After Urselles points out the fleeing fisherman, Shalech magically pursues him. After moment the man slows, starts to walk, and then turns towards you. You both stand in the center of the intersection, about two blocks from everyone else.
"Why are you chasing me?". He asks, deeply winded. His hair is kept enough to be presentable, but not necessarily clean; the same could be said about his clothes, which reek of fish. You also notice that this man is missing a finger on his right hand.

Shalech replies, "I'm chasing because you're running. You wouldn't happen to be keeping your possessions in a crate in the attic of that house, would you? This will go much easier if you do this peacefully. The others are surely just behind me."
"I'm running because the lot of you just came out of the haunted house. Your ghost right? Don't hurt me!" He backs away in fear. (Make an Insight Check)
Thinking of a way to catch a lie, Shalech offers, "Let me walk you home. If your home is not going past the haunted house, we'll have some more questions."
Shalech continues to press to make the man falter if he's guilty, "Home, work, mistress... doesn't matter. I will accompany you. I know what direction you came from and I know where the haunted house is. I hope for you it makes sense to pass by a haunted house to get to where you're going.
Name is Shalech by the way. What is yours? You wouldn't happen to be called Nine Fingers or something like that?"
"They call me Nine Finger John, yes. I was heading to the river for some night fishing, if you must know. So... Your not a ghost are you? What were you doing in the haunted house?" His tone changes from fearful to accusatory. (Shalech, make an insight check.)
(You can tell that though fishing may be his plan eventually this night; that's not where he was going.)
"Well then I'll be on my way. Unless you want to stop by The Clansman and buy me a drink for scaring me half to death." He begins to walk around you, but not too close, and heads towards to tavern.

"Sorry, but I don't pay ridiculous prices for bad drinks served in filthy mugs." Shalech shrugs.
"While you're here, any chance you may be able to help me? We found a stash of jewelry in that haunted house and would like to return them to their owners. Know of anyone that had jewelry go missing?" Shalech is mostly interested in his reaction.
