Almost on cue with Gothazar's claim, the tree fills with the sound of splintering wood, and crumbling rock. Leif and Gothazar's ladder runs break, and the violent shaking if the tree send Asgrim and Eidren tumbling down the ladder chute.
Asgirm takes hold of the ladder and puts his foot on a rung with a series of curses even though he's thankful for Gothazar's help; looking down at his tow fallen companions. After another series of curses, "You two okay down there?"
As they make it to the exit, the floor starts to fall beneath them. They jump, and hold into the ledge. Leif and Eidren grab them, and pull them up. You all take a minute to breath. While you look around, you see a pile of stone, dirt, and tree bark where the mighty tree used to stand.
"I agree we should move on, but let's take a moment to rest, my friend," Asgrim says, his wide. He's been in many battles before, faced down legions iron-clad foreigners with his teeth bared but having been nearly crushed by a giant tree had shaken him, the adrenaline coursing through his body is enough to leave his hands shaking, and although he's very used to the feeling, there's just something wrong about dying underneath tons of rubble. But, he wasn't going to show that to the others; he's keeping a brave face, a savage grin despite the near death. "I could use it, and I think so could the others."
