Zevriel pads back into the singers’ chamber. “North room’s a dead end,” he reports in his clipped, practical tone. “Whole place filled with ruined trophies— bear, chimera, things I couldn’t name. Three corpse-lookin’ hunters hiding in the wreckage. Didn’t raise a fuss; they never saw me. No other door, so not worth the steel or the trouble.”
He jerks a thumb westward—toward the corridor behind the fallen crustacean. “I’ll scout the passage north of that brute next. If anyone needs breath, pray fast and follow quiet.”
Blade loose in his hand, he slips off again toward the wide hall beyond the slain horror, hugging shadow as he moves. (Stealth 13, Perception 21)

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
This time, the corridor chosen by Zevriel winds a bit north, a bit west; but eventually it also leads into a room.
This room used to have a reinforced metal door, but it has been shattered, so access is now free. The room measures 10' by 20', and the only 5'-wide entrance opens into the south wall, 5' from the west wall.
Inside are several chests, which have been broken or opened.
Among the chests wanders a creature of vaguely humanoid shape, but with four large tentacles for legs, and with slimy, translucent skin and warped arms resembling those of deep-sea oddities. The creature, however, must be more vigilant than the previous predators, for it almost immediately notices the newcomer spying on it—and in reaction, tries to lunge at him!

Seeing Zevriel stiffen, Mival senses something is wrong; he rushes forward, spots the monster, and, stepping on broken chests, stands beside it, preparing to face it.
Zevriel slips through the shattered doorway, keeping his profile narrow and knees bent. Sidling left toward the east wall, he flicks a hand back to Rocksaucers in warning and says, "Best stay out of it, throw rocks if you must," then flourishes the twin-blade into a defensive whirl—steel blurring in a tight circle to ward off strikes—before snapping the lower point forward in a swift slash at the tentacled thing’s midline.
Action: dodge Bonus: Whirl Dex check 12 for +1AC (total 17), and attack at disadvantage hits AC 12 for 5 damage Move: to Eastern Wall

Tarysaamoves up to the spot just outside the room to take in this creature. Taking a moment, she decides to take a different tactic and empowers Comprehend Languages
"Creature, hold! We do not wish to fight you but we shall if provoked. What are you searching for in this chaos?"
The monster is struck squarely by the lightning, but its resistance must be remarkable... instead of collapsing to the ground, it maneuvers the trident it holds with its upper limbs and extends one of the four tentacles that replace its lower limbs.
However, it changes its mind about the target and focuses on the "court magician"!
1st Trident Attack: 16 Damage: 10 (pieecing) 2nd Trident Attack: 17 Damage: 8 (pieecing) Tentacle Attack: 21 Damage: 16 (psychic) - and and the target has disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws until the end of the attacker's next turn.
The bluish form of the magical construct is struck by two quick-fire trident thrusts, and as blood, the color (and consistency) of quicksilver, begins to spread across the water, the tentacle also lands, causing Khelbluen to open his mouth in a silent parody of a cry of pain.
Four Tentacles is forced to let go to avoid an electric touch from the court magician's hand, but the attack was decisive and brutal.
Rocksaucers then steps forward, ignoring the prudent advice he'd received earlier: "No one... harms... the Keep staff!" and, positioning himself at Khelbluen's side, attempts to punish the abomination with blows of large stone shields.
Rocksaucers' Attack: Dice rolls not yet available for this section. Damage: Dice rolls not yet available for this section. (bludgeoning) - if the target is Large or smaller, it is knocked prone.
