Zaerra looks quickly at Yakeek and a frightening look flits across her face before she schools her expression.
"This is not happening in my watch... again", she says as she steps around the corner and lets loose a fire bolt at the first foe she lays eyes on before stepping back around the corner.
"Perhaps we should minimize the amount of unnecessary risks to our health. As...." He thinks for a second "... Fragile as we are. Allow me to throw the next spell around the corner."
Casting blade ward on himself (resistance to b/s/p damage until end of next turn) he will prepare to step out and loose another firebolt (next turn).
Bringing up the rear means the front line is a long way ahead. Susk will move forward to engage, backing up Rask when she heads in, throwing a dagger as he get closer.

(assuming Rask is charging forward, swinging her maul at the first target with Susk behind)
This cavern, like the passage leading to it, is well lit by torches held in simple iron brackets around the walls. You can see five small bolts of cloth stacked against the wall to your left, and to your right are eight small casks in a neat row. A hobgoblin in chainmail with a shield at his feet is fitting a new arrow to his bow. There are three more crew members, each with the red scarf. There is also a tall man with a shaved head and piercing green eyes who looks surprised at the party's frontal assault.
"You fools!" he screams, as pulls out a wand to start casting.
Zaerra'sfire bolt strikes the armoured hobgoblin as he brings his bow around and the bolt strikes him in the chest. It doesn't kill him but before he can roar with pain, Susk's dagger catches him in the throat and he falls to the ground, dead.
Yakeerk moves forward, firing his bow at the spellcaster.
Yga's shot is on target but the spellcaster holds up his arms and the bolt ricochettes off his bracers, bruising and numbing his arm but not much else.
Rask runs into the cavern, ready to start swinging. Seeing that one of the hobgoblins is dead she turns her attention to one of the other three crew members. She takes aim and attacks one of them.
Rask's blow dashes one of Sanbalet's men to the ground, but he was already rolling with the blow. Still, by the look on his face she at least broke or cracked a few of his ribs. He staggers to his feet, clutching his side with a look of pain, leaving the crossbow on the floor and draws a scimitar. He looks like he knows how to use it.
Yga uses her last spell slot to cast a cure wounds on Yakeerk. Roll of 7 hp healing.

Longbow Attack: 19 Damage: 10.
Zaerra heard the commotion from around the corner. She begins casting as spell.
She will cast mage armour on her self and the step around the corner for her next turn.
Yakeerk's arrow catches the spellcaster in the shoulder, making him fumble his wand. He pulls out the arrow with a gout of blood.
Ok after everyone has had a turn (I think only Rask needs to take an action) someone can roll for initiative - this will be the party's initiative.
The smugglers' initiative is 11
Yga brings out her crossbow and lets fly, also at the spellcaster.
Attack: 13 Damage: 1
Yga's shot is on target but the spellcaster holds up his arms and the bolt ricochettes off his bracers, bruising and numbing his arm but not much else.
The enemy spellcaster
Finally seeing the face behind the voice, Susk says to his companions "That is Sanbalet, their captain. Lets see how long the rest stay if he falls"
Rask runs into the cavern, ready to start swinging. Seeing that one of the hobgoblins is dead she turns her attention to one of the other three crew members. She takes aim and attacks one of them.
Attack: 22 Damage: 8 Bludgeoning

Initiative roll : 11
Yakeerk quickly draws another arrow and fires at Sanbalet the spellcaster, hoping to get him before he can cast a damaging spell.
Attack: 7 Damage: 10
The arrow catches Sanbalet in the hip, but he's still standing. He is bloodied now.
Irob will step out from the corner and approach to 30ft from the leader (if he is not already within range) and cast witch bolt.
16 to hit for 11 damage
Rask will strike again at the crew member (the one with the scimitar).
Attack: 23. Damage: 15 bludgeoning
Irob's force lightning.. err.. I mean.. witch bolt.. drains Sanbalet of his life essence and he withers before you, a burnt husk.
