Ku sleeps on the ground in makeshift mud pockets. He's excentric for a Half-orc, curious and teeming with shadow power. Waking up early to see the dawn, he draws power from the shadows and the shade of the forest.
We have a main thread that's just the members of the tribe interacting with each other. It's pure roleplaying.
Then we make other threads to track specific adventures (with no more than 5 players at a time). That way, you can all be part of the tribe together, and part of an over-arching story, but we don't get overwhelmed.

Oh, also I just wanted to know how often we’ll be expected to contribute/post a day and if any of us are in different time zones (I’m in BMT so I expect there might be a few different time zones)
There is at least one day per week where I, myself, will be unable to post (Saturday). I have real life cleric duties that day. So, I'd say an average of two posts per day from everyone. How does that sound?
That definitely sounds manageable, I can definitely make a good few posts every day even if it's just interaction in the roleplay thread so sounds great

Never done that before. (Sounds kind of like West Marches lite.) Could give it a try. Question would be how levelling would be done though.

Twice per day can be busy over a long term, would probably prefer a once per day. (Allows for doing a post in the evening when busy, as opposed to needing to get a second in there.) And no problems on busyness Saturdays. RL comes first.
Personally, I like the idea of having a herd. Still allows hunting-gathering while having the protection of herds as a possible source of issues.
For building possible connections, Tambor Arinahm (Half-Orc Paladin) has the sense of wanderlust and duty to the tribe in addition to a love of nature. Does that sound like something any of you guys' characters would relate to? Perhaps common time spent on watch or fighting would-be bandits?
As a ranger, that definitely sounds like something my character would relate to.
Awesome. Tambor doesn't fit the stealthy part of it (+0 DEX mod, disadvantage from heavy armor) but with Pass Without Trace could still have a chance of doing decently. And in terms of combat synergy, Bless is always a nice one. Gets bonus to-hit and saves on concentration. (Not sure if your Ranger is melee or archer, but either way can help if you're using Hunter's Mark or other concentration spells.) And I feel it's always plausible for fighters to end a successful day with a round of drinks.
Nesrick, my gnomish stars druid as I mentioned before is a diviner of sorts and would certainly come into contact especially much with those members of the tribe in charge since his divinations would be consulted when deciding on directions in which to head and battles in which to engage. I imagine Nesrick would also offer some kind of "alternative medicine" as I believe his druidic healing would be more in tune with nature rather than specific gods, though some could consider Nesrick a shaman of nature gods. Maybe there's some kind of an elder's council who lead/guide the leader of the tribe, Nesrick could very well be on that council.
Though Nesrick is an old dude with a knack for healing, he still has a boisterous yearning for some good old fashioned combat though he does often do so in animalform.

I think leveling would probably be done after major events in the story, rather than doing experience points, if that is agreeable.

I've been a part of a PbP campaign where there were multiple threads and it went very well. If you are suggesting a single main thread, like a "homebase" thread, and then each quest is it's own thread, that just sounds too good, so organized. The only drawback might be some people miss out, but it might be interesting if people show up, along the way. Clear and transparent rules and guidelines never hurt anybody, so I'm down.

That makes perfect sense as otherwise it would mean that those that aren't as active end up behind etc. This all sounds really well thought-out so I'm really looking forward to it! :)

I have two shortswords (finesse) and a longbow, with a +5 DEX modifier, and I have the ‘Two-Weapon Fighting’ fighting style, so I’m good at melee and archery, but I specialise in melee.

I think they mean they are playing in an in person campaign as a cleric that day rather than being a doctor just on Saturdays

Due to the versatility of my character, I would have connections with anyone who:
* Likes some decent dwarvish ale (as I am the tribe brewer)
* Fights
* Heals (I have healing spells)
* Is sneaky (I have +18 stealth with pass without a trace)

I'm A-OK with milestone levelling. So that's fine by me, personally.
