"Lets eat and rest tonight. First light tomorrow morning we will head for Red Larch. It will take a few days, so we will want to leave promptly."Gotrek says to the group made up of his companions and the ex-prisoners. He then turns to Grin and says, "Come with me." He leads the way to a quiet spot where he settles down and goes over his weapons, pulling out a whetstones and a clothe, sharpening and cleaning each of the weapons as they require. As he does this he looks at Grin, "Come on sit, I won't bite your head off." When (and if) Grin sits down, Gotrek starts to talk whilst working on his weapons in a routinely manner. "I think its time we actually get to know each other, especially if we are to keep traveling together. Myself and the others have all ended up together, with our own missions that have ended being intertwined. Some are looking for missing people, where as I," He pauses for a second, "Lets put it simply, I am looking for Vengeance. I won't bore you with the details but I talk to you because you keep mentioning a 'Mud Sorcerer' and I think you and I might be looking for the same person but I can't be sure. I came home one day, to find my village destroyed, fragments of stone armor lying around, that I have identified as being from those guards we fought not long ago, and my brother, half turned to mud/rock/stone from some kind of spell or ritual. I have been looking for the perpetrator ever since and I was wondering if this sounds like the work of the person you are looking for."
"It sure sounds like it could be the same person..." grin says running his claw like fingers through his beard. " I was hired to capture Miraj Vizaan and return him alive if possible for raiding a temple and orphanage... as well as killing a number of folks. they were found half encased in mud..." The shifter would mention motioning to his legs. "I have no.... personal interest in this matter... for me it is more about the coin and reputation as a detective that I am concerned with" Grin will say with a smile. " So when ya say you want vengeance... does that mean ya want him dead.. or would ya settle with just ripping his arms and legs off and cutting out his tongue?" Grin would say with a smile but in a tone that shows he is serious."There are worse things than death...."
Gotrek looks up from his work at Grin. There is a dark look in his eyes. "You said 'return alive if possible', so you will be able to return him. Alive will depend on whats possible in the given situation. Sound Fair?"
"Sounds good to me" Grin will say with a smile, slapping the dwarf on the shoulder before grabbing some dried fish and cheese to eat. After chatting with the others a bit, Grin would lay down and sleep until it was his turn to take watch.
Before Grin can get very far away, Thromkor limps up, holding the strange book. "You two might find this entry interesting." He opens the book to a page, runs a clawed finger down the page to find his place, then begins reading:
Yesterday Helenrae, my non-talking representative on the surface and leader of the Sacred Stone Monastery I have established in an old Dwarvish Temple sent an Earth Genasi called Miraj Vizaan down to my quarters in the Temple accompanied by her 2iC – an human ex-Priest of Lovitar called Quarbo who thinks he is better than he really is – as they thought I might be interested in meeting with him. Afger quizzing him for sometime I have taken this Earth Genasi, who calls himself a Mud Sorcerer, whatever that might be, into the Black Earth cult on a trial basis.
"This diary is by a man named Marlos Unrayle," the dragonborn says, reading a page just inside the front cover. He then looks at both Gotrek and Grin. "He is the founder of the Black Earthers, and I have reason to believe he is still in the city that is underneath the monastery. I believe the bridge where we encountered the gargoyles is the entry into the old city." Thromkor looks down at the closed cover of the book. "I haven't been able to really study this, but it seems like it's very important."
After reading the entry, Gotrek frowns in thought. "Quarbo... Quarbo... Wait a minute! Isn't he the sorcerer we fought when we met you?" he says, gesturing at Grin.
"I have no idea what is name was but I definitely stabbed a sorcerer to death" The shifter will say with a grin. " I would say that journal is accurate... He really wasn't that impressive" Grin would say with a shrug as he dusts off his leather jacket and looks to the rest of the group. "So are we headed to Red Larch or back to this underground city?" Grin would ask locking eyes with each of them.
(I don't know if I missed something but I don't know how we ended up with the halfling lol but figured I might as well ask :D)
(Way back in Post #581 the party found and released 17 prisoners - 14 humans, 2 halflings, 1 gnome and 1 dwarf).

"That works for me" The shifter will respkndwith a nod.
Gotrek nods. "We are agreed then. Get yourself some food and get some sleep. Once I am done here, I will take the first watch."
"Sounds good to me" Grin will say with a smile, slapping the dwarf on the shoulder before grabbing some dried fish and cheese to eat. After chatting with the others a bit, Grin would lay down and sleep until it was his turn to take watch.

Gotrek shrugs. "For now I think we need to get these people to Red Larch.
"For now, let's head to Red Larch," Thromkor echoes.
(if no one else has anything to say, time for sleep?)
(Can somebody put up a post describing Order of March, etc and how you are going to get this lot of 17 prisoners moving then)

(I would suggest Gotrek and Grin up front, the prisoners in the middle and the rest at the back. But that's just a suggestion.)
Thromkor's always in the back. Do we need to sleep?
(I was more thinking cuz it was night time. But if you want to walk through the night?)
