The world has never been a safe place. Bastions of civilization populate a dark, menacing world - islands of order and reason exist in a land otherwise overrun by dark cults, vile monsters, creatures from the dark edges of the imagination, and worse.
As deadly as the world is on a normal day, something has begun to stir on the fringes of the civilized Elsir Vale. Formerly the site of an attack by an army known as the Red Hand, the Vale has known several years of peace since brave adventurers stormed into the teeth of the approaching Hand and sent them scurrying back into the darkness.
But the peace of Elsir Vale - and specifically, the town of Brindol, heart of the former conflict with the Red Hand - has been shattered. The vague shadow of unease the locals have been experiencing lately has crystallized in the form of an attack on the town itself. Now Brindol finds itself once more in need of brave heroes willing to come to the aid of their citizens.

I'm gonna throw my character in here, if you'd rather not have me because I'm in Kobolds that's perfectly fine! :)
Name: Aka'ula Race: Tortle Class: Monk Sheet: Aka'ula Backstory: Aka'ula spent his whole life since his parents died off, like most Tortles, exploring the lands. He has climbed vast mountain ranges, traversed deep chasms and even once found his way into the Shadowfell. Now as he is getting closer to the end of his natural life, he is visiting more settlements than usual, in search of a mate while still looking for adventures to go on. It seems this week, he found his way to the town of Brindol.
I’m cheap and didn’t feel like buying the material twice for Dnd beyond so I can’t make a character sheet on my own but:
Fezzik Swiftstep: Forest Gnome Rogue - plan on arcane trickster
8, 16, 13, 16, 10, 12
Fezzik always had a knack for getting the job done. He is small and sneaky enough to develop a set of lets say not so moral skills. Usually only picking up a few coins or trinkets from travelers wandering through the forest, but always did what he could for the less fortunate or less skilled than him. Lately he has been thinking of setting off to something greater in the next step of his life.
though not literally He falls under the old line of "seventh son of the seventh son" now out trying to prove his worth to his father and more importantly to Bahamut
Name: Jakob Race: Human (Variant: Tough Feat) Class: Blood Hunter Sheet:https://ddb.ac/characters/4157823/36u7wz Backstory: Jakob was born into an abusive familly. For the first 6 years of his life he was beaten, starved, and was only allowed to drink if he finished his 8 hour chores. On his 7th birthday he witnessed his drunken father beat his mother to death. Frightened, he ran away and eventually, due to starvation and dehydration, he collapsed and he was found by a member of the Order. He was taken in where he was fed and given water. He decided to stay and make this his new home. They trained him rigorously, eventually, on his 16th birthday, he was given the Hunter's Bane, an alchemical concoction that mutates the body. After being in a coma for a week, he awoke with cat eyes, quicker reflexes and he was stronger. On his 18th birthday he was sent out on his own to rid the world of monsters, cause that's what Blood Hunters do. Kill monsters.
Ex-military fighter crossbowman. Dishonorably discharged from military duty, he bounced around among mercenary companies but didn't fit in there either. Now he's looking for a place to be a soldier as well as a tight knit group that serves society, but without the bureaucracy of large units.
Mikhael Frostmoon, A half-elf sorcerer, self-admitted vigilante, and isn't weapons specialist. His backstory is that his magic is entirely self-taught, and he stands up for the common people. Just don't let him get drunk.
A hooded figure of average height and build enters the tavern, keeping his head low. He carries a locust-wood staff engraved with runes on his back, and two black-handled knives at his belt. It is only after that he takes a seat at the bar that he lowers his hood, revealing the silvery scales that cover the right side of his face. His eyes are ice-blue and have slit pupils, like a dragon. He places his right hand on counter, revealing a silver-scaled claw. He grins at the barkeep and says."Evening Sir! Name's Mikhael Frostmoon. I'll take a pint of that lager right behind you. If you've got any meat or fish, that'd be nice too. It's been too long since i've had a proper meal." He withdraws a coin pouch with his left hand and drops a single gold coin onto the bar. "Here you are, good sir, this should cover it." He puts the pouch away, and waits patiently for his order.

The town of Brindol is not what she used to be. Ten years ago it was the site of a massive invasion of a goblinoid horde known as the Red Hand, and while the invaders were routed, a heavy price was paid in lives. More recently, a band of goblinoids has been murdering and kidnapping through the countryside. But so far the attacks have not entered the walls of Brindol.
You find yourselves this afternoon at the Antler and Thistle tavern. Not the most reputable tavern in Brindol, but then again not by far the least reputable (that honor belonging to the Marooned Schooner, the favored bar of the halfling riverpeople). Right now the tavern is mostly empty, it being well before the evening rush; but the dwarven barkeep Durbun Oakblade is on hand to serve spirits, a few habitual drunkards sit at the bar, and in the back corner a game of cards is underway.
(Mikhael has gone ahead and introduced himself, the rest of you introduce yourselves and make yourselves comfortable in the tavern!)
Durbun the barkeep looks at the coin, weighs in his hand and, telling by feel that the coin is indeed gold of regulation weight, smiles at Mikhael. "Of course, sir; here's yer lager, an' I'll see what the cook can fix up for ya; an' ye make yerself a' home ya hear!"
Mikhael accepts the beverage and smiles appreciatively at the barkeep. After taking a long drink he swivels in his seat, surveying the room with mild interest.

a tall muscular dragonborn enters and looks around his grey eyes and light blue hair seeming to accentuate the silver in his scales., he slings his shield around his back and orders a wine from the bartender
then he moves to a table and sits as it watching the door
Mikhael stands up and moves to sit at the same table as the Dragonborn. He smiles cordially as he notices the symbol of bahamut emblazoned on the dragonborn's armor. "What brings a holy warrior of your stature to this little establishment? I thought you guys had some taboo against having fun." He chuckles "I jest, I jest. It's good to see I'm not the only one with silver scales. I'm Mikhael Frostmoon, by the by. What's your name, friend?"
An average height and build, young human walks in. You immediately notice his medium length white hair he keeps in a small ponytail and his eyes are like a cat's. His armor is dark brown leather with small studs in the vital areas. He carries a greatsword and a crossbow on his back.
He walks over to the bar and sits down as his cat eyes dart around the room scanning his surroundings.
