The pincer manages to detach an impressive quantity of stone fragments and metal reinforcements from the mineral guardian's body. However, it fights back again! While Elias moves to view it and urges it on, singing of the heroism of its unequal fight, Rocksaucers, giving up on freeing himself, begins, despite the pincer's impediment, to pound Crustacean Horror with shield blows.
Unfortunately, the pincer is too much of a hindrance to the heroic construct. Mival looks hopefully at the electric arc still lingering between the powerful mage and the monster, and, seeing that Paqen seems intent on advancing, tries to move behind Tarysaa, never losing sight of the monster's terrible right pincer, still free and potentially ready to spring.
The kenku druid, taking Mival's place, invokes the powers of the moon, and a beam of supernatural light begins to shoot from the ceiling above the monster, engulfing it and burning its carapace.
The monster's carapace sizzles ominously under the eerie light, and Crustacean Horror struggles ever more desperately from the constant pain of the electricity and scorching light.
The tiefling heroine's javelin strikes true, shattering a chitinous plate on the carapace of the monster. Crustacean Horror looks increasingly battle-weary.
Now Tarysaa, Zevriel, and Khelbluen are up for Round 3!
Zevriel plants a heel against a chunk of fallen masonry, inhales, and lets his world narrow to the gap between Rocksaucers’ dented shield-rim and the monster’s glistening mandibles.
thrum
The shaft whispers past Paqen’s shoulder, threads the blue-white shimmer of Tarysaa’s spell, and speeds towards the horror.
Bonus: Steady aim Action: attack with longbow, 19 to hit for 6 piercing plus 7 sneak = 13 damage
Zevriel lands a precise strike; the monster no longer seems as quick as before in darting to deflect or avoid blows! It moves increasingly slower, while the water turns red with its blood, now seeping from several open wounds.
Crustacean Horror continues to tighten its merciless grip on Rocksaucers, but it's clear it's on its last leg...
