Eclipse steps in and carefully peers around looking for booby traps or hidden tripwires. If there are none, he motions for the others to enter. He then moves closer to the unopened crates and barrels and looks for clues to their contents.
Throgg opens the lid, just as the light goes out from the shell Zerk touched. Throgg just catches a glimpse of a frothing mass of moving things as tons of centipedes flow forth from the barrel partially engulfing throgg as they exit.

Eclipse drops his backpack (free action), removes a flask of oil from it (interact with object), moves next to the bugs, empties the oil onto them (action), then pulls back again (bonus action Cunning Action—disengage) and then retreats back to his pack (using Feline Agility to double movement if needed), where he starts to fumble through the various items in it for his tinderbox.
