I beleive Amiz suggested specifically keeping the loot.
[[ Ah, yeah, now I realize I misread it. I saw "keep the loot" and got messed up with thinking it was saying "keep the loot, constable." Now I get it. Whoopsie. ]]
"If I may dear friends, I would like to go to the temple to see to my devotions, after we decide where to stay. The Proud Stag may be a place where we can pick up some information," Valar recommends to the group.
2. Shepley's Farm (Free but in a barn. Also no prospect for information like Valar said).
Valar can of course head to the Temple of Isia. Anyone can accompany him, although if you also wanted to do anything else it will have to be tomorrow, the sun is getting pretty low.
You head to the humble Temple of Isia, where an old woman names Sister Gwendoline is doin her daily chores, her hair done up in an escoffion. She raises her hands out in greeting, "Sir Valar, you've come back. And you've brought some of your friends with you. What are your names wanderer's? And why do you seek the light of Isia?"
Valar approaches, taking her hands in his in greeting. "Little mother, may I present Liairin, and Draiocht of my present company. We have confronted the goblins, and freed prisoners. I have returned to do my devotions and give thanks in our victory, and to seek guidance in our next endeavor to push back the darkness."
Draíocht follows Valar's example, taking her hands in his. "Hello, little mother. Since it seems we'll be in town for while I thought it best to learn about the spiritual life of this town. Valar seemed to find good guidance."
Religion: 13+3 = 16 //just thinking on if there's background info he'd know about Isia like what she's a goddess of
Isia is the god of the sun and the hearth. Her persona isn't overly matronly though, in fact, Isia is a stoic and stern god. Often depicted with strong features and long grey hair.
Sister Gwendoline holds your hand in hers, "The spiritual life of this town? It is almost non existent my elvin friend. Since the Fall of Thalor all my flock have been slowly leaving. I simply stay to service the few who still remain."
Amiz does not have that much spirituality in him, so he heads to the Inn. He seeks out the Innkeeper and ask him "Do you know of anyone with money that needs a job done?"
Valar will the two to speak while he seeks the alter, and takes a knee before it. There, he bows his head, and communes with Isia, and in turn, with Helm. He seeks guidance on how to better defend these people, to cleans their land of the growing taint of darkness, and to serve. He meditates on the matter and hopes for divine inspiration.
Thelanis - Sister Gwendoline holds your hand too, "My child, redemption is available to all of us. But Isia teaches us that we must make of our heart a stone, and once we pick a path follow it, knowing that she guides the choices of those that act with confidance."
Amiz - you head to The Proud Stag and find Wrovak, rubbing his hip and wincing. He looks up at you and smiles at the question, "You looking for mercenary work friend? Best head to the Dwarven Mining Association. They'll surely have work for a strong arm such as yourself. They probably don't mind you mane and what not either, being outsiders themselves. Care to buy a drink before you go?"
Valar - You kneel and begin to pray and feel the guidance you usually do when connecting with your god; an internal knowing that to smite the wicked is your path. But all of a sudden you feel a darkening, as though something has intercepted the message. You see darkness, then feel a throbbing... then see an eye looking at you in the darkness. A bloodshot eye with a purple pupil. It is swivelling around in the darkness, but keeps stopping on you. You feel a voice calling out to you, "Come to me, come. Be one with us in this place." And you feel an urge to get up and run eastward, towards Kholias.
Valar please roll a DC15 Wis Save or start running towards Kholias.

Thelanis and Draíocht - As you're talking to Sister Gwendoline, you hear Avery let out a scream. He get's up and runs for the door. The look in his eye reminds you of the one you saw in Sanford the other night.
[[ Looks to me like Avery screamed because Valar started running. I'm assuming Avery is a woman so the "he" referred to Valar. ]]
Draíocht listens as Gwendoline offers her advice to Thelanis, pleased to see someone being kind to the warrior.
When the scream is heard he rushes to aid Thelanis.
if Thelanis' grapple is successful
Draíocht follows after Thelanis. "Good on stopping him." he says, casting shillelagh as he approaches in case Valar gets violent. "Let's help you hold him while getting some ropes." He casts guidance on her to aid against any attempts to escape the, apparently mad, paladin makes.
if Thelanis' grapple is unsuccessful
He turns to Gwendoline, "Seems we have more pressing matters to attend to right now. Get some rope if you will." Following after Valar he wildshapes into a bear and also attempts to grapple the maddened paladin.
Athletics: 1+4 = 5 //darn //will use reaction for non-lethal damage

"If I may dear friends, I would like to go to the temple to see to my devotions, after we decide where to stay. The Proud Stag may be a place where we can pick up some information," Valar recommends to the group.
Well at the moment you've got two options:
1. The Proud Stag (You'll have to pay this time).
2. Shepley's Farm (Free but in a barn. Also no prospect for information like Valar said).
Valar can of course head to the Temple of Isia. Anyone can accompany him, although if you also wanted to do anything else it will have to be tomorrow, the sun is getting pretty low.
"Let's do the inn for now, and divide up the loot once we have rooms and privacy to do so."
"I'd like to visit the temple with you, Valar, if you don't mind too much."
Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain
Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards.
DM - The Old Keep
Draíocht shrugs. "Inn it is." He moves to follow Valar and Thelanis to the shrine, seeking to learn more about the spirituality of this town.

So sorry I meant Valar, Avery is Aaagie’s player character in another game I’m running!
haha
I’ll get an Athletics check from Valar as disadvantage from the Hex.
(clever thinking from Thelanis.)
