Tenebril and the Devil both just barely miss being slashed by the dragon as they are both surprised by the swiftness of the attack and Tenebril realizes the Dragon wasn't guessing at where he was at. He wonders if it has blindsight(?).
(What does 2LA mean? And yeah they were still within 40ft of each other if that's what you were referring to with the 40ft, I only had them 30ft apart)
Kos swats at the flies as they bite and poison him. It distracts him from what he might cast, if anything.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
(Could I have Tenebril drop a Darkness spell on those affected so that they are now out of LOS of the Dragon? Would that work? I have one charge in my Rod of the Pact Keeper +1 that I could use to restore one slot but not sure if I could get the spell off before he's out of the cavern. If he's far enough away that there's now Darkness between him and the dragon, does that still count?)
You could try it. If he can't see things, he can't target them with spells. But AoE's are still possible and attacks havw DA. I might also adopt the PF2e flat check to decide if a blinded attacker correctly surmised the general.location if a creature.
Calamnus does live in a totally dark cavern...
2LA: 2 legendary actions. In his lair Calamnus has 4 per round, one can be used after another creature's turn. By rule, devil immediately follows Tenebril in initiative, so move and slash after each of their turns, described in one post.

Ah ok, then nah, definitely not wasting a spell on Darkness. And yeah, I've used PF1e rules for blinded attackers but not used any of the 2e rules. Are they still similar or did they make a huge change to those rules?
And thanks for the clarification on the 2LA. Last time I saw something like that post was in a 3/3.5 edition campaign and meant 2 Level Adjustments but I didn't think 5e had that so was confused. I don't think I've actually ran up against anything with Legendary actions yet so that's good to know. So as Adventurers would we know it would be better to try to not fight the dragon in it's own Lair (Or at all I guess lol). I'm assuming one of the keys are going to be in the pile of treasure.
Going back to the light sources vs the darkness in the cave. If we're far enough away that our light sources aren't lighting up the dragon (for those without darkvision) would that count as no longer being able to see them for the "line of sight" part of the Frightened condition?
