After having searched the Gnoll pack's bodies and collected the miserly amount of treasure they were carrying, picked up what ever had been dropped, etc., the party continues to make its way out of the Sighing Valley. After about another half an hour of traversing the valley floor the party finally exits the Valley. Now that you are down from the hills, you are more protected from the cold wind blowing from the North, and it now only gusts at up to 15 mph.
As the Lost River exits the valley it turns and flows to the East. Crossing the river through a shallow ford is a path, wide enough for the party to walk three abreast, running East to West which appears to skirt the southern slopes of the Sumber Hills. The path to the West heads back to Red Larch while to the East the path crosses over the Lost River in a shallow ford and is the way to where you believe the Black Earthers have a redoubt.
If we must, but keep an eye out for clues to the missing delegation, if we find some indication the black earthers were involved in their disappearance we should capture one to interrogate

The party continues east for about 15 miles when they can see the sun is starting to go down. Fortunately where they are they are protected from the snow they can see falling on the hills above them.

"I guess we should set up camp for the night. All this walking is taking forever. I will keep the first watch and the rest of you get some sleep. I'll wake up Gotrek for Second and he will wake up someone for the third watch. I personally don't care who. I'm just going to scout the area real quick to make sure there are no dangers around."
Redleaf will go forage and keep an eye out for things while doing so. Once she gets back to camp she will feed Cairn, Phantom and herself from the food she foraged and then get ready for the first watch.

You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
Thromkor picks out a level spot, informs Tibold that that's where he's going to roll out his bed, and heads there. He eases down onto his bedroll, eats a ration, and attempts to get comfortable and rest.
Cole stretches out by the fire after helping set up camp. He sets out some food for his mastiff that he gets out of the saddlebags. He will brush down his coat to get the dust and dirt of the road off, He will then eat and get some sleep.
Lanoros will forage and take second watch. He gives Phantom a rub on the head, "lets get some rest we will be taking second watch."

Tibold sets up his bedroll, as usual, a respectful distance from Thromkor's. He finishes off the day's rations, and volunteers cheerfully for third watch, before catching some much-needed sleep.
Gotrek sits down, cleans his Great-Axe and sets up his bedroll. He then eats the rest of his days rations with a mouthful of water before going to sleep.
After an uneventful night, the party awakes and starts moving soon after daybreak (circa 4.30 am). It is a lovely spring day and there are no signs of rain-clouds in the sky. After the party has been travelling along the path for about 4 miles which is often hemmed in by thick bushes and large rocks, and is criss-crossed by small animal trails, Phantom suddenly stops and pricks up his ears and tail swishing stares intently ahead.
The party comes up to Phantom, which both Lanoros and Redleaf would know, is signally he has detected something ahead that he is not sure about, They can see that the path continues on for 25 yards before it turns a corner and that on both sides it is lined to a depth of about a yard with thick brush (2x movement) which is in front of even thicker brush (4x movement). You can see an animal trail (1’-1’6” wide) formed by animals coming down from the Sumber Hills to drink in the Lost River, which is running some distance to the South but roughly parallel to the path, crossing the main path about 15 yards ahead.
Party order: Polly ranging up to 15’ in front of the party and 15’ to the rear of the party and about 15’ above the party. Phantom ranging up to 15’ in front of the party and regularly returning to Lanoros’ side. First rank = Lanoros, Redleaf and Gotrek. Second Rank = Cole, Thromkor and Tibold. Bringing up the rear is Sirahane.

Redleaf points to the North. "Smoke, it may be from a campfire. I see a tiny smudge of it about 50 yards ahead and twenty feet to the north. Anyone good at scouting? if so, go check it out. It could be our people we are hunting down. I'm loud and clumsy when it comes to that stuff."
Upon waking up this morning, you notice that Lanoros' skin tone has turned a bright orange, his cloak has shifted in color from the vibrant green of spring to the yellows and oranges of Autumn. His scale mail now a vibrant yellow with an orange tint to it.
"I can check it out, I'll be back in no time. I'll send Phantom if somethings wrong."
Lanoros begins with Phantom heading toward the smoke.

After a few minutes, Lanoros and Phantom emerge from the brush. "Well that was interesting. There is a camp of 6 tents, I only saw 5 humans. They had some interesting armor, I couldn't recall if I had seen it before maybe one of you might be familiar: a women carrying a shield that looks like it is made from a crab's carapace and is armed with some sort of jagged sword; a figure surrounded by some sort of mist and is dressed in furs. Those are the 2 of note. 1 other person had a quater staff, the last two had scimitars and leather armor. If need be we could definitely take them."

"Well let's go give these guys a visit, if you want this "Crushing Wave' person left alive, I will let you deal with them. But I make no promises for these Black Earthers." Gotrek says, readying his Great-Axe as he starts pacing, eager to rush the camp.
