"North is fine but for what purpose? To secure a safe retreat? Do we even know a safe place to retreat to? If those flyers aren't delt with, we will certainly be needing that retreat path. Though the flyers would probably be our biggest issue retreating as well. So we should plan on how to manage that that threat or atleast offer those left in town with something." Hamma scratches his chin and ponders, "no good answer, just need to decide what's best. And again I'm not saying going north isn't the right thing to do, I just like to weigh the options and plan ahead. Speaking of that, what's the plan if going north goes well, or if it doesn't? If it goes poorly I assume retreat back here and have our last stand. If it goes well... follow their path back to the back lines and take out Catapults?"
With with 10 mins Hamma could ritual cast Unseen Servant to carry bombs or scout, or can cast find familiar if the town can provide 10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs
Boigo opens up "If they're trying to flank us and start a siege then we need to stop it. North is the only way we could get supplies in at the moment too. After that we counter flank and take out that onager on the road"
Callow, since he is currently a horse, can't say anything concerning the plan, but even if he was in his humanoid form, he wouldn't have much to say either. He'll run with whatever plan the party decides; his talent is in battle, not brains.
[[ I am sorry for being very late on this. Mix of busy/ennui. ]]
The party is able to head North to the hill. There they meet up with town forces there (scouts). The hill is surrounded by woods on three sides, with a view of the current main battle. The archers there have begun loosing arrows to try aiding with the main battle while holding position.
As you approach a grisled man that appears to be leading the group calls out, "What news is there?" Though he speaks confidently you're able to see a sense of nervousness amongst the town forces overall.

"The enemy is sending a flanking force and we intend to slow them down" Boigo says directly
"Keep firing as though you are unaware of this information. We do not wish to lose our element of suprise on them. Hopefully if they think they are moving without us knowing they will proceed slower to hide thier own movements. Also focus fire on the flyers you see in the main force." (Was Hamma able to get components to cast Find Familiar before they headed to the forest? Would be looking for a hawk to scout for us)
