(The third Hobgoblin scores a Critical Hit on Xanth. DMG 10)
The HOBGOBLIN CONSORT begins to shine with a warm greenish glow. (Anyone attacking the Consort can attack with ADVANTAGE.)
ERKY seeing XANTH take a couple of arrows, moves, and steps on Bone's bones. He then touches XANTH with healing energies. (Xanth is healed for 8 points before his actions.)
(Xanth is at the end of Round Two and Ragdor and Portia are up again for Round Three. Does Xanth do anything different in light of events?)
(@Ragdor - If I am reading this correctly, it looks like Word of Radiance only has a five-foot range. I think we may have been misplaying this spell. Please let me know if I am missing something. And by all means, pick another spell if this is the case.)
RAGDORsteps up to the door followed by a flash of light that zooms toward the HOBGOBLIN CHIEF from the Cleric. It strikes true. The Chief falls to the ground. Dead!
PORTIA will see that the shaft has a 2-foot wall around it, much like the upper end of a well. Thick, pale vines line the shaft. The vines appear sturdy enough to climb upon and kind of like a knotted rope. The shaft goes down about sixty feet through darkness. It then opens up for another twenty feet to a larger area. A pale violet light comes from this larger area. The vines go all the way to the ground. (A total of eighty feet.)

(Map updated.)
after a quick calculation, and correct me if I'm wrong, Portia is in a bad way and needs a heal? If so then:
cast word of radiance on hobo's 1,3, consort and the hobo leader
for 1 pts of damage
as a bonus action, reach out and touch Portia casting
healing word
for 6 pts of health restored
((OOC ok that's it, I'm going back to rolling dice on the app, lol))
Xanth only takes half damage when raging from nonmagical weapons. So, he took 7 or 8 point the way healed for the same. He will step in and attack #1.
I will reroll roll the attacks that were made with adv.
Attack=22 Damage=7+2=9
Offhand Attack=21 Damage=4+2=6
Or just use the first rolls whatever is fair.
(I think I should what till the Hobs go from now on.)
XANTH takes a step into the room and kills the first HOBGOBLIN.
ROUND THREE
RAGDOR 19 GOBLIN (D) PORTIA 17 HGOB CHIEF 16 OTHERS 13 CONSORT 7 GLYNT 4 ERKY 4 XANTH 3

ROUND THREE (Continued)
RAGDOR steps up to the door followed by a flash of light that zooms toward the HOBGOBLIN CHIEF from the Cleric. It strikes true. The Chief falls to the ground. Dead!
Glynt will fire an arrow at the Consort
Attack: 21

(Portia's actions could affect what the last two Hobgoblins do.)
(mobile so not updated map, of formatting text)
Portia will BA dash around the north of the hole, to the glowing hobgoblin. She will stab with advantage (19 to hit, 7 damage)
"Should we try keep one alive for questioning?"

ERKY moves into the circular room behind XANTH. He releases a guiding bolt that guides away from the third HOBGOBLIN. It misses.
(Xanth is up to end the Round.)
Xanth pull the arrow from his body and rushes to the last Hobgoblin standing and tries to strike him down.
Attack= 17+5 inspiration Damage= 11+2=13
Offhand Attack= 14 Damage= 4+2=6
Indeed, XANTH strikes down the third HOBGOBLIN.
Only the party is left standing in the round room.
VICTORY!
What do you do next?
Portia wants to look over the small wall to see what is below the hole

Praise the Lady! Anyone badly injured?

Xanth "Someone please search them I will watch the door."
I can start with the bodies if lady Portia would to have a look at the chest.
"Are we keeping the lady alive?"
Glynt will say “should we help the consort and get some questions answered, only problem I see is who’s responsibility does she become if we do?”
