Night draped the land in an inky cloak, the perfect canvas for Daewen's silent approach. She moved from the west, a wraith in the gloom, her ebony form swallowing the moonlight. As the party held their positions, north, south, and east, she ghosted closer to the unsuspecting Banshee. With a burst of surprising speed, Daewen materialized from the shadows, a dancer of death. Her rapier, imbued with an otherworldly hum, lanced out, a sliver of moonlight against the darkness, finding purchase in the Banshee's spectral form with a sickening thud. Before the creature could react, Daewen melted back into the inky void, leaving behind only the faint hum of her weapon and the shriek of a wounded banshee.
Bonus Action: Daewen cast's Hunter's Mark on the banshee, marking it for <hopeful> assassination.
While fingering her Clockwork Amulet, she'll make a Dread Ambusher Attack (also with her Rapier of Life Stealing): 19 Damage: 12 + 1 bonus Dread Ambusher damage + 6 Hunter's Mark damage
OOC: The forum was acting fishy, so I just knew it would change my rolls. I took a screenshot before I refreshed the page, and sure enough, it changed 'em! Here are my original rolls!
Looks like 18 damage on the first attack, and then 22 damage on the second, for a grand total of 40 damage!

“Well, the Druid knows the town. And he has his ‘pets’ there as well, plants and zombies and such. And we don’t want to stumble into them and be forced to deplete his menagerie. Perhaps he could cast Pass Without Trace and then lead us, or at least the stealthiest of us by safest path, to Mirna’s old family alchemy shop after wildshaping as some small woodland creature. Like a rabbit or something.”
Wilhorn tries not to appear frightened, it goes against his halfling nature. But the thought of facing off with a dragon is … concerning.

I'm game for this. He's a 3rd level druid and he knows pass without trace. That's exactly how he lures the slow moving creatures into buildings and gardens where they get stuck.
There was a long standing infestation of Giant Spiders in the ruined tower, who were killed and "kicked out" of the tower by it's new tennant. The spider's bodies are still freshly killed outside of the tower, maybe 30 days dead.
If we’re invited back into Reidoth’s cottage, Wilhorn will dig into the saddlebags and fish out the potions of poison protection he’s been carrying.(I show he had 4, I don’t remember who took 2 already - Vex and Dorah?). He offers the remaining vials around.
”If it is ok with you, I’d like to leave Drool here.Four more paws crushing the underbrush is not prudent. Now, should all the rest of us traverse the town, just in case the dragon stirs, or just the most silent of us?”
Awesome. I'll post the map soon, then we can start opening doors. The druid happily points out the alchemy shop and says that he'll hang back to take care of the dog.

“ Jyin, wait!” Wilhorn cries out. Too late. He sees Jyin freeze up in fear, halting his advance. But the fear didn’t stop him from casting his spell.
(Wilhorn’s save to keep from being frightened: 11)
Fear grips Wilhorn, keeping him from moving any closer as well.
He does have the mind to cast Bless on Daewen, Jyin, and Vex.
(+1d4 on all attacks and saving throws for 10 rounds or loss of concentration. Let’s hope it helps with those Wis saves.)

This roll should have been 5d6 and not 6d6, I will have to delete 6 damage
The Banshee cries out, after taking 22 damage. Banshee (36/58)
Jyin gets to repeat the save against frightened at the end of his turn, but with disadvantage. Wisdom Save DC 13 vs 21
Vex quietly creeps around the banshee and is ready to attack when he sees the guiding bolt slam into the banshee he figures that is the signal.
He hopes Dorah remains where he left her to keep her safe and brings up his hand-cross to fire on the banshee while he casts a spell and then fires.
Hand-Crossbow Zephyr Strike: To hit (7,16)+10: 26 Piercing Damage: 11 Zephyr Strike: 4 Total: 15
OOC: I’ll make a longer/better post after work, but for now, here’s Daewen’s frightening save:
Wisdom save vs DC 13: 7
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
Staying out of range of her Horrific Visage, Vex is able to penetrate the Ghost's damage resistance by using a Magic hand-crossbow +1
Agatha the Banshee takes 15 damage. Banshee (21/58)
If you keep your distance, then the banshee wail will only hit Jyin, who is the closest. If you engage, the wail will catch you too.
The Banshee moves 40 feet and is now 20 feet from Jyin and more than 30 feet from everyone else (unless Daewen is in range)
She lets loose an ear splitting sound of anguish and pain, as all the blood rushes from Jyin's head and he makes a Constitution Save DC 13 vs 21
Round 1
Daewen << still has a turn to take
Round 2
Vex, Wilhorn, Jyin << Go ahead and take your turn
Agatha the Banshee (21/58)

Hint: Doing 5 may trigger 6 depending on tactics and approach. We can just combine the two to be fair.
