Morric doesnt like the nasty rat-goblin bite with its foul saliva staining his old, hand-me-down chainmail. On his next turn, he is going to thrust goblin eater into its stomach.
attack: 25 to hit, dmg 16. If that doesnt drop him, he will pull it out and action surge thrust it in again with a twisting motion
attack: 24 to hit, dmg 14
then he will use 2nd wind to get back some hp so he doesnt die.
After calling out the nearly hidden goblin wizard, Vydar had planned to attack it with his own magic and hopefully disrupt whatever spell it was casting. However, seeing Iolinder brutally attacked by the rat creature in front of him, he decides it may be best to deal with this threat first. Gripping the hilt of his new rapier, he feels his magic pulsing through himself and his sword. (Bladesong activated)
Then he moves up to the disgusting creature and strikes at it with his blade.
Iólinder felt a surge of adrenaline when his bolt of magic hit the rat ogre. He felt like Telak himself was at his side guiding his bolt to strike the rat ogre right where it was most vulnerable. Though that feeling faded quickly when he spotted to his right another rat ogre up close. Dangerously up close. Iólinder only barely managed to bring up his shield to keep it from biting him in the shoulder. Unfortunately that left his side open and the creature sliced into his flesh with a bladed claw. Iólinder hissed in pain. On the plus side, it meant the creature was now within his striking distance. He would throw another bolt of divine energy but feared that the creature would slice off his arm should he raise it. Instead Iólinder mentally directed his spirit blade to strike from the back to give him the opening to quickly recite a spell.
At the word/goblin battle, the good guys have some luck
Lev slashes with his glaive, significantly injuring the worg that knocked him down.
Zarbyn in a moment of psychic brilliance obliterates the injured worg next to him.
Seeing the worg fall, Lira changes targets and from 10 feet away, her sharp whip cracks, finishing off the beast on Lev. Leaving only the worg on Za'chak.
Two riders try to land on their feet as their mounts fall. Dex save 10: Both of them land on their feet, now, seeing a bit outnumbered and outclassed.
Za'chak strikes with his huge weapon, knocking the worg back 10 feet, and hitting it for 12 bludgeoning damage.
Then the worg moves forward to re-engage with Za'chak, but the big man anticipates and blocks its bite. The goblin seated on top get a slash in for 4 damage.
The goblin facing Lev attacks him with his little scimitar but misses badly.
The goblin facing Zarbyn also misses, fear in his eyes as he saw his mount go down.
Back in the not so peaceful glade, Morric takes two mighty swings on the slow moving rat demon thing. Chunks of flesh fly off it it. It is severely wounded, but it seems completely mad and almost immune to it pain or pending demise (HP: 3/59)
Vydar and Iólinder team up against the grizzly beast. Vydar's new rapier strikes true, impairing the hardened skin of the creature. Iólinder's magic floating sword continues it work, taking another chunk out of the thing while glowing radiance flows out of the man, burning the things fur and skin (36/59hp).
Strangely, it seems to not really be affected by its wounds. As if compelled by something, it stops fighting to two men and advances forward to the water, growling and screaming noises as it roars.
Iólinder and Vydar get Opportunity attacks:
The maddened creature, dripping entrails attacks Morric again, (22 to hit, 15 damage). Then it bites him as he falls, (20 to hit, 11 damage, I have Morric at zero now?)
The one wadding through the water dies, sinking beneath the surface.
----->Amdaeng, Rats, PC's and Baatar, 2 rat ogres, one near Morric 3hp, one in water, 36/59 before opportunity attacks).
Morric was surprised at the rat-goblins tenacity and power even after the skewering he laid upon it. He tried desperately to keep smiling as consciousness leaves him and he slumps to the ground in heap. Humming a dwarven song he had always liked until the darkness took him.
Zarbyn almost feels sorry for the little goblin looking up at him with fear in it's eyes but he decides to stab at it with his blades anyway.
Shadowblade: 11+3=14 to hit for 13 psychic damage.
Dagger: 18+3=21 to hit for 1 damage.

Amdaeng is able to kill some of tiny vermin but they continue biting and tearing at her and Baatar.
She is able to fend them off from damaging her. Baatar sustains a few bites but is also able to kill a few more of the rats. (Swarm of rats has damage resistance, 16/27hp)
Off to the left, the interesting newcomer Morric, the man in chain mail falls as the rat-ogre (1) tears into him. The beast looks close to death itself, the man's greatsword did its worst to it.

Lev misses the little guy, his glave going over its head. It then swings at him but his little sword is out of range.
Goblin (5) tries to spot Lira but cant see her in the snow bank. He pulls his bow and shots at Za'chak but his footing isn't stable in the snow and he misses by a wide margin.

"We need to take out that caster." He growls, I have a feeling it's controlling these things. (I can't see the caster on Owlbear, buy Vydar is going to move towards it. He can move 50ft with bladesong activated)
Once he's in range, he casts Witch Bolt on the mage at 2nd level. (Range is 30ft, if this is not enough range he will dash and then cast this next round.)
As the huge rat moves past Vydar, he takes a swing with his rapier but its much better at poking into something than cutting. The blade glances off its armor as it moves forward, ignoring both Vydar and Iólinder and not seeming to feel pain. As he advances forward, he able to pick out the caster again. It is a small goblin, who seems to be concentrating on a spell. Vydars knows he needs to move all the way to the path ahead to get a good shot off, and this pays off. He casts his spell, and the magical energy flies to the caster, hitting them full in the chest. The caster is able to keep concentrating on his spell. The goblin looks at Vydar with disdain. He raises his staff and a magical bolt of black energy flies at Vydar but misses him by a few inches.
The very injured Rat-ogre (1) moves forward and is slowed by the water. It will be across soon.
Rat-ogre(2) enters the central area and approaches the (pink) tree in the center. It attacks it viciously. Its sharp claws and sword-like objects tear into the bark (13 damage).
Baatar shouts: "We must save the tree!"
A bright light leaves the central tree, traveling toward Morric. Those on shore see the dryad (part of the tree itself) that they had noticed in the central hall, holding the leader, Inauniq in their initial meeting in a chairlike tree structure. Morric is healed (healing word: 11)
