Amdaeng immediately feels terrible for killing someones pet.......people she's not overly bothered about killing as long as they deserve it....but she'd rather not do so....
With his superior darkvision, Vydar likely notices the collar's before Lev. Though he's slow to say anything about it. Those explain the beast's unusual behavior. He wonder's if they are just trained like dogs, or if those bands hold some power over them. He'll have to check them out when the fight ends.
Raising a hand, he casts Magic missile targeting the closest wolf.

Her eyes shoot to Lev, " The one that howled. The one controlling them knows they've found something......if its a scent from the crate....who do we think is on their way?"
Glancing around and seeing just how quickly this group is taking out the wolves impresses Zarbyn. He can't help but wonder why one of them decided to sniff around the crates and ignore the elves. Maybe it felt confident enough that more of it's pack would soon be joining it, either that or it's more concerned with finding something. Something that Professor Storm was... (ooc: the wolf howls) and there it goes, either signaling the pack it's found food or signaling that it found something else.
"Get ready! More visitors are probably on the way!"

Glancing at the wolf on the crate, you note the metal collar on its neck. Your warlock training allows you to deduce that it is likely magical in nature. In the fire, its eyes appear to be red in color.
Paevira will go for the one on top of the crate striking first with her whip and the her rapier in a move she had been working on in her mind during meditation
Whip misses with a 5 but served t9 distract the wolf for the rapier thrust 22 for 7 dmg.
She will need some more practice with the whip, but she is liking the possibilities.
The wolf jumps from the crate, as the whip snaps in the air where it just was.
But it jumps toward the sharp blade, which impales it in the shoulder. It is hurt but still up, glaring viciously at Paevira. It too wears a metal collar.

Amdaeng
Using her insight, Amdaeng senses that something is not right with the wolves, they are acting quite strangely. Something is wrong with their "fighting spirit."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Amdaeng ran across and leapt onto the back of the wolf facing Paevira striking it twice on the side of the neck to try and interrupt blood-flow and knock it unconscious.
Seeing that Amdaeng had her wolf covered, Iólinder pivoted and took aim at the one attacking Paevira. Once more with swiftness he quickly loaded up another bolt to shoot it, should the first bolt not take it down.
Action: shooting wolf Attack roll: 11 Damage roll: 3
Bonus action: war priest additional attack (targeting a different wolf should the first attack take it down) Attack roll: 12 Damage roll: 8
The injured wolf on Lev goes down with the two bolts (Combat over).
The wolf next to Aemdaeng and Paevira is unconscious, knocked out by a strange technique Aemdaeng employed.
As Lev stands beside the dead wolf, he notes the wolf's collar.
It is a 1/2-inch thick metal chain link band. It seems to have a slight sheen or glow, but as the life leaves the wolf’s red eyes the collar pops off. The inside of the collar has spikes, which undoubtedly push into the animal's neck, causing pain. As you look at the collar, it turns a dull black color. Whatever magic was in it has been dissipated with the animal's death. The same occurs with the other 3 dead wolves.

Noticing the collar on the wolf Zarbyn glances around at the others near any other wolves.
"Do they all have collars like this one?"
Zarbyn looks a little closer at the nearest inert collar next to him, even taking a lighter stick of firewood and poking at it.
Perception: 18
"And what was with the one sniffing at the crates? Was it signaling for reinforcements or letting someone know it found something?"
After asking the last question he begins watching their perimeter as far as he can see by the campfire.
"Should we wait and prepare, or move our campsite?"

The night is again quiet and still. You hear nothing out of the ordinary. One wolf lies unconscious at the base of the cart. Its collar is still attached. The others are all dead, their collars detached and dull in the light of the moon.
The collar seems to be magical in nature, and is held together by some sort of magic bond. You see no way of unlocking it through nonmagical means. The inside has spikes, which clearly can tighten and inflict pain on the wolf, as evidenced by blood under the collar at the spikes. It seems the collar cannot be removed while the creature lives, and when it dies, it loses its hold and tarnishes. The dead wolves have regular-colored eyes (black, brown, etc.).

"Collars," Lev huffs, pointing his glaive towards the oncoming wolf. "Someone's letting their pets run on too long a leash."
Paevira, hearing of the collars will say, “ if they have owners, maybe they are not alone, we might be having further company tonight…”

Three wolves lie dead.
One very injured wolf, 5 feet from Lev, 30 feet from the campfire,
And a wolf on top of the crate, near campfire and tents. It howls one mournful howl, seeing most of its pack down.
