Looking somewhat amused the Dragonborn replies “yer musk had mor term with soft folk ten is gud fer ya brother, ya eyes be all wet. Bets tat yer berk with da clan, stamp sum lieff berk ta ya.”
((Although a 8 is not a great roll as you appear to be Dragonborn and changelings would be foreign to him I think it’s reasonable to say the Gorthax Clans members Fierce loyalty to be enough for it to pass. After all the mind sees what it expects to see))
Jaren casts a spell upon the bond fire causing them to boom with thunder. “Oi wats up with da fire, its arcting silly” the Dragonborn yells at the others who had been investigating it.
Jaren is able to hack his way into the supply wagon with his axe, and with everyone busy with the fire no one hears or notices. Inside are crates and sacks all marked with one of three different merchant company brands. Probably pillaged from those desperate enough to take the quick route through the marshes. There are also three small chests on a shelf.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cetar takes a quick look around and sees no point in taking the merchant supplies, however his eyes are drawn to the chests. He'll scan them for traps (Investigation 11) and if he finds nothing he'll take all three
(I feel kind of bad that I’m doing nothing but I’m just gonna wait until it’s a good time to infiltrate or, if needed, a surprise attack. Sorry once again, hopefully there will be a point where I can do something!)
((Aw no you're good dude! sorry nothing has happened yet. I think we could go into the supply wagon together))
Balen looked up at the guard tearfully. Originally he had been thinking about the many ways he could murder the guy. Stab him in the leg. In the neck. In the eye. But the kindness he gave was a nice surprise.
"Ye- yeah may- maybe you're right." He said in between sniffles, "I don't th-think I'm cut out for patrolling right about now... Thanks." Something about the compassion that the Dragonborn had was slightly offsetting. Almost jarring for the changeling. It was like in a dream, where you have a connection with someone nice but they were never really real. And you always wake up in the end. He almost felt bad for tricking him, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. 'Tis is the life for a shapeshifting trickster.
He stayed on the ground there for a while, softly crying long enough until they were all distracted by the fire. Then he made a break for it. "C'mon let's go." He whispered over wherever Tildrash was hiding. He didn't bother with stealth-ing it this time. He was always horrible at it, but since he wasn't apprehended the last time, he might as well just nonchalantly walk over there.

Cetar crawls out of the wagon and says to Jaren ‘There wasn’t much in there, only supplies stolen off merchants but I managed to nab three chests of a shelf so we can open them when we get back to the boat away from these guys.’ He then makes his way back through the long grass to where Balen and Tildrash are to inform them off the loot.
Jaren laughs a little to himself as the changeling tricks the Gorthax clan member. He's fairly certain he remembers the guy from his experience as a prisoner. He enters the wagon and finds any boxes from a merchant that he recognizes as dealing weapons. If he finds one, he will try to break it open with his axes and take any good. After he does this, he lights a torch with a tinderbox and hides it on the wagons floor behind the boxes, and exits the wagon. He casts thaumaturgy to create another thunderclap from the fire, and the door to one of the caravans to fly open, then slam shut.
Now all of the patrolling guards are at the fire looking around for the root of the events. Out of the caravan with the flinging door come more Dragonborns look for the cause of the commotion windows begin to open up as the fire persists its unusual behavior. You recognize two of the three merchant brands as the three arrows of the Sharp Panoply Co. a minor player in the armaments industry who has often —to no avail— tried to overturn Braveson’s monopoly. They have crates filled with arrows, javelins, spears and a four cases each holding a short sword. The Second brand, a scythe crossed with a hoe under are the words ‘we sow we reap’, belongs to the Farming Federation. They are a semi independent coalition of farmers who had a revolt after an economic crisis. Their crates and sacks are filled with produce and seeds. The remaining which you are not familiar with are marked with a eye that has rays like the sun and has two orbital eyes one on the top left and one in the bottom right ((it’s my profile pic)) the boxes contain only blank paper sheets.
Once Cetar makes it back to Tildrash and Balen, he'll explain what's going on in the wagon and that once Jaren has a look about we should be all good to set sail. He also informs them on the chests he picked up, asking if he should open them now or later.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((ohhh mystery markings... will we ever know the mystery behind your profile pic?))
Making his way towards the wagon, Balen spotted Cetar in the long grass. "What's up?" He said in a hushed whisper and looked around. He looked about if were gonna die of laughter, the tears on his face were still visible. "I can't believe- no, you wouldn't believe it. Oh man." He shut his mouth to keep from hysterical laughter.
He put his hand to his head to push away his hair, but realized it wasn't even there, "Man, he really bought it? I still can't believe it. All I did was cry." He looked down and caught sight of the supplies, "Nice. What did you see?" He glanced back over at the fire, moving aside whilst trying to cover up the view of Cetar and Jaren with his Dragonborn body. "I don't know if that fire can hold them off forever. Nice work, by the way, Jaren." He clicked his tongue and gave him a thumbs up... or claws up, hehe, by the looks of it.
"Do you think we can like, I dunno, steal a horse or something to go faster? How big is Gorthax territory anyways." He squinted, trying to get a good look around.

The marsh extends outward for a long distance about 600 acres. Sprinkled across it are other caravan encampments, you can count out 22. Beyond the marsh is the dry lands which is flat lacking any vegetation composted of only cracked mud thirsting for the water hoarded by the soil here in the marsh.
Tildrash stays behind Balen ready for whatever he might have in store. "Any ideas friend," Tildrash whispers, "Whatever you need me for I will make sure it's done."
Jaren speaks up, "I suggest we move, any second now, their supply wagon will go up in flame, and we don't want to be anywhere near it when that happens."
((oh yeah right I forgot Jaren set the wagon on fire. XD
what do you guys think we should do now? are we going back to the boat or trying to hijack a wagon? something else? is the territory accessible by boat? And @Dusken since Tildrash is from the clan, did you want him to explore it? I feel bad that since this was originally your campaign, we haven't focused much on your character. did you want him to do more in here? I have no clue what we should do ahhh.))

[I agree with SunDial, since Tildrash is from Gorthrax it's probably best to give them some time to explore the territory and do what they want since Dusken hasn't gotten much play in between all of our shenanigans. Whatever Dusken is happy to do around the territories, Cetar will be happy to follow, especially since Tildrash serves as a really good de facto leader of the party.
I think our original purpose for coming to the clan was just to get passage through to the Sandhills, so we could raid a few more caravans but since the marsh is so empty and vast we'll probably manage to make our way through without many complications, so whatever Dusken is happiest for us to do next]
((Oh true. but what do you want to do in this campaign? like did you want Tildrash to interact with them more? explore the area? I'm not the DM, but I'm guessing this is kind of like a sandbox game? if not, I'm sorry for assuming. so it's your call on what we should do! I'll follow your lead! :) and so will Balen, begrudgingly))

A quick glance around the shelf reveals nothing to deter you, picking each one up doesn’t seem to activate any traps.
