The books and notes scattered around the room are basic texts on alchemy. Among the books is a tome written in Dwarvish. It seems to you larno is trying to master the art of brewing potions and concocting alchemical mixtures.
Any character proficient in Arcana can see that larno's apparatus appears to be set up to brew potions of invisibility—not that he has succeeded so far.
There's really nothing more in this room to find. Morpetor killed it with that skill check. there is a door to the south leading out into a hallway with another door to the south. According to the map Sen made for you all, there is another room through that door. But he also warned of Redbrand reinforcements and bugbears in here.
Entering the room, Yuri pauses while the others search. Closing his eyes, he allows himself a moment of respite. Opening his eyes, he feels a weight in his muscles and a tiredness in his bones.
Remembering Sen's warning, and not feeling up to a fight with a number of bugbears, he lowers his voice, whispering to the others, "Do we clear the place out? Or do we depart? Iarno is out there. I'd like to catch up with him before overlong."
"I am of the opinion that Iarno is the greater threat. We should be looking at the head of the snake, and any resistance here will only delay us achieving the greater goal. If there is nothing more we are likely to learn, then let us make haste onto Iarno's trail."
"That sounds as good a place to start as any... Though I somehow doubt he went to see Sildar if Iarno didn't want us to find him. Let's just hope someone around town saw him!" Pausing a moment then addressing the group as a whole, "I had little time to spend in Phandalin before I met Sildar and then came straight here. Can you fill me in on where you've been, and what Phandalin has to offer?"
As you approach the city, the sun is beginning to rise over the horizon. The streets are beginning to fill with hustle and bustle of the days workers. Most of the shops have flipped their signs and are open for business.
If anyone wanted to snag manacles on their way out of the manor, you are able to. 3 pairs in total.
As the group head into town, Yuri tries to fill Vah'Lhorn in on the many amenities within Phandalin. Umm there's two shops, one for weapons and one for general goods. A priestess in the square. An inn, a public house.
This conversation would surely be more normal, if Yuri were not donning a heavy set of manacles at the same time, ready to enact Kim's plan.
OOC I think we'd be getting ready on the walk into town? Maybe Yuri and Gramgran in the middle of the group, "manacled" with others in Redbrand cloaks around the outside of them.
((I'd suggest that Vah'Lhorn be separate from the group - Being a tiefling he would be fairly memorable in a small place like Phandalin, so maybe remembered as a Redbrand, or for his brief association with Sildar. I'm happy to 'follow at a discreet distance' or operate towards a separate goal like finding Sildar, whilst we enact Kim's plan. If the race thing isn't perceived to be an issue, then I'll don my cloak, pull up the hood, and yuck my tail.))
Morpetor will inspect the room for books that may contain spells or history.

Kimberly will walk up to it and see if she can take some notes of his writing. If nothing else to know what doesn't work.

“Agreed, with the known threat, maybe it is best to track down Larno and learn more about the whereabouts of our benefactor.”
Gramgran will follow the group’s lead on this. Whichever way they go, she’ll make sure they stay alive.

"So we met Iarno a little way down the path back to town."
Pointing, Yuri turns and begins to follow the path that he and Gramgran damn near sprinted up on their return to the manor.
"We pointed him towards the inn to speak with Sildar, so best bet might be to try there. Might be he took a room for the night."
"That sounds as good a place to start as any... Though I somehow doubt he went to see Sildar if Iarno didn't want us to find him. Let's just hope someone around town saw him!" Vah'Lhorn will follow the lead of the others in town, though would like to find Sildar as swiftly as possible

Kim would have grabbed the manacles.

Is Kim wanting to try her plan out or just try to find Iarno at this point?

OOC- Yes Kim would have wanted to try out the plan first because she wouldn't want to risk Iarno seeing them, then not being able to use the idea.

Gramgran and Yuri are cuffed, most likely uncomfortably. Kim, Morpetor and Van'Lhorn don Redbrand garb and enter the town attempting to find Iarno.
Who are you trying to find and where?
(I'd say Van'Lhorn is alright to hide his appearance)
