"They were commenting on our worthiness." Fah'lin nods with a wink
"My companions have traveled far, freed villages, rescued explorers, and escaped dungeons. The Heroes of Phandalin, Protectors of the Forge, Friends to Xicohtencatl the Celestial, and Slayers of Tloques-Popolocas the Vampire. We are the Masters of Harrenhal; Our worth has been proven, and we have walked the Ley Lines."
He turns back to the party, "Masters of Harrenhal? We need to come up with a name for ourselves that's less pretentious and specific."

The statues stand impassively looking at you as you stand in the ring formed by the chain gate.
"Well I don't think we will prove our worthiness just standing in the Gate," says Thar. Then to the statues "I have determined how to travel the Ley Lines by virtue of my years of study so I think I am worthy." And with that he steps out of the ring.

The statues ask for an explanation and based on that Arcana roll in post #1299 you are able to satisfy them.
"My allies have looked to me for leadership, and I've sought to protect them in our endeavors to better the lives of the people we encounter." Fah'lin says seeking Guidance as he steps from the ring.(Persuasion: (4)14)

“You are found unworthy and must leave the Node or face dire consequences.” Arya walks out of the circle and picks up some rocks “Maybe they’ll let you try again with something else, they did say mind, body or spirit. I’m sure your good at something.” She starts juggling the rocks and during the display they grow and shrink in number from 3 to 10 and back down to zero. 28
"Guardians of the Node," says Thar, "My companion though boastful in his claims has shown worthiness in his past deeds and I believe would seek to prove himself. Is there no way that one found unworthy initially can seek to gain worthiness? Or should the one be known as Unworthy for all time?"

"You must prove yourself worthy to use the Great Power of the Ley LInes. Only the most accomplished; be it mind, body or spirit will be allowed entry." These things don't strike you as being self aware.
This is basically the same statement as before but Fah'lin did try both STR and CHA before he succeeded.
Arya "Um... they said 'prove your worth'."

Edit: Which will end in an hour.

Aeliarin boosts himself up with Guidance and then launches into an impassioned speech explaining why he's the greatest.

“You are found unworthy and must leave the Node or face dire consequences.”
"Aeliarin really is great." Fah'lin notes.
(Tooting his own horn just isn't Fah'lin's strength.)
"We will pass; I fear no judgement or consequences."
Fah'lin lifts the nearest statue and moves it aside. (Athletics: (4)29)
(Demonstrating his spirit you see.)

I'm amazed that something this simple has dragged on so long. Tarnce and Gijigume are you still with us?
Gijigume impressively tumbles out of the ring.
OOC: Acrobatics 34.
Well, as it seems that Tarnce has left us he steps back through the gate as he has received an important text and needs to go home. [or something]
You all succeeded except Aeliarin. The stone men shoo him out of the node (unless he wants to try something else or puts up a fight).
Aeliarin sulks as he leaves the circle.
You now have a problem, you’re going to have to walk home... or at least Aeliarin will have to.
"Guardians of the Node," says Thar, "My companion though boastful in his claims has shown worthiness in his past deeds and I believe would seek to prove himself. Is there no way that one found unworthy initially can seek to gain worthiness? Or should the one be known as Unworthy for all time?"
Worst case scenario: Aeliarin would polymorph himself into a giant eagle and fly home. Walking is for chumps.

Aeliarin will try some acrobatic tricks, to see if that will do the trick.

Still no good. One last try, I suggest you sing a song to help. (Bardic Inspiration)
