Jasmine clears her throat and asks Armeros, "Please feel free to ignore this question if it is too personal and do not take this the wrong way... But does this lord of yours happen to have ties with the Feywild or the Nine Hells?"
Armeros lowers his head at Jasmine's question, appearing to consider for a moment before giving a polite yet wide smile. "I don't mind. While many of my...race feel resentment towards our blood, it has always been my family's way to embrace it."
"Well, it's said that sharing is caring...in short, some of the higher ups in felt more profit in trafficking of people, than in guarding them. Not sure if others of my outpost survived...maybe they branded as traffickers by real traitors. Few on frontier with any experiencing fighting, were slaughtered. Test...taken. I was on the trail, when I stopped to rest. My sons...just boys..." Jason breaks off, sadness flashing across his face, replaced with a determined anger.
"And here I was just out for a celebratory breakfast after collecting another bounty on another wanted scumbag. But wow, you guys have some serious trauma! Well, when this is over if you need help tracking down the folks you're seeking vengeance on, I'm for hire!"

"Yes." Jasmine agrees, "I have already offered to help before but I will do so again. Once this is debacle with the so called 'goddess of goodness'..." There is a hint of disgust in Jasmine's voice as she says it, "...is concluded, I will do what I can to help bring the perpetrators to justice."
"I as well, if you'll have me. It will be nice to incinerate some people and not be blamed for it...Just do not make me talk to children please." Armeros appears to relax a bit at the thought of his flames actually working against something.
"That shouldn't be too hard, I don't see very many children rushing to us for conversations. I as well am open to continuous on if with manage to leave this place. I'm just a simple hired hand but always looking for honest coin." Xondario was more concerned to get out of here all in tact which he guessed was most likely with this group together, but it never hurt to have prospects for after as well.
"I thank you, brave friends! Evil bottoms will be kicked, and innocent souls will be set free. Our justice flows like a mighty river, and we will wash away the stains of villainy! We will break those chains of oppression!"
Jason sighs in relief, glancing at the party. "Before that, we must get back. Much work to do so, I suppose. Striving to be more than we are, to overcome elementals, these gods or fiends, we will seize our fates from them, to make those fate ours!"

Pardon if things are slightly disjointed for a time, I have to get the story running in my blood again, so to speak.
In response to being asked about the caravan ever meeting resistance on the road: "Resistance? no. Except for thugs here and there, and some occasional wild animal attacks, our life is rather peaceful. I've never seen fire monsters in these areas."
The road ends up begrudgingly providing a straight path to... somewhere? It seems to be going a total different direction from the tower, so it's presumably providing a path to a town or something. Since it seems the reluctant consensus is to find a village or city or whatever, and the road was asked to lead you there, I can only assume you are following the new path. Nothing happens for a while, but eventually it becomes unavoidably noticeable that there are more and more flowers and wildlife the further you go. In fact, things seem nice in general. Everything is a soft, light green, the forest is filled with all sorts of colours, and there is sweet birdsong filling the air. Wether they know it or not, it has an effect on the entire party. Calming moods, softening the tension that's been building, and comforting aching hearts. After walking in this lush world for some time, you start to hear sweet, complex song, sung with such skill and love that even the cruelest demon would feel a tiny needle in their heart. The kind of music that brings tears to the eyes of less strong willed creatures, and even those with decades of practice hiding their emotion. Wether it's tears of joy, tears of sorrow, or something in between, only you could know as your mind is filled with memories from long past.
"Where are we? This place is making me almost feel joy being here. I can't help but feel like there is more to play then pretty scenery but I can't place it. Based on how we were all feeling before we left our road friend, I'm guessing if you feel a similar way to me, which makes it even more suspicious." Xondario trying to keep the serious tone in his voice did enjoy the feeling of being happy and memories. Xondario didn't have a particular happy life but it did have its moments over time, it was nice to be reminded of that.
Armeros starts to hum along with the song without realizing it, grinning so hard as treasured memories of his former power fill his head that his pointed teeth pierce his lips slightly.
"Oh yes, those were the days," he states with a giddy laugh as blood trickles down his chin, before shaking his head and regaining some composure. "But it's not...I'm not the same. Yet."
Taxidea sighs deeply, remembering the family he left behind in order to protect them. "Somebody's got a serious set of pipes," he muses.

"Oh no. Oh no no no" Jasmine says, noticing the calming effect this place is having on her. "I've had enough perception altering effects for one day. I do not trust." While she is serious about not trusting this place, she can't help but take on a more jovial and joking phrasing and tone. Jasmine may have been an oddly emotional Yuan-Ti but she still grew up in a society that saw such emotion as a weakness to be exploited. Her upbringing in a society that understood emotion on a clinical level and how to exploit it, combined with her natural resistance to magic makes her suspicious of this place.
Jasmine looks to Xondario. "It seems you are feeling the same way, friend. You are quite right. This is all very suspicious."
Rapidly, signs of life start appearing. Intricate fences start lining the road, lanterns hanging from sleek lamp posts, waiting to light up the night. You start to see cheerful cottages, as you approach what looks too be a town square. There is a variety of instruments being played, children running around playing their games, a family having a picnic, some craftsmen doing something with a huge log, and so much more. You've never seen anything like it! It's hard to imagine anything bad happening here. Still taking in all the sounds and sights, the next thing to be notice is that there are only elves, humans, half elves, halflings and gnomes. While some certainly notice the strange, tired looking party, nobody approaches, and nobody seems to bee surprised or scared. You receive a number of warm smile and some kids are sitting on a fence staring.
Taxidea looks at the children on the fence. "Hey kids!" he calls, "See that guy there- with the horns?" He motions at Armeros. "He's got some questions for you!" He winks at Armeros and starts to laugh.

"Wh-?" Armeros isn't as infuriated as he otherwise would be, simply laughing nervously as the happy children turn their attention to him. None of them--none of the adults either, he realizes--show the slightest fear or suspicion of him. As charming as he knows himself to be, it is still disconcerting.
Xondario would try to flag down an adult closer to the path, "Excuse me, pardon. Hey there, sorry to bother you all but my friends and I are looking for a few beds and warm meals. Would there be such a place close by here." He trys to keep his distance as he towers over all these folks, carrying the big headed hammer, and burns up and down his arms and clothes from the scap with the fire elementals.
"Some of our friends are looking for a library...or a Sage...a historian...or maybe an oracle...you know, if you have any of those laying around too." Taxidea interjects.

Jason watches as his surroundings change. It seems that when one leaves the vicinity of the tower, things appear...less ominous?
As they approach the town, the charm, at least, reminds him of his hometown, and the good times shared there.
"What he said. We're looking for someone whose knowledgeable of the ways of magic, legends, fiends and gods. Maybe even a local bard, who knows of good tales told about the region?"
