The Goblin closes the door to the study room. The detective looks through some of the letters, putting some in his coat. The door swings open. Geffano stands in his dark room, light illuminating his back. To all but Sirrus with his dark vision, his face is obscured by shadow, leaving only his blue and cyan stripped suit and combed hair. "So what have you-" He then notices sirrus and the detective, both dressed like the goons. "Ah," he says, a hint of anger in his voice. He has seen through your disguises, what do you do?
The boss turns around, facing you all. Peyton readies her stick, and Apa draws her sword in turn. The boss uses ready as an action, hand in suit pocket, and calmly reaches under his desk.
Apa, it is your turn. Would you still like to attack him with the blade, seeing Peyton ready her stick?
( the roller has been wonky for me....I don't know why it did the dice roll thing manipulation thing...Anyhow, Apa will charge at the boss trying to stop them from pushing whatever is under the desk by taking a hack at them)
Apa, as you charge at the boss, you activate his ready action, and he uses it to attack. He pulls out a small, metallic device, in the shape of a silver rectangle with a hole at its end and a handle for the user to hold. He points it at you, and pulls on a trigger on the handle.
13 to hit, if that hits, 12 piercing damage.
A sound louder than thunder hears the room. You can't even see the projectile that left the device. As for your sword attack, it barely misses the boss, searing his suit.
The blast leaves a scorch mark in his suit as it narrowly avoids him. The detective murmers something, and flanks around the boss, using the help action to give Peyton advantage (though it doesn't look like she needs it). Does Peyton follow up with the whack?
Peyton, this boss has been the source of all the misery the mob has produced. He has masterminded every operation, and hidden in the shadows to avoid justice for who knows how long. So naturally, you hit him over the head with a large piece of wood! It connects, hitting his head with a crack and sending him stumbling. He catches himself on his desk before he can fall to the ground, nocking a few items to the floor. "You... little [Redacted], you have no IDEA what its going to cost me to take care if you!". The door bursts open, and 3 thugs and one goblin rush in. Somehow, he summoned them here. "Of course," the Goblin says, as new enemies are rolled into initiative.
Thug num 3 goes after apa, and swings his mace twice,
Unable to parse dice roll., if it hits, 8. Then again, Unable to parse dice roll., if it hits, 5.
The boss draws a sword out from somewhere in the room. "Kill everyone." He commands the guards. The boss swings his sword at you, Peyton, with a roll of 18 for 6 damage. He then points the metal device at you, Unable to parse dice roll. for 13.
A thug then stumbles after sirrus, murmering something about uncle jeremy. He swings his mace twice, clumsily, sometimes not even aimed at you, sirrus. Unable to parse dice roll., for 1, and Unable to parse dice roll. for 5.

Peyton tries to clock him with her stick!

Fire's burn: 5

While I do like the idea of immediantly wacking him with a stick, let's roll initiative first.
The boss: 17
Detective: 4
You don't have to reroll your attacks, the initiative is just to put things in order
Init: 7
Initiative 13

Sirrus initiative: 5
Ok, the final count for initiative is:
Boss: 17
Apa: 13 (for some reason the initiative post has the manipulated dice roll, but I remember the origional roll)
Sirrus: 5
Detective: 4
Peyton: 3 (don't worry, you'll still be able to wack him with the nat 20 stick)

Apa unsure what the weapon is the boss uses had her shield up at the right angle to deflect whatever was shot out at her (miss)
You deflected the odd projectile, and it dents itself into the wall. Sirrus, it is your turn, and the boss is still behind his desk.
Sirrus pushes his hands forward, blasting Boss with a crackle of energy. (Eldritch Blast)
13 to hit, 6 force damage.
The blast leaves a scorch mark in his suit as it narrowly avoids him. The detective murmers something, and flanks around the boss, using the help action to give Peyton advantage (though it doesn't look like she needs it). Does Peyton follow up with the whack?
Yes, she takes advantage and whacks the guy!
