Sparhawk got the sticky shield. He would have placed a holy symbol (emblem) on it. A small picture of a small woodwind instrument. (He worships two dieties. Marduk (Lion) and the child goddess Aphrael (AKA Piccolo).
Wysaleth did not find anything he needed. After all, he was a sorcerer. . . okay, maybe at least the caltrops. So, he took 2 bags of caltrops (totalyzing 40 caltrops) and an iron spike. Then, he follows Sparhawk, scanning around to see if he found some kind of boat- or pathway.
Kos takes a good look around at the top of the waterfall. How many directions are there to go from here?
"Which way do we go from here?"

Well, fheres a warerfall, for sure. Yiure at the top of it. It is where rhey empty the chamberpots. Yiu habe any plans for getri g upstream? Itd cutti g through the rock, so walking beside it would require climbing or somehow ascending that cliff face. Otherwise youve got a lot of fast movi g water tumbling over the precipice into the pool below. So, what will it be?
"Hmm... Having just seen giant spiders, I could temporarily turn myself into one in order to climb the wall, though I'm afraid that would only partially solve the problem."
"I could perhaps carry one other... Or place webs beneath us in case someone falls, but I could not carry all, so further ideas are needed."
"Moving upstream is our best bet." Sparahwk opens his bag and pulls out the ropes, a hammer and pitions. "Lets get this going. Baron, can you swim upstream and put some of these in the rocks at 50 feet? Then we can all move forward." (Hammer in a spike, tie rope, move up stream, Repeat. Attach those not good at climbing to the rear. Set up a safety at the edge of waterfall so no one falls over.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Given Baron had a swim speed, you can try it. Str (Athletics) DC 16. If you can do something to justify improved swimming, you can have AD on the roll.
{OOC: Summoned Tentacle of the Deeps to push me up for advantage.}
DC 17 Athletics check: 23.
Baron swims up the river 50 feet and hammers a spike into the rock above the water, tying a rope around it. Then he sends the rope back to his comrades and continues another 50 feet, tying another rope around another pike. He will wait there for his friends. The last one to come up should untie and remove the first pike. Rinse and repeat.
Seeing the rope, Sparhawk will advance first. Then he can help those with less strength and athletic ability come up the river. He will add additional spikes to keep the rope a bit out of the water.
Kos will lend his rope to the climbing endeavor and follow Sparhawk up the waterfall.
"Whew! Let's hope we can leave all... THAT!... behind us! Way behind us!"

+MarCailous can go last. He has a crowbar to remove spikes.*
*He ties the rope around his waist and takes up the rear. He then casts alter self for awaited aquatic adaptation so he's prepared if he needs to swim or cast other things to catch an ally.*
Wysaleth follows in the middle, looking back and up to cast Feather fall should anyone lose their grip. He carefully grips the rope, using gloves on his hands so his sweatinng doesn't make him lose his grip. "So, shall we forget that there is apparently an abyssal god down here?"
Sparhawk looks back, "yes, that would be a good move on our part. This relm is fractured. There are many gods, demons, and unexplained things happening here. Our chance meeting isf part of this fracture effect. We must discover the source of this and repair it."
After getting to the top, the half-elf cleans his clothes, coughing a bit to catch the other's attention. Getting to the top of the waterfall, "Search for a boat or pathway to continue upwards" the huge man says quietly.

"I can swim. The water is moving fast, so it might take a while, though." Baron will attempt to carry out this plan.
