All of you sense something is off, but you haven't been able to place it yet. But now, inside of the room where your dwarven friend is now, you see a small glint of steel, reflecting the faint moonlight.
Sergey asks "Who are you and why are we under arrest?"
"Fraternizing with traitors, public disobedience, breaking and entering, among some. Those are the accusations brought against you." The commander, a large, stocky man wielding a longsword, points at the dwarf with the tip of his blade. "You all, just fraternizing with traitors." As he's saying this, he sounds almost dreamy, as if he's going to get a promotion for these arrests. "A long sentence in a dark palace cell will serve you right, perhaps followed by an execution."
"The famous Rodak, an expert in the field of munitions. You can blow up your prison bed for all I care." He whistles, and teams of five or six guards appear, walking briskly (as best as they can in their heavy armor) down the alley towards you.
I try to look blissfully unaware of what is happening and say, "Wait what? Why are you trying to arrest us, I just came along to figure out what is happening so why are you trying to arrest me???? I'm was told there was a new bar around town...and I don't know these dwarves really..."
I ready my gun, so that if he attacks us I will shoot. I also put my right hand up to make it look like I am really just a bystander.

[OoC: How many are there?]
(OOC: With two parties of five coming down the alley and about five more (counting the commander), about fifteen in total)
"Don't try to play the fool with me, dwarf," he sneers. "I am fully ready to end you here and call it an accident."
"...Ya'know I am still confused, can you tell me what is happening here? I legitimately don't know anything. Just 'cause I am a dwarf and I am walking beside another don't mean I am in cahoots with another, that's kinda makes you sound...you know..."

[OoC: testing a funny...it didn't work :(]
The commander is clearly angered by this disobedience, grabbing Glorp by the shirt so he can't get away. "You do not play the fool with the Guard of Kyoto! Guards!" With this surprisingly high-pitched shout, the two teams of guards (that were entering the alley on either side) begin to advance towards you. "Arrest them. I'll deal with this one."
"Hmmmmmmmm...Welp I'm dead, I guess I will give up. I can't talk sense to a person who won't listen. At the very least can you not grasp my shirt, it kinda hurts...it feels like you are...attacking me"
....I keep my ready going?
[OoC: Can I count this as him attacking me? And if so can I get advantage because I would shoot them point blank?]

He isn't quite attacking you yet, as he is seemingly enjoying you being helpless, a wide grin on his sweat-covered face.
(OOC: I'm going to rule that the attack would be a normal roll, since ranged weapon attacks within 5 ft. have disadvantage. So disadvantage + advantage = normal)
DC: 18 (OOC: If I hit, his movement speed is reduced by 10 until the start of his next turn.)
Damage: 14
I lower my gun and stare him directly in the eyes.

With a sudden blast, the commander drops Glorp, clutching his arm. "Never mind arresting. Kill these criminals!" he shouts, pointing his sword and leading his guards towards you.

You see people dressed in dark cloaks, so as to stay hidden, marching up the stairs towards the dwarf.

I look at the Dwarf. "There are people here. Do you know them?" I feel uneasy, and my hands instinctively gravitate towards the hilts of my longswords

The dwarf doesn't have time to answer as a group of metal-clad people charge up the stairs. "Stop there! You are under arrest!" one of them shouts.
