I, Dihek'nir of the Githyanki, would like to apply to the School College of [Illusion / Glamor / Lore / Swords / Valor / Whispers]. I and your College share similar values of bravery and [fill in later].
My background is in the following skills and reasons:
longsword - I'm Githyanki
survival - hatched and survived
stealth, athletics and acrobatics - because I survived
arcana - I know magic!
performance and persuasion - I love playing bagpipes! or drums.
I have trained and tried to hunt mindflayers, but did not find any. Nobody has contacted me from my home plane either. After 32 years I decided to learn to play an instrument. I have been performing in Waterdeep for the last 16 years. Now I have decided to become real bard and go to school.
I consider myself an entertainer and since I also know magic, I will be a great fit for for your College.
Thank you, Dihek'nir

Name: Throg Race: Half-Orc Class: Paladin Background: Acolyte Brief backstory: Throg was abandoned as a baby and taken in at a temple where he grew to respect light over darkness, good over evil, and to always look out for those who couldn't. But as Throg grew, so did his fury and without an outlet to express it, he couldn't focus on his studies. They gave him a warhammer and shield, allowing the half-orc to remain as the temples protector so long as he remained within the light. Which Throg did for a time, but eventually needed to stretch out his legs. If he were truly brought to the temple by the deities divine intervention, then he has learned all he could and was ready to use it out in the world. How did you join up with the group: After leaving the temple, Throg found himself in waterdeep with no money. He took the first job he could with a group of others and due to his need to prove himself and training to protect others, the job went off without a hitch. Throg figured this was his deities doing and decided to stick around until his deity shows him another path. How often can you post:As often as needed

Wruce was shocked to see his parents being murdered by a criminal in front of his very eyes. Now orphaned Wruce took refuge in a nearby monastery. The Monks there fed him and clothed him and in return they asked for personal perfection through contemplation and rigorous training. When Wruce was older and his skills developed he was sworn to isolation, promising only to emerge to serve as a spy or assassins at the command of their leader, a noble patron. Wruce refused to take another persons life, thinking he would be no better than the thug who killed his parents and ran from the monastery. He now wanders looking for his parents killer and fights crime to ensure no child ever goes through what he did.
After visitng a few towns and “taking care” of some criminals, Wruce ended up in Waterdeep. One day he noticed two people fighting in and ally and went in to serve up his own personal brand of justice. One thug went down easy enough, but the other was putting up a good fight. After tradeing blows for a while and after exhaustion was beginning to set in, the two got to talking. It turned out the other “Thug” was actually doing the same thing as Wruce, trying to clean up the streets. The other “thug” told him to meet with him and some of his friends later at the Yawning Portal if he was interested in doing more than beating up thugs. Wruce thought to himself he would go investigate what was up at the Yawning Portal.
I can post fairly regularly during the day weekdays and weekends.
By popular demand, I will use my (7 7 7 15 15 15 ) roll from before. Damn this is going to hurt... I will let ya know what I come up with lol.
Name: Sloth
Race: Bugbear
Class: Barbarian
Background: Outlander
Brief backstory: Sloth used to live in the wilderness and force other creatures to hunt and gather for him. Eventually they realized he was too lazy to chase after them if they ran away, so they did. He eventually followed the smell of food to Waterdeep where he sleeps on the streets and mostly scavenges for scraps or eats random small animals and creatures that venture down his alleyway at night, using the element of surprise to his advantage.
How did you join up with the group: One of his victims promised him the chance to be rich and never have to hunt for food or work again if he spared him. So he allowed the gnome to go after being provided the location and time to meet up with the crew planning to pull the job.
Brief backstory: He was making a life towards serving his God when a conflict with Dwarves killed his favorite Uncle and mentor. He is now looking towards Tymora (Lady Luck) as his divine guide and he is disillusioned about fate and his future. He has also found in his extensive studies that his genealogy includes Dragonblood which allows him to access the mysterious magic of the sorcerer. He has left home on a quest of self discovery and wants to face life head on with whatever lays ahead.
How did I join up with the group: As a somewhat spoiled youth who didn't ever really pay attention to money Fayten has found himself in need of funds. Someone mentioned that they could form a band for heir.
How often can I post: 2-5 times a day as needed and as time permits.
13, 14, 10, 17, 12, 18 -- That was supposed to automatically drop the lowest but here is my interpreted result from the roll: 12, 11, 10, 7, 17, 14
Finding his gifts early in life Gendal was a devoted sage determined to learn the arcane ways. After looking into forbidden tomes and lore he was expelled from the school he had been at and forced to find his own way. Drifting from one band to another he finally found those who would accept him and help him broaden his gifts.
Name: Myth Race: Changeling Class: Warlock (The Celestial) Background: Myth the Changeling (modified Charlatan background) Brief backstory: Short version: Myth, using his persona Morpheus Fable, signed up to be a member of the city guard and was chosen for training as a combat medic (arcane instead of divine). He has finished his 4 year tour of duty, and is now working as an adventurer. Long version:
Myth started out as a charlatan and a conman. He fell in with a bandit group, that had planed to ambush a caravan being escorted, by the City Guard, to Waterdeep.
The plan was for Myth to pretend to be a commoner running from a bandit attack. He would then attempt to persuade some of the Guard to split off and come with him, where they would be ambushed. As this was happening a second group would take the City Guard left protecting the caravan.
The plan was going as intended, with Myth bringing the first group to the ambush location. But when the City Guard were attacked, Myth was also attacked and left for dead. No loose end perhaps.
After the bandits had finished, while lying in the open air, waiting to die from his wounds, Myth heard the sounds of movement coming from where the caravan had been.A lone survivor of the attack.
The surviving City Guard, not knowing Myth had originally been in on the attack, tended to Myths wounds and nursed him back to health.
Under the weight of guilt and the kindness shown to him by this unnamed solider, Myth decided to enlisted with the Waterdeep City Guard, to try to make up for his past sins.
Not being overly strong, and catching the eye of the current Blackstaff, Myth was chosen to be a part of an experiment to create hybrid arcane caster / healers to serve as combat medics. The Blackstaff had made an agreement with a Solar of The Triad (Torm, Bahamut, and Ilmater) to train soldiers, to both fight and protect, while also healing and supporting their allies.
Myth was trained for 6 months, one of ten participants, and was then sent out to the outer areas of the Waterdhavian domain. There, Myth supported the City Guard tasked with dealing with the most dangerous threats to Waterdeep. Myth distinguish himself during this time, never leaving anyone behind, and working to save lives even in the most dire of circumstances.
Now that Myths 4 year tour of service with the City Guard is over, Myth has moved back to Waterdeep to find work where he can. There is always work to be had helping adventurous types. Everyone appreciates a healer.
----------
Myth’s Persona:
Name: Morpheus Fable Race: Half-Elf Description: This is Myths primary identity. This was the persona used when enlisting with the City Guard. Myth doesn't know, but the Blackstaff knows Morpheus is Myth the changeling. It is possible that the Blackstaff chose Myth, hoping that Myth might become a Gray Hand and possibly a Force Grey member one day. Myth and Mopheus are one in the same in personality, the differences are only skin deep. Personality Traits: I’m always polite and respectful. Ideals: Greater Good. Our lot is to lay down our lives in defense of others. (Good) Bonds: Someone saved my life on the battlefield. To this day, I will never leave a friend behind. Flaws: I made a terrible mistake in battle that cost many lives, and I would do anything to keep that mistake secret.
How did you join up with the group: Looking for work with adventurers, everyone loves a healer. How often can you post: At least once per day, but most days, more than this.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Name: Sweet Milo Baker Race: Halfling (Stout) Class: Wizard Background: Folk Hero Brief backstory: Sweet Milo comes from a well respected, though entirely insignificant family of bakers who live and work, as they have for roughly 5 generations now, along the outskirts of Waterdeep. Sweet Milo's life changed forever when he accidentally set a shady tavern across the road from his parent's bakery on fire while on a bakery delivery. Unbeknownst to him, the tavern was the headquarters of a ring of local thugs and corrupt merchants, who had been bribing city guards and politicians for favors and protection. The old stone walls and ale-soaked planks of the tavern turned a mild flame into a raging, but surprisingly controlled, furnace. Thoroughly baking these seedy fellows to a crisp, he was hailed as a local town hero and paraded around the neighborhood for several weeks. To protect him from the surviving members of the criminal ring, his parents sent him with a packed lunch and directions to visit some old friends across the city. After losing his way just within the city limits, Sweet Milo stumbled into the party, who seeing the hapless halfling, with neither lunch nor a clear sense of direction, took him in. How often can you post: 1 - 2 times a day, 5-6 days a week.

Name: Chauncy Race: Half-orc Class: Barbarian Background: Pirate Brief backstory: Chauncy was always looking for a place to belong, his parents never accepted(hence the name) and as he was always small for his age he was the target of many of the tribe members. He left at a young age and joined a pirate crew where he grew into his own figuratively and literally. Unfortunately his slight morals got in the way, he didn't enjoy the killing, he had no problem with killing for a reason, but he couldn't stand the killing and torture just for fun. Ability Score: Ability scores: 16119161210
Name: Thirgrim Lockbreaker Race: Hill Dwarf (Male) Class: Rogue
Background: Guild Merchant
Brief Backstory: "...of course I can break it. How much are you willing to part with for my help?"
Thirgrim is an established name in the locksmith's guild. Talented and shrewed, Thirgrim prides himself in his ability to 'break' locks. "If they meant to keep their things safe, they shouldn't rely on such shoddy craftsmanship." There isn't a job he won't take for the right price. Thirgrim often shutters his shop for months at a time when he is out on a job, often bringing back valuable artifacts, and unique contraptions he'll put up for sale in his store. The most interesting things he'll keep in the back, where he tinkers with them in his spare time until he grows bored. His most recent acquisition... a massive crossbow with intricate patterns he's yet to decipher. Thirgrim can barely carry the weapon, let alone wield it properly, but it hasn't stopped him from taking everywhere these days.
How did you join up with the group: Greed. Thirgrim's only in it for the money. Curiosity will often get the better of him however... in this case, he was talked in to the trip to Yawning Portal by a member of his party. The last time they traveled together everyone had made out great, and this party seemed better than most. Besides, it had been awhile since Thirgrim had been out of the shop, and it was time to restock his inventory.
Name: Ekene Atli Race: Yuan-ti Class: Druid Background: Not sure yet what will fit best Brief Backstory: Ekene was delivered to Phaulkonmere as an infant and has been living at the Emerald Enclave compound ever since. Her pale skin and serpentine yellow eyes speak to some non-human origin, but no one she knows is certain who or what her parents were. She has trained throughout her life to be a healer and has recently begun taking on missions for the Enclave, though not yet anything too dangerous. How did you join the group: Likely she could have met the other party members on one of her first missions for the Enclave, and has stuck with them out of friendship Post Frequency: Multiple times per day, barring unexpected emergencies and the like. Ability Scores: Rolled above in post #6.
Important Note: If Content Sharing is not enabled, I will have to adjust this character to the Basic Rules material, but the concept will be pretty much the same.

Always the troublemaker, his tribe exiled him at two years old after selling off a sacred heirloom for some booze. Aurhook has dealt with more close calls than he cares to remember, but that hasn't much as slowed him down. Hailing from Everlund and always keeping an eye open for his next prize.

Name: Krimorn Race: half-elf Class: wizard Background: After his parents were killed he was taken in by a wizard who wanted a student and was surprised to find he was quite good at the art. The old wizard turned to necromancy, which impacted Krimorn greatly and helped to focus his own studies. His goal would be to master the arts with a necromatic focus especially. He had to perfect the basics before attempting any difficult arcane rituals though. Name: Karugur Race: Half-Orc Class: Barbarian Background: Folk Hero
Brief backstory: Just a humble blacksmith Karugur never had hopes that he would be anything more than that. But as they say you never know what your capable of doing until your truly tested. Well, he received that test and found himself. Just after the winter snows melted a group of bandits came through the village. Instead of fighting them off the village just gave into there demands, but not everyone. Ellie, a barmaid at the local tavern and his girlfriend, decided to confront them. Seeing this from his shop, Karugur could only look on as she was cut down before his eyes. Soon his eyes were filled with a red haze and before he knew it the bandits were dead at his feet, a bloody greataxe in his hands. Soon after the funeral he left, not wanting to stay and be reminded of what happened.
How did you join with the group: Distraught over what happened, Karugur began throwing himself into more and more dangerous ventures.

backstory: He was bought originally by a rich mob boss, designed for one purpose.... Breaking the law. Stealing and assassinations are the only things E5P10NAG3 knows or understands. He was kept away from the public and all he knew for the majority of his life was what his handlers told him on a need-to-know basis. Once he was given free will, his owner tried to terminate E5P10NAG3 for fear that he would turn against him. This ended up being the last mistake his ex-master ever made. The only thing that was close by was the monastery where he learned how to fight. Once he was of age he knew he wanted to get out of the small town life and head to the big city to try his luck! He quickly learned that in the city, it was hard to make a living. He quickly became a local favorite among the underground fighting rings. Using his monastic skills to further his career and his pocketbook along. He worked as a carpenter during the day for a local shop, he was decent at it and it helped make up in money for any losses in the fights. He left at a young age and joined a pirate crew where he grew into his own figuratively and literally. Unfortunately his slight morals got in the way, he didn't enjoy the killing, he had no problem with killing for a reason, but he couldn't stand the killing and torture just for fun. He left his group.

Name: Thirgrim Lockbreaker
Race: Hill Dwarf (Male)
Class: Rogue
Background: Guild Merchant
Brief Backstory:
"...of course I can break it.

Name: Karugur
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Barbarian
Background: Folk Hero

Name: Hank Udip
Race: Stout Halfling
Class: Monk
Background: Gladiator
Brief backstory: Hank grew up in a small town, in the middle of no where!
How did you join up with the group: Walking home from work one day, I saw someone getting bothered by some local goons. He/She looked like they could use a hand, so I taught the goons what it feels like to be taken advantage of. We've been friends ever since!
