Alright, so we go out into the city. Dagran with me, Alwyn with Lirvar. I’d like to go look for any governing types, or crowds of people. Someone who could fill us in a bit.
I assume the town would have a market district of some sort I'd like to head there, looking for alchemy ingredients and striking up conversations with merchants about the local situation.
Yes there is a small market and a few shops. If you go you will notice that a lot of the shops are closed, but a few shops remain open. At this point you see a few people walking hurriedly through the market. There are three shops open, one selling herbal medicine and produce, a blacksmith, and one selling fresh produce from one of the farms.
You walk into the small shop. It is completely empty, and a halfing woman is cleaning. As you walk towards her and ask the question, she turn quickly, surprised to see someone in her shop when there are no one on the streets. Ah, hello, uh, well life in general has been, uh, interesting lately, but the farm has been doing well.
"I'm glad to hear that. May I ask what has been making life interesting lately? I'm afraid we're new in town, just stopped in to rest after eliminating some hobgoblin bandits just outside of town, and we're a little behind on local news."
Well, the towns been nearly at a halt, what with no one roaming the streets,it isn't as lively as it used to be, and now with our beloved kings death... She pauses for a few seconds before snapping back to reality, then, trying hard not to look sad, she says. Oh, you're the ones who killed the bugbears? Many thanks for that, they stole a lot from all the farmers around here, I'm sure they all share the same appreciation for this deed. How could I ever repay you?
"No need for payment, but, if you don't mind, we could really use some information. We'd hoped to have a chance to pay our respects to the king, but we heard about his untimely passing, may he find peace. Could you tell us more about what happened, I didn't believe he was that old or ill? And is that related to the quiet around town? It sounded like thats been going on for awhile now, but we've no idea why? I appologize for all the questions, I tend to be very inquisitve, habits of a healer."
We were not told of how he died. He was not very old and we were not told he was ill. I suspect an assassin from another kingdom was hiding as a plain villager then killed him. I cannot help you any more than that, however.
(Sogasri) You walk in the town for a while until you stumble on a large building surrounded by guards, you assume this building to be where the king lived. As you approach a guard walks towards you. Sorry sir, but townsfolk are not allowed in this area.
(Alwyn) She takes it as she leaves briskly into the kitchen.
I can accompany you, we shouldn’t go out in the city alone. It can be a dangerous place.

Lirvar will stop by the produce merchant first, "Hello my good (sir/madam, which is it?) how is life on the farms these days?"

Alwyn picked up the broom and kept cleaning when she started talking to Lirvar. Handing it back to her when he was ready to leave.
Soga goes looking for some sort of gathering or official, or a government building. Anything really
