Skyequickly shoots her wrathful Eldritch Blast towards one of the foes, eyes flicking to her comrades to make sure she shoots at the one that the others aim towards. Better to be certain that one of their number is thinned and then have to only focus on the duergar.
Damros, staring straight ahead, sees and feels the blast from Skye as it lances forward. Exhaling softly, Damros lets loose a bolt of purple-black energy at the same target.
--> Eldritch Blast (with adv.) (16,14) + 7 = 23 to hit. 7 pts force damage
((Lol, who are we shooting. Are we all happy to shoot the human target, and leave the duergar? Or is the Duergar better as the human might be more plot relevant/know more as he was fighting our contact in the yawning portal?))
If the human is dropping, then switch targets to the Duergar. Though it seems they are worried about something in the next room, I guess we'll find out about what that is the hard way once their dead...
(seeing as the module says if he's alive in relation to the human, he's not that important. It's just a bit of plot development for him if he wasn't killed at the beginning)
The two blasts knock into the human, felling him instantly. The duregar gets a crossbow bolt just passing through their armour. But they are still standing.
That was a surprise round, and you guys are up first for combat. So time to end this before they even act!
Xaul watches as the rest of the party manage to defeat the two with great ease and says ‘Great job gang! Though, these straw mattresses do look fairly flammable, so I could have done something with them. No matter, let’s check the bodies and head on!’

Damros turns to Xaul, "Fire can be useful, however, I do not think we are at the point of bringing the entire city down due to underground fires. Not that I am not against using fire as a tool! Perhaps having these available if a retreat is called for... will come in handy."
Turning to look around the room, Damros asks the question one of the dead might have answered, "What in the Nine Hells were they doing in here before we struck them down?"
Skye scratches her chin. It is harder to speak with the living than the dead, though she looks at the corpse-like Damros and wonders: it’s not always impossible, after all — though it is a spell she lacks.
Sehaethas answers, "I think they were trying to barricade the door. One of them said something about blocking the crack under the door as well. But we sort of have to get through this door to continue our search."
He then adds a comment in Kylaski's voice, "Sounds like fun times ahead!"
Xaulstarts to speak in a fairly intelligent and methodical tone unlike his usual voice, saying 'Well, I'd say if they were blocking the gap under the door they were either doing one of two things. Firstly, there could be an amorphous threat on the other side; fire, gas, an Ooze, etc, so they'd need to make sure all cracks were sealed so it couldn't get through. The other option is that there's a threat on the other side and they're blocking off gaps to prevent any noise being heard by the pursuer, likely because they're intelligent and could understand conversation. In that case, we could apply the ancient logic of 'The enemy of our enemy is our friend' and try to discuss things with the pursuer once we go through' Once again he steps up to the door and says 'Okay, let's repeat what we did last time but don't go in blasting just yet. I'll simply open the door and we can look inside to then determine if we should attack.'

There are two doors from here (if I didn't post a map with this room, I will tomorrow)

Sehaethas releases his crossbow bolt at the same target as well.

Go for the largest target in the room... has always been my philosophy.
[I'd say shoot the human first]

Reload and send another crossbow bolt before he can complain.
Attack 25 (nat 20) crit! damage 10
“Surrender or die!” Skye calls, as the second crossbow bolt strikes true.
((Intimidation Nat 20+3))
Damros tries for a change of tactics. Making an arcane gesture and whispering a word of power, a ghostly, skeletal hand appears next to the duergar.
Chill Touch As the skeletal hand clamps onto the duergar's shoulder, the chill of the grave enters into the creature.
{game log} To Hit: 11+7 = 18 Damage: 5 Necrotic
Damros gives a little smile as the duergar fails to escape the 'touch'.
They might have planned on surrendering. You will never know. Damros gets the killing blow on both of them
