Neither Throgg nor Kel see anything out of the ordinary and the watch goes smoothly. Everyone is in their beds at this time and Zerk comes above deck, smelling like fried fish. He quickly climbs the rope ladder catching Kel as he was just about to fall asleep on the job.
” Good job today Kel. Great music, great fishing. We are off to good start. Now head to bed and get lots of rest, tomorrow we do it all again…good night friend.” zerk says as he settles in to watch the horizon. Lucky for the moon and stars that abound, makes it easy to see quite far. In a day or two, the moon will take her break and it will be pitch black on the water.
Zerk doesnt see anything as he gets lost in day dreaming of the quarter master. He doesn’t realize her sister is here on board with her as he was too busy to really mingle or check out the boat further. Ships cook is a demanding job to be sure.
on the deck of the Ship, Sinmana silently slithers, keeping a keen eye on the newcomers. Besides plotting courses, her job is to see to ship security, behind the scenes. To catch plots and settle them before they can hamper the mission. As the watches seemed to go well and everyone was where they were expected to be, she took out her equipment to check the stars for the proper course headings. And then heads down below decks. Zerk didn’t see her come or go and as the sky began to lighten up and the sun still out of view but making his might known, the huge Minotaur moves ups the rope ladder with amazing agility for such a beast.
“ Your watch has ended Mr Zerk, head below for some shut eye. Excellent job with the food today. Keep that up and you are sure to receive a bonus come trips end.” Zerk hurries down the rope ladder, hoping the bosun doesn’t realize he startled him…
Throgg woke the next morning feeling more refreshed than he had in ages. The rocking of the ship a better comfort than anything he could find land side. Stretching and looking around to see who else was awake.
As kel woke up from his bed he would stretch up, what a great rest! No more being shaken awake and forced to do labor immediately, he really hopes his dragonborn master never showed up to collect him, he would spend some time getting ready for a day and wore a open long sleeve loose shirt that covered the branding mark on his wrist given to him by his previous master he escaped from.
After his watch and his supper, Eclipse returns to the deck, doffs his jacket and shirt, and with the moon shining on his the silky gray fur and reflecting in monochrome on the encompassing black waters of the Sea of Swords, the swashbuckling rogue works up a sweat fencing shadows with rapier and dagger.

The next morning he rises as late as he can get away with and trudges, bleary-eyed and growling, to break fast. Not a morning person, our feline friend, the others may quickly note.
Along the way to breakfast the kobold would rub their eyes and where pre-occupied, when he finished he would look around and see eclipse. He would hobble and run over to eclipse and looked up at them. "Good morning!"
Eclipse’s claws extend half an inch from his fingertips but he battles the urge to use them and his arms remain stiffly at his sides. Instead, poisonous eyes slide to the kobold. And yet again, responsive to Kel’s innocent expression, the tabaxi takes a breath. “The word morning, by definition, should never be paired with the word good,” he mumbles. “Coffee.” Nothing further passes his jaw until he’s found some…
The kobold would follow behind the tabaxi as they where also headed to the cafeteria onboard the ship. The kobold was very fidgety, "you dont like mornings?" He squeaked
"J-just nervous about something-" they would say before looking up at the tabaxi, they decided to come up wtih something, "ive never seen a cat like you before, where you from mister?" they would try grabbing a leftover biscuit from last night which was on the counter but their short arms wherent able to reach.
Throgg, after he woke up, walked up to the deck and found a wide open area on the bow. Making sure there were no obstructions he began moving through his exercises and combat forms. His long arms in full display as he slowly and deliberately moved his fists through the air on all sides, his prowess on full display with his 10ft reach. After a little while, and covered in sweat, he sat and meditated for a moment before retiring back to the mess hall for breakfast. Seeing Kel and Eclipse there, he changed direction to join with them.
Throughout the day everyone got the work done, had their food and a generally pleasant travel. Top speed, easy course with no changes and no other ships in sight. Approximately halfway through the day, the crewman in the crows nest announced a man overboard. He spotted someone bobbing on the water ahead, waving his arms trying to signal the ship.

“Oh I haven’t come from too far away,” Eclipse answers evasively. He follows Kel’s lead and tries a biscuit as he warms to his favorite subject: himself. “And, not to worry. If you’ve been around humans, which it seems you have, then you know everything there is to know about me.” The tabaxi thinks of the last years, the long passage of grifts, petty thievery, excess, con jobs, burglary, and most importantly, forgery. “But where we come from matters little on the open sea, does it, friend Kel? I say it’s where we are right now that matters.” He smiles now fully back to himself.

wind speed and direction: wind out of the SW at 15-20 knots, pleasant breeze and a good sailing day, no tack or course correction required.

Eclipse stops walking and turns as he grabs a mug of coffee (or tea), eyes heavy and a bit wild, answering Kel. “I do not.”
He frowns at the kobold, noticing the bard’s discomfort. With an effort made slightly less by the first hit of caffeine, he makes himself speak.
”You’re fidgeting. Why?”

The kobolld decided to remain quiet from this comment as he looked down. "S-sorry for asking mister" they would scurry away to deal with their tasks.
Eclipse scans the surrounding waters for any sign of a ship or wreck. (Perception: 4+5=9)
