After the Feast and Early Morning - Third Day, 1st Tenday, Kythorn - Month of Flowers
The Feast continues long into the night but eventually the Lord Commander says “Enough, for we need to fly tomorrow.” He makes two of the vacant chambers on this floor (Northwest & Southwest) available to the party – they can each sleep two. Lady Savra says Sirahane “Sira, you can share my chamber tonight” as she leads her upstairs. The Lord Commander arranges for pallets to be brought into the Great Hall for the remaining three party members.
At dawn people start to move around in the Castle and the party wakes up; some with clearer heads than others. The Lord Commander walks into the Great Hall and says “after you break your fast, my knights will take you down to the valley floor, please assemble when ready on the Pinnacle.”
The party makes it way to the Pinnacle where they notice that it is just below freezing (30F) and the cold wind continues to blow while the sun is trying to break through the snow clouds. When they look around they see four Knights on Giant Vultures are assembled. There are also three Hippogriffs saddled up but unlike last night they don’t have weapons strapped to their saddles. The Lord Commander turns to Gotrek, Thromkor and Tibold and says “the Hippogriffs will carry you to the valley floor. Everybody else, except for the birdman, will fly on the back of a vulture.”He points to a sling and says “the cat will need to ride in this.” At which point Lady Savra says to Sirahane, “what about your horse and your colleague’s mount, they will need to be carried to the valley floor as well.” At this the Lord Commander organises for two more slings to be brought out. As the party flies off he says “Happy hunting!”
The party flies down to the valley floor with the two knights carrying Cole and Sirahane making a quick detour to the other side of the drawbridge.
When the party alights from their mounts they notice that the Valley is actually a wide canyon consisting of a deep gorge (up to 50 feet deep in places) through which a small river flows. Rock spires rise from the canyon floor, and as the wind blows past these natural structures it makes a sighing — and sometimes a howling — sound. The valley floor is covered with rocky spires and wild brush and is considered difficult terrain. Approximately 750 feet to the east you can see a Giant Vulture on the ground feeding on something.
Gotrek, barely able to contain himself starts to walk ahead, not even taking note if the rest of the group is following behind. "Lets go see what that vulture is chowing down on, and see if we can find any clues as to where these Black Earther bastards are holed up."
Redleaf looks over at the vulture and shrugs. "Damned scavengers. Anyway, Let's head off. We were told south. Let the vulture eat. He isn't bothering anyone and he is not in our way."
Redleaf watches Gotrek head towards the Vulture and shrugs before she begins heading south following the directions the Lord Commander gave her.
If South is the way we were told to go then I am heading south.
On the way there, Tibold is in back with Thromkor. The few talk in hushed voices from time to time, stopping when anyone gets close to them. Tibold is friendly with all who speak to him, though he seems preoccupied.
Lanoros will lead the way with Redleaf, “I agree, leave the vulture be. We are already behind. We need to find the delegation, who knows if they are even alive anymore...”

"Screw it, the Black Earthers are the priority." Gotrek agrees as he turns towards the direction Redleaf and Lanaros are heading. "But I trust you guys can find their camp then."
"Screw it, the Black Earthers are the priority." Gotrek agrees as he turns towards the direction Redleaf and Lanaros are heading. "But I trust you guys can find their camp then."
"You got the same directions I did, so you should be able to lead us there. Or did you forget everything the Commander told you?"Redleaf shakes her head and continues walking.
As they are walking south, Redleaf says to no one in particular but loud enough to be heard by everyone." By the way, Those Feathergale Knight people we just left. They are followers of Yan-C-Bin, The Prince of Evil Air. The last they were around was about 150 years ago. All he cared about was seeing realm after realm torn apart by the wind. And the Black Earthers where we are heading towards are followers of Ogrémoch, The Prince of Evil Earth. If you haven't figured it out yet, the elemental princes are back after 150 years and trying to destroy the world. Our little delegation is caught in the middle of it somehow but they aren't our problems. That air cult we just left needs to be destroyed as well as the earth cult, and then fire and water. I don't know much about those two cults. I just know about the Earth and Wind."
"I'm going to attempt again to reason with the spiky she-dwarf," Thromkor says to Tibold, none too quietly. "Perhaps a good night's sleep has helped her to see reason." With some effort, Thromkor limps forward, eventually making up the distance with RedLeaf so that he can plod along beside her. "Madam," he says, more defensively than he had planned, "I know you feel a need to vanquish these Earthers. If what you say is true, we must act. But in case they have information concerning the missing delegation, I implore you to allow us to question them first. Whether you believe the elf is still alive, they may know where to find these seeds you seek." He opens his mouth as if to say more, but then shuts up instead.
Redleaf looks over at the Dragonborn " I already told you what you needed to know and my feelings about your delegation. And the more you question my honesty the more I dislike you and have no need for you."
Lanoros stays with Redleafs pace. "We must do something about them, maybe after we check out the Black Eathers. As they might have the delegation with them still." Lanoros will keep an eye out,for anything out of the ordinary on the road ahead of them. "What do you think is the plan if all of these groups a resurfacing?"
surely not all the members are evil, some might not realize even what or who their patron is. indesriminate destruction seems extreme. Is there no diplomacy anymore?

Redleaf responds to Cole. "Well, you can go and talk to them but an evil cult is an evil cult. Their Lord commander is part of the cult and I highly doubt he would bring people into his "Society" that weren't cult members. That would be foolish because he wouldn't be able to do what his God wished him to do without raising any suspicion. They had a prisoner that the Commander said Thromkor was going to get a chance to talk to but I told him they wouldn't let him and sure enough we are on the road and Thromkor is even further away from the person he wanted to talk to then last night. If you want to talk to a cult that wants to destroy the world then I think your priorities are in the wrong place. I may be mean and grumpy and have no social skills but I like living."
Redleaf turns towards Laronos as they walk. "To finish destroying the world for The Elder Elemental Eye of course. Why else would they be resurfacing?"
Party Order: Polly 15-20’ in the air 10 -15’ in front of the party | Lanoros, Phantom & Redleaf | Gotrek & Cole | Thromkor & Tibold – is that right? – please advise if not.Put your spoiler here.
After about half an hour of traversing the valley floor and picking their way through rock piles the party has covered about a quarter of a mile and is at the point where the Lost River starts to turn away from the West wall of the canyon when suddenly the path they are following through rocks averaging 15-20 feet apart opens up. But in front of them they can see seven (7) dog headed creatures making their way further into the canyon.
Gnoll Type 1 has a chain shirt, is armed with a glaive & a longbow (currently over his shoulder), Gnoll Type 2 is as per the second picture, Gnoll Type 3 is as per the first but also has a longbow over the shoulder.
