**PRE-POST**
Gotrek lets out his inner fury and bellows a challenge in dwarvish (Rage). He then uses his reaction to move 30' towards the closest monster (Z1) and swings wildly with his Great-Axe (Reckless).
OOC: Because of time zone issues – Cole is 4 hours behind Tibold and Thromkor, 12 hours behind the DM and 13.5 hours behind Gotrek and that he has initiated the same action as Thromkor (i.e. lighting a torch) but provided an alternative action if a torch was already lit, I am swapping Cole and Thromkor in the initiative order in order to keep the game flowing.
"Don't get up too quickly,"Tibold calls to the closest of the creatures. "We'll be putting you back before you know it."The first monster (Zombie 1) shakes its head and slows down its attempt to sit-up, as if it has just been given an overriding command, but then continues to try and sit up. Then, Tibold looks down at his spectral keyboard, narrowing his eyes as he plays a vibrant series of arpeggios, each faster than the other. For just a moment, the half-elf's fair skin glows with a brilliant radiance, and he is surrounded by an aura of white flames, which fill him and his allies with sudden vigor.
Thromkor lights a torch and can see that there are two Zombies lurching towards the party, he can hear noises which lead him to suspect that there are more. If asked, Gotrek and Tibold could confirm that there are in fact four more Zombies lurching towards them.
Gotrek lets out his inner fury and bellows a challenge in dwarvish as he enters a rage. He then uses his reaction to move 30' towards the first Zombie and without regard for his own safety swings wildly with his Great-Axe just as it tries to sit up doing 17 points of slashing damage. The Zombie continues to try and get to its feet but the damage was too much for it and it collapses back on its bier Tibold is not often right in his predictions but in this case he was!
The second Zombie lurches to its feet and moves towards Gotrek wildly swinging its fists which Gotrek easily ducks under. Cole rushes towards the second Zombie and connects with his club doing 7 points of bludgeoning damage. He follows this up with a sweeping kick to the creature’s knee for a further 8 points of bludgeoning damage.
Thromkor lowers the head of his ebony staff and rubs his free hand along on top of the orb. Uttering a few words in Draconic, he looks at Z3 and a four foot diameter replica of the orb appears beside it, floating in the air and shimmering slightly. Thromkor points at the zombie and the orb flies at it in an attempt to hit it.
Not being able to see anything beyond, Cole takes out a torch and lights it. The he tosses it aiming for about 10 to 15 feet away from himself to light up more of the room.
Tibold smirks."What did I tell you?" he asks no one in particular. Then,"five more zombies. Almost enough to be dangerous; maybe if they didn't move slower than my grandmother?"You can see the second Zombie slow down as it tries to understand all the big words that Tibold just used and work out was he was saying.
Thromkor drops the torch on the ground, raises a clawed hand at Z2 and speaks a few words in Draconic and although numbing frost forms on its skin and the remains of the burial shroud it was buried in, it has no more impact that that.
Gotrek makes another reckless wild swing with his axe at the second Zombie doing 8 points of slashing damage. Surprisingly it is still standing and he follows up with a knee to the Zombie’s groin for 10 points of bludgeoning damage. As an age old debate is that since they’re dead; do Zombies feel pain? This argument can be likened to other great debate “if a tree falls in the forest and nobody, or nothing, is there to hear it did it make a noise? The response of the Zombie as it goes down clutching its groin suggests it does have a sufficient residual memories to feel pain – so there!
Unable to make out anything in the darkness, Cole stands ready to respond should anything happen. Meanwhile the zombies lurch closer. Peering into the grey area almost at the limit of his dark vision, Tibold can just make out another Zombie. "Really, we don't have all day. Or were you planning on stopping at the market before being slain?"Then, Tibold glances towards Cole and says "Turtle Zombie's about a horse-length away. Shouldn't be much to deal with, though." Much to Tibold’s surprise, this zombie mutters something along the lines of “what’s wrong with retail therapy, it’s not only for the living you know” as it continues to lurch closer.
Thromkor lowers the head of his ebony staff and rubs his free hand along on top of the orb. Uttering a few words in Draconic, he looks at the third Zombie and a four foot diameter replica of the orb appears beside it, floating in the air and shimmering slightly. Thromkor points at the zombie and the orb zips towards the Zombie. The giant bowling ball glances of the Zombie’s shoulder, doing no damage, as it attempts to duck underneat. Still regretting the darkness lingering on the edges of the battle, Thromkor grumbles, "If I could only figure out that light spell."
Gotrek runs towards the northern side of the third Zombie, staying well clear of the bowling ball and using the momentum of his run recklessly swings his Great-Axe at the Zombie. The massive blow from his axe (27 points of slashing damage) sheers the Zombie in half and it collapse in two parts. Gotrek promptly looks for a new target and moves towards the fourth and fifth Zombies emerging from the depths of the crypt.
Still unable to see anything in the darkness, Cole lights a torch and holding it up realizes that there are three more Zombies closing in on the party. Two of the Zombies reach Gotrek’s position and swing their club like fists at him. Gotrek doesn’t even have to duck or sway out of their way!

Eyeing the zombie coming up from the southwest, Thromkor points at his spiritual weapon and then points at the zombie. As it moves to attack, Thromkor lifts his ebony staff into the air with both hands and speaks a few words in Draconic. The staff's orb flashes and a frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward the zombie as well.
Gotrek laughs as he is cutting through the zombies, "This reminds me of when I was young and used to help the village butcher, only it smells much worse!" Then with a manic grin on his face, makes a big swing at Z4 with his Great-Axe. (Reckless)
Attack: 21 Damage: 37
If Z4 dies from the last hit, Gotrek will pivot and make another wild swing but at Z5
Attack: 21 Damage: 25
If Z4 is still alive, he will follow up the axe swing a knee to the gut
Tibold whistles in surprise at the sixth Zombie's apparent wit. "If you were near as fast on your feet as with your tongue, maybe we'd be scared,"he remarks. The sixth Zombie tries to poke its tongue out at Tibold but it was obviously only held be a small of flesh because it falls off and falls to the floor as it takes 4 points of psychic damage from Tibold’s mockery.
Eyeing the sixth zombie coming up from the southwest, Thromkor points at his spiritual weapon and then points at the zombie. The giant bowling ball smacks into the Zombie, almost knocking it off its feet, for 12 points of force damage. He then lifts ebony staff into the air with both hands and speaks a few words in Draconic. The staff's orb flashes and a frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward the zombie as well doing 2 points of cold damage.
Gotrek laughs as he is cutting through the zombies, "This reminds me of when I was young and used to help the village butcher, only it smells much worse!"Then with a manic grin on his face, he recklessly swings at the fourth Zombie with his Great-Axe doing 19 points of slashing damage. The axe blow cleaves the zombie open from the crest of its head to the middle of its chest and the damage is so great that it is unable to get up. Gotreks pulls his axe free with some difficulty and takes another reckless swing at the fifth Zombie hitting it for 37 points of slashing damage. Unlike the blow on the fourth Zombie this one bisects the Zombie for its entire vertical length starting from the groin to the top of its head and Gotrek is now covered in bits of dessicated flesh, the odd intestine and ligament from the two zombies he has just sliced and diced.
Cole closes on the sixth zombie which distracted because it had just stepped on its tongue doesn’t see him coming and with two lighting fast hand strikes, Cole does a total of 17 points of bludgeoning damage collapsing the Zombie to the ground, but almost as soon as it hits the ground it stands up again and lurches forward to unsuccessfully attack him.

A slight look of confidence on his face, Thromkor again points at his spiritual weapon and then points at the zombie. As it attacks again, Thromkor lifts his ebony staff into the air with both hands and speaks a few words in Draconic. The staff's orb flashes and a frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward the zombie as well.
"Gross," TIbold mutters, surveying the carnage. "Your father was a hamster and...er, I don't know," Tibold tells the sixth Zombie. "You're so dead, I don't have anything to work with!" he complains, throwing up his hands in exasperation. The Zombie collapses on the floor holding its head as if the pain from its few neurons incorrectly synapsing as it tries to understand Tibold’s insult is too much for it. Proving that Zombies are controlled by their medulla oblongata rather than any other higher order part of their brain, the Zombie lurches to its feet and continues to flail its arms at Cole. With increasing confidence, following his successful attack last time, Thromkor again points at his spiritual weapon and then points at the sixth Zombie. The giant bowling ball smashes into the Zombie like a wrecking ball destroying a building and blasts the Zombie from its feet doing 7 points of force damage. However, yet again it lurches to its feet and continues to flail at Cole.
Thromkor lifts his ebony staff into the air with both hands and speaks a few words in Draconic. The staff's orb flashes and a frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward the zombie as well doing 8 points of cold damage which knocks it over; this time it doesn’t get up!
