(OOC How are we doing on HP? At some point we can take a short rest...at another I believe we get one long rest, Sparhawk is pretty spent, but could do a prayer of healing...however with spirit guardians still up, I think we should keep moving and see if we "bump" into any other things.)
I think checking the bottom of the pool is perfectly reasonable it even makes sense to me there would be stuff there since the river flows to here quickly then somehow stops. I guess maybe small cracks take the water elsewhere?
You get one short rest in the lesser caverns, as rheiyre called, so this part. Did you want to use that now?
With that command word you compel the boat to propel itself back to the bridge and once again find yourself at the lake yiu know to be full of dwarf-eating chuul.
Where to from there? The xorn warn of dangers to tbe west where you'd be traveling by foot, while the waterways leading to the west and the north flow away from this lake, the one to the south flows into it. With your folding boat, the strong current poses no great challenge to movement, but which way will you go?
Once his allies have dispatched the undead and everyone is safely back in the boat and heading away from the island Kos blurts out, "Thank you all so much! I usually don't rattle that easily but it all happened so quickly... being grabbed and dragged toward the water reminded me we just lost Cha!jil is a similar fashion and I guess my fears got away from me."
Looking around at all his new and old allies aboard the boat, "I should be ok now that I've got a minute to compose myself."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
(Sparhawk shakes his head.) "Can anyone spare a bit of healing for my friend Koselig. He's too stubborn to admit it, but he doesn't look too good." (Koselig is at 18/63 hp)
"I only have the ability to cast one more spell right now and I wanted to save it for when it might be the most useful, it would be a Mass Healing Word spell."

”they say a friend in need is a friends indeed… how interesting that indeed it is true… we find trust when all seams doomed, when we can no longer stand on our own in the face of impending doom” the bard pontificates in a rhythmic pattern of words and silences, as the group readies to head out and row upstream.
The boat departs the flooded cavern and with the command "shrimpkin" given, it propels itself at 30ft (per 6 seconds) upstream, dauntlessly resisting the strong current. Passing under the bridge, the boat makes a sharp left to leave the still waters of the lake and head north.
The narrow river flows into a domed cavern whose ceiling bristles with stalactites. Faint sounds of trickling water echo from the northwest.
30ft below the wayer, at the bottom of the pool, you notice a faint glimmering light.
<This is where it would have been good if we still had the triton.>
“Back in the water anyone? I can’t imagine it isn’t trapped or infested with some foul creatures… “ tatsat with the spirits still around her for a little while… “if we are to do it sooner than better is probably our best choice… what do you all thing?” Wanting no one to be forced into the water, but also hoping someone might have a better plan than just simply jumping in alone.
"At least two of us should dive down to take a look but you're probably right it would be better if we all stuck together... just in case it is a portal or something and those who get close or trigger it get whisked off somewhere."
Kos leans his head over the rail of the boat and looks down through the water pondering the possibilities of what could be making that light underwater.

Diabrix looks you over and asks “ you seem to have taken a few blows in that last combat. Would you care for some healing “
(4d8 + 2 4th level cure wounds for 27 Hp healed)
“Thank you my new friend.” The paladin says, “I am glad you have joined us.”
“You are gracious with your words, sir. Thank you for being our shield. “

tatsat watches the group bond over injury…

*Sorry for posting to a thread I am not part of*
Is there any reason this thread is marked recruiting?
