"Well, it bloomed 10 days ago. At the start of the new moon is when it sprouted. Someone more familiar with magic and lore could know a good reason or have tracked other such occurrences."
Another leaf creature steps forward, stroking a leafy beard. "I have heard the petals of this plant have been used to induce hallucinations, create a powerful poison base, heighten magical potency, grant visions of the future, used to resurrect a dead person and create items you would call artifacts. The petals could even be used to fuel dark magic rituals, especially during a full moon when the lotus is at the height of its power."
Amdaeng is immediately struck with a number of thoughts regarding the release of ancient evil forces that may have impacted magical flora and its growth.....but she instead begins scouting for the best looking roses......something about the leaf-things creeps her out.
Jharek finds the leaf size creatures interesting. He’s never seen figures of their size, but finds their protection of the Lotus impressive, in an odd way. Clearly a valuable flower, by the way they can read activity in another city based on its bloom. He listens to the conversation and hopes to learn about the small people and the Lotus both. He remains silent, not wanting to interject while Zarbyn communicates with them.
