"You know where the Lost and Found is!? My daddy was right! Someone did come to take me to the Lost and Found. I'm going to find my daddy!!" she takes Isy's hand and follows along with her.
"As long as we get there soon! We're going to find my daddy! YAY!" she says as she wipes her tears away. "I really like the carnival, but if I don't find my daddy then I can't go home."
"How do we get to the lost and found? Should we ask an adult?"
Illuwenscowls. This place is scary, and he doesn't really trust anyone who works here. Maybe a guest, another parent would know where to go? He looks around to see if there are any children accompanied by adults that they might approach.
"Chase and Scratch don't have wings, but they could keep hiding here while the rest of us go ask someone."
Chaseshares a look with Scratch. He wants to leave, and so does she, but the rest seem to want to find this Lost and Found. What should they do? If there’s a chance Chandlerwas taken there, shouldn’t they try to find him? “Should we try to find this place?” she asks her twin. “If we stick together, hiding, as Illuwen says, we should be okay. And we could find Chandler. And also...”, she trails off as she places a paw on her lips. Then she reaches to touch Scratch's head, who had been taller up until now.
The orange Tabaxi shifts her bicolored gaze to the newcomer. “Belinda, right? What does your dad look like? Where did you last see him?”
"My daddy is really tall and has red hair just like me! We got separated here and I looked around for him but I couldn't find him anywhere..." she begins to tear up a little bit. "He told me that all I would have to do is find one of the hairy men wearing pumpkins and they would take me to the lost and found. He said if we got separated that he would wait for me there."
Isy starts looking around to see if she can see anyone that looks like what Belinda says her father looks like, and if there are any signs nearby that might help orient us.
"The hairy men wearing pumpkins? Do you mean the guards!? But those men are bad news! I don't want them to take any of us anywhere!"Chase says, remembering what Scratch told them when he saw Chandler being taken away. "We could follow the one that's looking for us and see where he goes. Maybe... he won't keep looking for us much longer if we just keep hiding, right? He'll get tired and go." Chase's voice falters slightly, as she isn't quite convinced by her own words.

Lex looks around for the guards that were searching for them earlier. He mentions, “Maybe the wings will just keep the guards from taking us.” While looking he also glances about at the games and stalls, mildly distracted by all of the magical sights.
"But my daddy said that they're good guys. He said that they go around looking for troublemakers and trespassers, whatever that word means, and they take them to the big kitty at the lost and found. If he takes lost kids to play with a big kitty, how bad can he be?" Belinda shrugs with her palms up as if to emphasize her question.
As Lexlooks around he sees many different games and activities going on.
At the closest stall there is a child armed with a cushioned mallet and he is smacking the eyes of a dummy creature with a ball shaped body that seems to float. The eyes he continuously swings at keep popping out of stalks that protrude from the creature's body. This stall is called Bash-a-Beholder.
Across the thoroughfare there is a group of children who shout, "What time is it, Mister Witch!?" This dummy of a large man stands before them holding a gilded pocket watch and croaks, "It's 8 o'clock." and turns around. The children proceed to sneak up on him foot by foot. They slowly creep up as if they are quietly racing. Then one child makes it to the dummy and takes the watch and wins a prize! This stall is called What time is it, Mister Witch?
Just south of that you see children all set up around a small table all drawing something on pieces of parchment. As the children finish up their drawings, they all come to life and begin walking on the table towards their artist. This stall is called Fold-up Friend.
Even further south you see children one at a time being blindfolded and led behind a curtain. As they emerge from the curtain some of them hold their noses and chuck back whatever carnival treats they had eaten prior, trying not to vomit. Some of the children last a full minute and emerge to win a prize. This stall is called Cuddle the Catoblepas.
The northern most stall you see children running around in a circle backwards and counterclockwise. While they do this, they are rhyming words one after another. When they mess up a rhyme or fall down, they are eliminated from the game. The last child standing (sometimes literally) wins a prize. This stall is called Widdershins Rhymes.
Just north of where you are you see children spinning a wheel and pulling a lever to stop it, trying to land on their chosen space. If they land on their space they win a prize, and some children walk away casting spells. This stall is called Wheel of Magic.
Southwest of your location you see children trying to name a very odd-looking creature. Small signs are posted around the creature with hints towards its name. After a while someone finally gets it right and walks away with a prize. This stall is called Name the Unnamable.
The final stall to the southwest seems to be where some of the carnival goers are getting drinks and snacks. Each of these treats seem to affect its consumer in silly magical ways. This stall is called Witchlight Delights.
This brings us back to the stall you all hide under, Candlefoot's Story Hour. The sign hanging from the window, "Knock for Candlefoot's Story Hour. Cost: 3 Carnival Prizes", sways in the wind.
As Lexinspects the carnival stalls in the area, he notices that one of the guards is approaching from the north. Most likely to check out the commotion caused by the caltrops.
Scratch scratches his ear. "I don't know," he remarks, looking nervous and unsure. "Maybe they were just taking Chandler to the lost and found. If we take Belinda there, maybe we can get Chandler out." He looks back behind them again to see if the guard is still nearby.
Chase sighs. "Okay, then you, the winged ones, go speak with the guard and Scratch and I follow up trying to stay hidden?"
As she says this, she takes a look at the stalls and feels sad. Everything there looked like so much fun! When they first heard about the Carnival, she never imagined it would turn out this way. She wishes she was one of the kids enjoying the stalls. Okay, maybe not the Catobl... whatever that thing was. But the Wheel of Magic? And the Witchlight Delights? Now, that sounded fun! But instead, they had to find their missing friend while staying out of sight from the weird masked thieves. Another sigh escaped her.
Scratch looks at Lex. Boys unite! "You think you can get these girls to the lost and found?" he asks the small boy. He makes a motion with his head over his shoulder. "You could ask that guard there to help you."
Isy, nervously moves as if to head to the guard, then stops, "Okay, just tell him we are looking for the Lost and Found, right?" She then resumes her exit from under the boardwalk, waits for the others who are coming with to exit, and starts heading toward the guard.
Illuwenfollows Isyout from under the boardwalk, keeping an eye out for the shadowy figure that's been following them. He tugs nervously on his wings, making sure they're still there.
Lex looks at the guard nervously, then steels himself, pressing his lips firmly together and giving a quick nod. He looks at Scratch. "Yeah, I can do that." He gives a quick glance back at the games, part of him wanting to go play the Wheel of Magic and the Name the Unnameable games.
He follows Isy and Illuwen out, and begins to approach the guard. "Um, excuse me, can you help me find the Lost and Found?"

You don't see anyone who resembles her description and the only signs you see indicate the stalls and games near by.
