've made an error. But a delay in the face of a deadly threat means certain death. I apologize for the attack, but can yiu explain why you're out here in the wild, looming like a monstrous horror over this helpless helfling?"
Thaux reaches behind his back, pulling an arrow out of his quiver and swiftly lets the arrow rest between the eye sockets of the bull skull. He begins to scan his surroundings and growls as he wanders through the thick veil of mist.

Korbiña goes into a defensive stance and utters a few ancient words, in the thick mist making the crystal on her staff shed a purple light that engulfs herself for just a moment like an aura...
[Take a break, come back later. We're not going anywhere.]
@Bob
[Passive Perception]
Lelantus spots his choice dart, stuck in the muck at the monster's feet.
[Roll Strength to free it.]

If possible id like to roll under the beast after grabbing my dart and stab it in the stomach
(On my next turn Thaux is going to nock another arrow and shoot the monster with his bull-skull-bow-gauntlet)

[Casting True Strike]
Leaping from his hiding spot, the quick little halfling tugs free his prize dart.
[Darts are a projectile weapon, so to turn it into an improvised weapon, roll to hit, then roll 1d4. No modifiers.]

asher waits for the gnomes next move ready to cast a spell if needed
Id like to try to throw the dart at its eye and yell " are you ready to have a conversation yet ?!?!?!"
Korbiña talks loud enough to bridge thd distance

Gregory has been quiet this fight not wanting to mess up again. Now he looks up and says "what the hell? It was a thing and now it's a gnome!?"
