"Redleaf, I've agreed this whole time," Lanoros says with a chuckle. "I would just like a little proof before I go and kill a bunch of people. If what you say is true about these cults then they must be stopped!" Lanoros reaches out towards Cairn and gives him a ration, as well as Phantom. "You know, I was a little skeptical of your friend Redleaf. But I think he has made a great addition to our ragtag band." He begins to lead the way back through the brush towards the camp.

"If this cult is as dangerous as you say, then we must certainly destroy them."He glances at Thromkor. "For all of Faerun. But it is extremely important that we procure information from the cultists beforehand. Besides what my colleague and I are investigating, does it not seem likely that this group is part of a larger one? If we just barge in and start fighting, we may never find out things that we'd wish we had."
Redleaf sighs "Aye, we leave one alive for interrogation before we kill him afterward. Of course, it is one of a larger group. Didn't you listen to a word I said before? The Princes of Elemental Evils all worship the Elder Elemental God and are trying to destroy the world for him. I only knew of the two, Air and Earth but it seems you know something about Water and I assume there is a fire cult out there as well. Open your eyes and ears you dolt and pay attention."
Redleaf turns towards Thromkor "I always knock them unconscious. I use a Warhammer. A weapon made for stopping a fight, not a life. But I have no problem with someone killing things that need be killed. Now let's get a move on. I don't feel like dallying around here all day. My mountain goes unguarded while I'm on this stupid quest."
Redleaf picks up the pace towards the camp but will slow down when we get close enough as to try and be a little sneaky.

Tibold scowls, subtlety forgotten.
"I have been paying attention, noble dwarf. I've watched and listened to you verbally and sometimes physically attack anyone who irks you in any way, heard your grand speeches on total destruction of all of these cults and their sympathizers, and held my tongue as best I could at your repeated insults of my colleague and I. I'd like to tell you about something called subtlety, but you can't smash it with a warhammer, so why would you care?"
"I will repeat what I said earlier. I have some unfinished business with these guys. Keeping one alive makes sense, but unlike the warhammer, it is a lot harder to knock someone out with a Great-Axe." Gotrek says chuckling. "So no promises that I can keep one alive but I will try because I want to get rid of ALL of these bastards. So once you guys have finished yapping we can get started."
The party continues down the path towards where they know the encampment is. As they turn the corner they see that the path widens out into a clearing that is about 75 feet east to west and at its 35 feet north to south (at its widest point). In the middle of the clearing is a small, carefully banked cooking fire smolders in the middle of what appears to be haphazard encampment. Half a dozen battered old tents and crates of provisions are scattered around, along with racks on which pieces of smoked fish are curing. Several fierce-looking human warriors are hunkered down in front of their tents, tending to their gear or quietly conversing.
As the party enters the edge of the clearing the figure dressed in furs and surrounded by a mist (grey dot) looks up and yells out “Avast there ya scurvy dogs, attack the strangers”. A woman carrying a shield that looks like it is made from a crab's carapace and is armed with some sort of jagged sword (green dot) pulls a javelin out of the ground beside her and gets it ready to throw. A man wearing a chain shirt and carrying a quarter staff yells out “no mercy for those who would oppose the Princess”. Four men wearing leather armor, carrying scimitars and light crossbows (red dots) pick up their crossbows and bring them up to the aiming position.
Lanoros pulls out his bow, "Well i guess the time for chit chat is over." He speaks some magic words in Sylvan. His bow begins to grow thorns. He launches the arrow at B1, the arrow glows green a leaves a faint green trail in its wake.
Upon hitting the human, a writhing mass of vines and thorns sprouts from the ground, entangling the man.

Upon seeing the encampment with his own eyes, he realises who he is seeing. "It's you! You are the people that took everything from me!" he calls out. This is probably the first serious and non sarcastic/mocking thing the party has heard Polly say. With that he drops the bow (again) and draws his Rapier, swoopingdown to CRW-1 stabbing them with his rapier before disengaging (fancy footwork) and using his cunning action to fly back to his original spot.

Gotrek Pre-Post
Gotrek looks around feverishly, rage building (bonus action - rage). "Where are they? Where are these damned black earthers?" He calls out, charging B1 and swinging his great-axe.
Responding to the attack cry from the figure dressed in furs and the human wearing the chain shirt, Cole rushes forward – using his halfling nimbleness to dodge around Lanoros – to engage the woman carrying a shield that looks like it is made from a crab's carapace who was reaching to pull a javelin out of the ground (CWR #1). He swings with his club but due to his momentum was slightly off-balance and he misses. Not so with his flurry of blows, the first an elbow strike hits for 7 points of damage but due to the weight difference between Cole and the women he is unable to knock her prone. His sweeping foot kick successfully connects with her knee for 5 points of damage and she stands there clutching her knee.
At this point Polly seeing the encampment with his own eyes and realising who he is seeing yells out "It's you! You are the people that took everything from me!"This is probably the first serious and non sarcastic/mocking thing the party has heard Polly say. With that he drops the bow (again) and draws his Rapier, swooping down from his height of 15’ to attack the woman, successfully stabbing her with his rapier for 5 points of damage. He then uses his fancy flightwork to disengage (but due to the sore knee she was in no position to respond anyway) before using his cunning action (Dash) to fly back to his original position.
The woman decides to no longer try and drag the javelin out of the ground. Instead she pulls out her shark-toothed longsword and swings it wildly at Cole. His shortness means that the blade whistles over his head.
Lanoros pulls out his bow saying, "well I guess the time for chit chat is over." He speaks some magic words in Sylvan and his bow begins to grow thorns. He looses at arrow at the man dressed in leather armour (B1) on the southern side of the encampment. As the arrow leaves the bow it glows green and leaves a faint green trail in its wake. The arrow hits man in the chest for 9 points of damage and as it hits a writhing mass of vines and thorns sprouts from the ground, entangling the man.
Tibold - you're up, then Gotrek (pre-posted) and Redleaf.
Tibold and Thromkor - you're hit points may change depending on whether you save.
Tibold studies the man (OES) surrounded by mist."I want to talk to her," he tells Thromkor, playing a single, low note on his spectral keyboard. The man tries to get to his feet but is frozen in place.
Gotrek looks around feverishly, his rage building (bonus action - rage)."Where are they? Where are these damned Black Earthers?"he calls out, charging the bandit (B1) directly in front of him and swinging his great-axe. The man vainly raises his crossbow but Gotrek’s mighty axe – powered by his rage – slices through it, the bandit’s leather armour and the bandit like a hot knife through butter. The bandit falls to the ground in two pieces.
"Fer crying out loud, and you think we should talk to these cultists. Such a nice warm welcome" Redleaf says as she chants in Druidic holding her hands high and at the end of her chant she brings them down rapidly as pale moonlight descends on the second bandit (B2) and also catching the adjacent bandits (B3 & B4). B2 frantically tries to dodges the pulsating moonbeams and fails taking 13 points of damage, his crisped corpse falls to the ground. The other two bandits are more successful at dodging the pulsating moonbeams; only taking 6 points of damage.
The man in the chainmail shirt (CWP) turns and looks at his companion in furs who has just been frozen in place and determining that Tibold was responsible flings an Ice Knife at him. It hits Tibold in the chest doing 5 points of damage and then explodes showering Redleaf, Thromkor and Tibold in icy particles. Redleaf quickly chants in Druidic (casting Absorb Elements) and some of the shards melt and turn into mist before they reach her which she breathes in. Thromkor's scaly hide resists the cold damage caused by the ice shards and he only takes 3 points of damage. Just as the remaining two bandits (B3 & B4) are about to raise their crossbows, the Moonbeam pulsates; unable to avoid its gentle(?) rays, their crisped bodies collapse to the ground. At about this time a much larger bandit – a half-orc this time (B5) steps out of a tent rubbing his eyes and looking around in bewilderment. The man in the furs (OES) attempts to struggle to his feet but finds he still cannot move.

"But we attacked —" but then he is showered in sharp ice shards, causing him to shut his mouth in surprise and pain. He curses and hobbles forward (to the square behind and between Cole and Gotrek). "Stop!" he shouts. "What are you doing? We aren't some band of criminals!"
