The eladrin whips their shoulder-length white hair in the air and slides off the spider. He's standing right outside the web cage. He plucks the string of his bow lightly with his finger, and says in the smooth male voice of a young adult "I guess my friends are having lunch today."

Linos not only repeats in halfling, the curse tossed out by Whisper but adds a couple choice phrases of his own.

The eladrin is speared on the ground, and blood begins to drip onto his clothes. He jumps up, clutching his chest with his right hand, and with his left hand pulls out a staff. The staff is just under 2 feet tall and made of hardened purple gel, and the tip is formed into the shape of a dragon's claw. "Look at the way these spiders obey me. I am their king. I protect them from humanoids, and they protect me." He lifts up his staff, which begins crackling with necromantic energy. "I am one of the Wardens. We are rogues who trained to kill the Dao. My spider army is here to destroy him. And his throne. will. be. mine." The eladrin makes a series of clicking noises, and the spiders all vanish, leaving just the Eladrin. "We formed before he turned to glass, and before he returned. I am hundreds of years older than I sound."

The eladrin swings his staff, and a thick blanket of shadow engulfs Linos. Make a DC 16 Strength Save or be grappled and take 13 necrotic damage.

"I suspect that you know of his location. Let's make this real simple; you can tell me where to find him, or die."

Thrudor who has been standing trying to think of a way to solve this without violence speaks "I am Thrudor. I am a druid who has been living here for many years helping these folks farm and live. I do not know very much about the Dao other than he was turned to glass and has reappeared fighting at the arena. A woman saw him fighting there. Perhaps that is where you need to look. The people of this town are simple, kind hearted farmers, we want no trouble."

The eladrin nods. "Hello, Thrudor. I have just one problem. He has a base of some sort that I cannot find. It's hard to find him wandering around town. If you do not know more, then what do your friends know?" Insight 5 to see if the party knows about a base of some sort [like the tunnels Whisper found].

Thrudor confused "A base? I am sorry I do not understand. Why do you wish to kill the king and replace him? I do not understand the politics of the realm. I simply help the poor folk of this town farm a sustainable life."

"Not to kill the King, I want him to stay in power. The Dao is who I want gone forever, the one you now call the Glass Dao. He is weak enough to finally be defeated." He looks at the party. "So you know nothing. Do you know of anyone who can find them?" He pulls ends the spell on Linos (make the DC 16 save with advantage or take 13 necrotic damage.) and cuts down the webs. "Very well, that's all I needed. But you will find information for me. Me spiders can watch you."

Thrudor looks at the other 2 and then back at the elf...."You want us to find information out about the Dao in order for you and your spiders to kill him? For what purpose? I have not gotten into the affairs of state in...a long time.....is this my path to leave here, who will help these folks...."

Whisper frowns, clearly not interested in helping this elf in any way. Besides, the plate said the glass dao could be good and 'free the multiverse', didn't it? Not that she even understood what that meant or had any proof the plate was to be believed, but...She studied the eladrin, trying to gauge how much her earlier attack had hurt him.
