As you check the top of the tower it looks like you could free the light crossbows from the tower mounts if you wanted to. You also find 20 bolts in the small room. In the corner are 3 flasks of alchemist fire.
Keyleth will take the two crossbows and the bolts, as well as the three flasks. She heads back down the stairs and offers up one of the crossbows and 5 of the bolts to Radagast, and her shortbow and 14 arrows to Faen, keeping the other crossbow and 15 bolts for herself. "Here, in case you find yourself in a situation where a mundane projectile may be more effective than a magical one. I also found these," she adds, showing the group the flasks. "Not really my style as a weapon, though last I checked these could fetch a decent bit of gold. Once we get back to town I'll sell them and share the proceeds with you all." Looking over at the goggles Faen is holding, she says, "Those goggles look interesting..."
"Alright, well, having removed the threat from above, should we go see about that bridge? Or would you rather try the other side? From what we saw outside, I'm guessing the other way also takes us south across a bridge, the bridge on that side may be intact."
“Wow. Thank you, but isn’t this your bow?” Faen says as she accepts Keyleth’s offering. “And yeah I’m a bit curious if these might be magic. I don’t really want to waste a spell though.”
OoC: Can Faen try to look through the googles without fully putting them on?
Keyleth shrugs. "It's just a bow I bought. No particular sentimental value. I have an upgrade now. Besides, our lives are dependent on each other now... No sense in me carrying it around if someone else could be making use of it."
OoC: IIRC, you can identify magic items without magic during a short rest, then if attunement is needed, whoever is going to use it can attune at the next rest. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Also, identify can be cast as a ritual, which doesn't use a spell slot (but takes an extra 10 minutes beyond the stated casting time).
OoC: Faen doesn’t know identify but she knows detect magic, which I think costs a spell slot. I’ve never heard of the short rest thing. What does the DM say?
OoC: Ah, gotcha. Detect magic can also be cast as a ritual, if you have it prepared. Since the normal casting time is 1 action, casting as a ritual would take 10 minutes (and 6 seconds, technically). But that will only tell you whether the goggles are magic, and if so what school the magic comes from, not what they actually do. The short rest identification thing is supposedly in the DMG on p. 136, according to this page, though I don't actually have the DMG to confirm directly. I only know about that from watching some roll20 D&D streams where they do that. I don't know whether Radagast might know identify (his character sheet only shows prepared spells, not known spells); wizards can cast rituals without having them prepared. If so, the next chance we have for a short rest, it might make sense for us to take an extra 10 minutes ahead of the rest for him to cast identify, then, if they are magic and require attunement, decide who's going to use them (my money's on darkvision, which would suggest Kirinar or Radagast, although not sure why a kobold would need that), then that person can attune during the rest.
"I bet the goggles improved the goblins sight, so he could be a better lookout. Like a seeing lens, but smaller, maybe? I bet you magic-types will figure it out later. For now, let's keep moving. I'm good with checking the bridge to the east to see if it will keep us out of the crocodile-infested waters!"
Keyleth moves to the east door and takes a look outside.
A mostly intact gazebo perches seemingly on the very surface of the water, forming a picturesque gateway to a long, narrow bridge that spans the lake. At the end of the bridge a matching gazebo stands watch over a larger building that rises from the lake, its sculpted walls and arches draped with vines.
"One second." Kirinar will pull out his light crossbow, load it, and then follow the others out. He will try to move quietly, but will follow a short distance behind just in case his heavier armor gives them away...
Keyleth leads the group across the bridge to the southern gazebo, the only sound the clanging of Ransyl's chainmail. As the group is walking across the bridge she turns around to glare at Ransyl, her expression seeming to say, "can u not"
OoC: Btw, @Merbakin_Sarkmen, for inventory bookkeeping purposes, did Radagast take the crossbow and bolts?

Yes you can. You might not learn everything about it but you might get an idea of what it can do or is used for. You can also spend a short rest studying it to learn its properties and then you would know everything about it.
If you want to try them out before you set out across the bridge I'll allow it since i didn't answer right away.
The party sets out across the bridge leaving the first gazebo behind. As you cross the bridge you glance down at the water below and occasionally see a crocodile floating in the water. The bridge spans 100 feet to the next gazebo at the end of the bridge. As you approach you see what would have been an open gazebo structure has been repurposed and fitted with heavy drapes to keep out the sun.
You are now about halfway across the bridge and 50 feet from the gazebo when a stone from a sling whizzes by overhead. Kobolds on guard in the gazebo have spotted you. You see 3 kobold's peaking out of the drapes Another stronger kobold is behind them. It looks like the type from the barricade earlier.
The bridge is 10 feet wide. The kobold's have half cover at this time.

Keyleth nods, and heads toward the eastern door, moving cautiously and keeping an eye out for possible traps.
