OOC: NATHAN, I have a far greater appreciation on what you do in this space! But wow, I had a blast doing this and playing away, I was getting better and better towards the end finding and learning ways that worked. I still made obvious mistakes, example not sure how to do critical scores using the dice roller for one. I think I got things right while using the "loaned" Giant Slayer Longsword that had DC save associated to it. The last round of fighting I am really happy with and found I was started to get the hang of using the dice roller while keeping to a make sense template. Two items found I used a treasure generator they a luck stone and bag of holding - nothing nefarious about those but I hope you don't have an issue. I think you'll agree to the story line and where I have left things should be still in line with your overall game story. My intent was to make level four and gosh did it take some time!!The giant slayer sword was my idea to try and help out against the Ettins... but it needs to go back sometime, Soma is in desperate need of a decent weapon though! Also, as you continue to inspire me, my eventual plan is to do my own PbP using one of the starter kits. I hope to get to that learning point before the end of the year. So I hope you will keep taking me under your wing 'Master Nathan' and keep pushing and playing with me as your student!?! Ohh and lastly, Ross and Igor rock they made level 4 to don't forget to level them up.

Sure. Giant Slayer is good but at this level a +1 magic sword might be a little better. I've leveled up your NPCs and I like the idea of helping you run a PvP, sound fun. I can point you to some resources.
Not far from the Orc camp, you spot some ruins. Igor says, "These ruins have been buried for years, maybe due to an earth quake. I say we camp the night in the ruins."
After securing the door to the ruins, you have time to search deeper into the ruins and you find a small study. It looks like a wizard's laboratory, with all manner of magic scrolls next to tomes of mold and rot. The magic held inside the scrolls allowed them to last the ravages of time.
Ross finds some intact writing and reads aloud, "The journal of Eldrin Sorrowsworn... Unreadable script... Here we go, the experiments were a success. I owe all my research to my Patron Viridion, my mentor and my friend... And a bunch of more writing about golems and portals."
Igor uncovers an Iron Golem and finds portals a deactivated teleportation circle.
"Igor, so this wizard was being trained by a Dragon?"
Bran has grown to trust Igor's judgement so the idea to camp in the ruins makes some sense as they can use the ruins to their advantage if anyone attacks them.
While there, looking around the ruins and finding a small study all three realises its a laboratory! And while searching and finding a tome that has a particular name associated to it and upon hearing the name 'Viridion' all three take notice!!!
Soma senses they are on the right track and wishes to explore further!

Searching through the lab, you see evidence of raids and theft everywhere.
Ross speaks up, having time to piece together his knowledge of history with the evidence found here. "My study of history recalls an ancient hero, from 300 years ago, before Vesper was made a kingdom. Thalion was the name. A man raised by elves who became a champion, then disappeared. There were so many stories of Thalion taming monsters, flying, shooting powerful magic, commanding the elements.
Igor recalls, "i heard he was an elf wizard obsessed with commanding demons. He would travel the abyss and one day never returned."
As you discuss the details of history and search through the lab you can make history DC 10, 15, 20 to recall this wizard Thalion.
You find mention of several artifacts in Eldrin's journal. Some are familiar.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

While looking throughout the lab the Company makes sure they collate and place any specific evidence (if applicable) into Brans bag of holding.
Brans explains, "Whoever he is! It seems to me he's important to understand, the mention of these specific items are also important, some could be very helpful for us too in locating and bringing Viridion to justice!".

Is there more to this? Do Dragons take on their own disciples? And is this the case here? And ascertaining do we have a dragon cult here?

Soma knows that he is far enough away from the Human Kingdom of Vesper, past the Darkwoods, now into the start of the Wilds. He knows of five Dragon Lords and Viridion is one of them. The other four Dragon Lords do have kobold followers, cultists, and tribes of monsters, and champions. However, Viridion seems different, having dryads and pixies in her ranks. From stories of dragon lords, when one dies, another is born of the land, creating a guardian or champion, so the stories say. And the memories and essence of the previous Dragon Spirit remain and can never die. All five dragon lords are ancient dragons, Viridion is by far the oldest of them all.
After spending time in the lab and finding several tomes? And coming to understand who and what Viridion is and several other histories, Soma is now seeks direction from the investigators on where we should concrete efforts.

You find some ruined tomes and mention of magical tomes in a partial journal of Eldrin. You also think that Eldrin might be the same historical figure as Thalion.
When you rest for the night and leave the underground ruins, you catch sight and hear some goblins, wearing skins and colors that you don't recognize from previous interactions.
