PORTIA 20 GLYNT 17RAGDOR 14 XANTH 9MEEPO 9SKELETONS ONE (-) TWO (D) THREE (-2) FOUR (-11) FIVE (D)
The fourth SKELETONslices into PORTIA. The Rogue injured is unable to respond with successful strikes of her own. The Elvish Longswords are still sharp after so long in the grave.
GLYNT tries to further Mock the third SKELETON but seems to resist the taunting this time.
RAGDOR holds up his Holy Symbol and calls on divine power to turn the undead abominations. Four of the Five seem to be affected by RAGDOR’sefforts.
XANTH works on the unaffected second SKELETON. He turns it into a pile of bones.
MEEPO turns the fifth one into a pile of bones as well.
The remaining three SKELETONS flee.
The first one tries to climb over the altar to get away from the Cleric. RAGDORgets an Attack of Opportunity on it.
The third one begins to flee. XANTHgets an Attack of Opportunity on it.
And finally, the fourth turns to leave. PORTIAgets an Attack of Opportunity on it.
(On the map I copied the tokens to show the original location being partially invisible. And the current location where the token is normal.)
(I will wait on the AoO before finishing off the Round.)
If not, its a miss (another roll of 2). If it is advantage, its a 22to hit, for a total of 10damage including sneak attack (which applies due to advantage)
while still brandishing my holy symbol call upon the Lady one more time and channel divinity - preserve life for 5 pts to lady Portia and 5 points to Meepo. Lady of love and life restore my friends
(@Ragdor - You currently have a free attack against the first Skeleton. The Attack of Opportunity (AoO) does not give you other actions like healing, only a reaction to attack, and in this case, the fleeing Skeleton 1. Your attack has Advantage from Meepo's Draconic Cry. In addition, you use a Warhammer. Skeletons are vulnerable to "bludgeoning" weapons. In other words, "Double Damage".)
Here is the rule:
Opportunity Attacks
In a fight, everyone is constantly watching for a chance to strike an enemy who is fleeing or passing by. Such a strike is called an opportunity attack.
You can make an opportunity attack when a hostile creature that you can see moves out of your reach. To make the opportunity attack, you use your reaction to make one melee attack against the provoking creature. The attack occurs right before the creature leaves your reach.
You can avoid provoking an opportunity attack by taking the Disengage action. You also don’t provoke an opportunity attack when you teleport or when someone or something moves you without using your movement, action, or reaction. For example, you don’t provoke an opportunity attack if an explosion hurls you out of a foe’s reach or if gravity causes you to fall past an enemy.
(Since Ragdor turned the Skeleton, its action is not a controlled Disengage, but is fleeing. In this case, from Ragdor as quickly as it can.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
PORTIA then strikes the last SKELETON with such force that the piles of bones end up in the opposite corner.
MEEPO moves toward the altar and stands the magic candle up, "Nowz weez can touch." He looks around the altar and room along with other party members.
Perception 24
RAGDORlooks again at the whistle. It is intricately carved in the shape of a dragon curled up like a snake. The Dwarvish letters in the inscription "Night Caller" are different than what the Cleric sees normally but he will know that it is the way the Duergar write the Dwarvish alphabet. This intricate whistle is of Duergar design.
Aye, I'd like candle if no one else does and I'm pretty sure the whistle is somehow, although dark dwarf magic isn't good magic. When we rest I'll ask the Lady if she might have a looksie at it for us.
MEEPO will suggest that we take a Short Rest to heal up a little without using spells. He will also wonder what is in the flask. It too is made of crystal.
(During a Short Rest you can try to get more information on the items found.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Glynt will say "A short rest sounds like a great idea, I can check out anything you need me to to see if I can work out what it does, Meepo - would you be able to guide my efforts?"
Glynt will reply "I hope to someday be able to identify items through magic, but the material components were more than I could afford so I haven't learned how to do that yet, When we do a short rest I will see what I can tell about all those items"
DM - Did the Door shut behind us or is this an open space?
( OOC I now have Song of Rest +1d6 HP // PHB. pg. 54 If you or any friendly creatures who can hear your performance regain hit points at the end of the short rest by spending one or more Hit Dice, each of those creatures regains an extra 1d6 hit points. )
MEEPO will hand the magic candle to RAGDOR, "Tiz notz even hotz."
(Meepo will have no issues with Ragdor keeping the magic candle.)
GLYNT gives the whistle a greater look. He is able to get some idea that this whistle, carved from transparent crystal, and resembling a tiny dragon curled up like a snail, has the ability to animate the dead. He noticed that the piles of bones began to shake when he just barely blew the whistle. A harder blast from the whistle may truly animate dead .
MEEPO will suggest just a little breather is enough rest for now if the party agrees. (As the Song of Rest would use one of your Bardic Inspiration slots for the day, you may want to hold it for later. There is still this matter of a Small White Dragon to deal with. There is still the contents of the flask as well.)
(@Ragdor, it is likely I am missing something, but how are you able to Detect Magic? I am still learning the 5e rules too.)
(Let's see what this does.)
SKELETON 1 WIS SAVE 1
SKELETON 2 WIS SAVE 15
SKELETON 3 WIS SAVE 4

Are the AoO at advantage due to Meepo's cry?
If not, its a miss (another roll of 2). If it is advantage, its a 22 to hit, for a total of 10 damage including sneak attack (which applies due to advantage)
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Swiftgale, I think you are correct. The AoO will be with Advantage. The Skeletons flee after Meppo's cry.

Aoa = 20 Damage = (12+2) = 14

Awesome. Swing hammer 18+4=22 to hit and 6+2=8 damage
ROUND TWO (Continued)
PORTIA 20 GLYNT 17 RAGDOR 14 XANTH 9 MEEPO 9 SKELETONS ONE (-8) TWO (D) THREE (D) FOUR (D) FIVE (D)
When the fourth SKELETON turns to flee, PORTIA turns this one into a pile of bones.
RAGDOR swings his hammer and scatters pieces of bones off the first SKELETON. It stops there on top on the altar knocking over the magical candle.
XANTH turns the third SKELETON into a pile of bones.
(Go ahead with Round Three actions. Whoever moves up and finishes off this last Skeleton will end the encounter.)
That will be Portia. She crits her first swing for 20 damage (not even rolling a second attack)
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)

(Correction, the whistle is in the shape of a tiny dragon curled up like a snail.)
The party does not find anything else in the room.
Before we move on and incase those things return, how are everyone's wounds? The Lady my still have some healing left in me if we need it.
" Just a scratch. Thank you. "
(Is the whistle magic and if it is can, we identify it?)
"Can anyone use a candle that doesn't go out?"
Aye, I'd like candle if no one else does and I'm pretty sure the whistle is somehow, although dark dwarf magic isn't good magic. When we rest I'll ask the Lady if she might have a looksie at it for us.

Arcana Check on the Whistle: 15
Arcana check rolled a 2. I learned a ritual while on the Sword Coast that'll allow me to detect magic. I could preform that if you all would like?

GLYNT will notice that the door remained open.
MEEPO will hand the magic candle to RAGDOR, "Tiz notz even hotz."
