Eidren begins to climb. Ropes and climbing were definitely not his favorite, but he always managed. At the mouth the gaping maw, he waited for the rest of his companions, peering into the darkness for any clue as to what might be lurking there.
As you wade into the water, you feel the cold of the water hitting your skin. As you continue to walk, the puddle starts to get deeper and deeper. I doesn't take long before the water goes over your head.
As Leif swims deeper into the pond, it only goes forward a little ways. Under the water, it is pitch black, but Leif's dark-vision lets him see. On the farthest end of the pond, something is written on the wall.
It reads in Elvish "Yassen amin manke lle be? ten' lle il- sinta, lle il- elea. Amin sana de n'uma space, nan' quanta i' palurin ie' night. Y' telme en' secrets, e' i' blindien me'a."
Since you understand Elvish, you understand it. "With me where you be? For you would not know, you would not see. I take up no space, but fill the world at night. A blanket of secrets, in the blinding light."
Under the inscription, you see a patch of the stone wall that is extremely smoothed out, and a blue glowing crystal floating in the water.
With his previous experience on the past riddle, Leif swims around to look for something to etch the word 'Darkness' using the same language with his dagger.
As Leif finishes, he feels vibrations in the water, and notices as the water level starts to lower. When the water drains from the pond, you can now walk in the bowl. At the bottom where Leif answered the riddle, the stone sinks, making a doorway.
Eidren doesn't see any traps. As the party walks in, they see a similar style of art as the cave under the tree. As you walk down a similar walkway, you here a strange, low, guttural noise.
Athletics, Leif gets advantage since he got a head start
Asgrim 18
Gothazar 12
Eidren 4
Leif 18
Gothazar was the last one to the cliff. While he was running, he twisted his ankle (Gothazar's speed is halved, due to natural 1)
Asgrim got a good workout, and has a little bit of adrenaline in his veins. (Asgrim has advantage on his next Str. based roll, due to natural 20)
Once on the bottom, Asgrim feels somehow stronger. Must've been something with the rope. He pulls out his axes. "Who'll take lead within?"
Othorion Sarfir - Half-Drow Eldritch Knight - The Murder Court
"I am perfectly happy putting myself in the way of my small friends and harm unless someone wants to scout."
Gothazar lights another torch once he descends
Eidren begins to climb. Ropes and climbing were definitely not his favorite, but he always managed. At the mouth the gaping maw, he waited for the rest of his companions, peering into the darkness for any clue as to what might be lurking there.
"Let's leave the ropes here just in case. We don't know if the same thing will happen like last time when we procured the Elven Tear."
Leif descends down to the cave's entrance as soon as he brought his suggestion to the group.
As you walk into the cave, you don't see much, other than a large puddle of water on the far side of the cave.
Eidren sighs. “One silver says someone has to go swimming.”
He begins to make his way through the cave towards the large puddle cautiously keep aware of his surroundings.
As you wade into the water, you feel the cold of the water hitting your skin. As you continue to walk, the puddle starts to get deeper and deeper. I doesn't take long before the water goes over your head.
"Save your silver for later Eidren, I'll check ahead if there is something hidden.
Keep your heads up high while I take a look below, who knows what creatures lurks in this maw."
Leif recites an improptu poem before he dives down into the water to check for a path for the rest to swim to or an enemy lurking beneath the deep.
Gothazar watches Leif's decent carefully ready to intervene should danger present
Eidren is glad to stay outside of the water. He readies his crossbow and waits for any sign of danger.

With his previous experience on the past riddle, Leif swims around to look for something to etch the word 'Darkness' using the same language with his dagger.
Leif doesn't see anywhere to etch it, but the smooth section of stone seems to be slate due to the texture.
Since Leif can't use his ink to write while submerged in water, the sea elf proceeds to etch the answer he thinks is right at the smooth slate.
As Leif finishes, he feels vibrations in the water, and notices as the water level starts to lower. When the water drains from the pond, you can now walk in the bowl. At the bottom where Leif answered the riddle, the stone sinks, making a doorway.
Eidren heads to the doorway, and cautiously checks for traps.

Gothazar readies his shield and mace, moving to the front of the party, peering into the darkness
