Kirinar whispers to the group, "OK. Why don't you elves take a quick shot at those kobolds. When they come I'll drop this torch and we'll take care of them up close and personal. I can't see as well in the dark, so need to stick by the light. Ready?"
Keyleth gestures toward the group trying to catch Ransyl or Faen's eye to alert them of the creature(s) behind the door (figuring the two humans can't see her).
She probably can't hear Kirinar whispering from this distance, but she positions herself outside the door, holding a dagger and ready to strike at whatever comes out.
As Faen pulls her attention away from the markings on the columns to respond to Kirinar, she catches Keyleth’s gesture out of the corner of her eye and gives Kirinar a signal to the effect of “Wait a moment. I’m going over there for a second.” and kinda invites Ransyl to come along before quietly making her way to join Keyleth.
After seeing designs on the buildings and columns you realize that this place is an ancient yuan-ti monastery. Yuan-ti are devious serpent folk devoid of compassion. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.

Anyone who wishes to move to where Keyleth is must make a stealth roll or risk alerting the kobold's to your presence.
Keyleth holds up a hand motioning for Faen to stay back, so the kobolds don't notice them. If nothing seems to be on its way out the door after a few moments, she will start to make her way back toward the group so they can coordinate tactics.
Since whatever is behind the door does not seem to be on its way through, Keyleth slinks back over to the group, where Kirinar repeats his suggestion. "I agree," she whispers. "We should take our tactical advantage while we can get it. Even if we could get past them and down the stairs, they'd likely follow us and we'd have to deal with them sooner or later." She then shares what she could see and hear from her position near the door. "My suggestion would be that each of us who can attack at range take a different kobold. If they're like the ones in the last room, it shouldn't take more than one solid hit on each one. If we're lucky we can come close to ending this fight before it starts. Radagast, if you can't see them well enough where they are to aim, you might hold your attack until they're in the torchlight, as Kirinar suggested. Or one of you could go try to pull down some of those drapes to let some more light in here once we get the first volleys off... Do we agree?"(OoC: Are the drapes at a height that is reachable?)
If the group agrees, Keyleth will get her shortbow back out and take aim at one of the kobolds at the table.

"Once those four are down, we can let some more light in here. Ready? OK then, let's do this!"
Kirinar will hold the torch out of the way until he hears the kobolds come over, in the hope that maybe his companions could get two shots off. But he will not wait long if they react quickly...He grips his shield tighter and prepares to defend his nearby allies if it comes to it.
OoC: DM, assuming the rest of the group is ok with this plan (since it's basically Kirinar's plan as posted yesterday, I'm assuming they are?), how do you want to handle surprise attacks? Do you want to roll initiative first and go through the formal surprise rules? Should we just go ahead and post attacks in any order? Or maybe that's pretty much the same thing since it seems like all of the kobolds are unaware of us... I assume the first set of attack rolls will be made at advantage since we're currently unseen.
She pulls her hand back and listens closely to see if she can identify the noise.

You here what sounds like a small creature approaching the door.
Religion: 22
OoC: My first two natural 20s and in a row!

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?

OoC: Oh jeez. I just saw this. Betting no chance I can take that back.
Fortunately for you your stealth is such that the kobolds do not notice your movement. Do with it as you please.

Ransyl
“I’m good with the plan. My greataxe is ready for more.”
Faen gives a nod of acknowledgement and readies herself for the impending attack.
Everyone roll a stealth check. You can also roll your attack, no advantage.
Combat will be in this order.
Keyleth (9/9), Radagast (5/8), Kobold2 (?), Ransyl (13/13), Faen (10/10), Kobold3 (?), Kobold4 (?), Kirinar (11/12), ? (?), Kobold1 (?)
