Class: Oath of Vengeance Paladin 3/ Warlock Hexblade 2
Background: Urban Bounty Hunter
Bonus Feat: Warcaster
Backstory: Last remaining membre of the Knight Corpse named "Knights of the Ebon Blade", his Knight Corpse was exterminated during the End War during a final stand against their ennemies, they unleashed on the Ebon Knights all hell, leaving pratically nothing except for a half dead and severly mangled Kain, losing an arm and an eye during this attack.
Even so, his steel like will and rage din't allow him to die, it kept him fighting on, out numbered and outclased, he used everything he could to murder painfully his assailants, to the point where he barely looked anything like a mortal to them, and looked more like some Helspawn there to bring death and misery.
Gravely wounded he lost consciousness and when everything seemed over and his final hour came, he heard someone call him "embrace your destiny, overcome this hardship...", next thing he knew, was that he could see again from his gauged out eye, even if the colours where different, and he could feel his right arm again, even though it wasn't really his arm, more like a facsimili of an arm, made out of dark burned wrought steel, but still giving him sensations.
Not having the time to understand what was going on he grab the nearest weapon and struck down his foes, with Steel and Helfire, he left the battle field shortly after, never to be seen again.
In the few years that followed he roamed without a clear purpose, surviving day after day, his friends where decimated, his family was gone, he had no idea if they where alive, but seeing the carnage that was left after the battle, there is very little chances they survived, worst of all the War was over, he had nowhere to go and nothing to do.
He became a sell sword, using his abilities to survive, having to carry the burden of the shame of loosing his comrades in arms, he still feel the pain in his eye and arm from time to time, still wondering what they are and how they came to him, he knows their not "normal" items and even though the material in wich their made looks like steel, he still feels the blow of the wind with his fingertips and the warmth of the sun in his eye,he sometimes still hears the voice that called out to him that day, even if it is faint, it guides him, sometimes warnes him when danger is close, he's never sure how, but its like a 6th Sense.
He managed to slowly become someone, not famous nor infamous, but he's not the husk of a broken man he used to be, even if the ghosts of his past continues to haunt him.
What he need now his cash, after all a man gotta eat, and outside combat he knows nothing, maybe he'll find something that will help, even if there is still something bothering him, but his memories of the War are still hazy...

“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
Bonus Feat: Skilled (Cook's Utensils, Herbalist Kit, and Investigation)
Backstory: Angiro has been an orphan at the age of 7. His parents died on his travels as they were priests healing the sick and providing food for the hungry. As he was out in the forest collecting herbs for his parents, pillagers came through the town we were staying at for a couple of months. He came back to see the temple ransacked. Local townspeople were locked beneath the cellar as his parents were protecting them. They locked the cellar door behind them as they tried to fight off the pillagers. They died protecting the townspeople. The local priests decide to take him in and has been mastering healing techniques and helping the sick and hungry. Besides from from training and learning from his acolyte duties, he also worked on honing his endurance so that he may better survive defending others. He is currently in the city of Sharn, healing and feeding the poor and sick in the Lower City.
Debt: It is more a debt to society. A debt to his faith. He was taken care of by priests that took him in and guide him to The Path of Light.

Random NPC: Ark Minlu, a male elf cleric of the Path of Light temple
As I've been permitted to another group and sadly don't have unlimited time to spare for two campaigns, my application doesn't have to be taken into consideration anymore. The others here also look better to me and I wouldn't pick mine anyway. ;P
Not to worry. Hope you enjoy your campaign! If you just pop a note on your application (maybe just spoiler it and say "no longer applying") so I don't forget when I check through them again next week, that'd help me out a lot :-)
Backstory: Ajax found his place as a soldier in The Last War. Moreover, he found his place as a war priest. He healed the injured and in bringing them back to continue the fight. He reveled in the conflict! Then it ended. The War. His purpose. All gone. Now he struggles to make a life outside of war.
Debt: The battlefield was replaced by the card table and dice cups. He’s racked up a considerable debt through gambling
Faith: Dol Arrah of The Sovereign Host
Common Item: A great club made from the femur of an Ogre ((or some other Giant-related creature/ large elephantine animal))
Uncommon Item: Ring of Jumping
Lifestyle: Modest
Phobia: Having the people closest to him pay for his mistakes.
Backstory: <brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaapppp> Welcome everyone! I'm Chubby Beersmith, a Mountain Dwarf tank. <hic> Ready to drink....errrr.....fight! Yeah! As long as the adventure involves plenty of 12 ounce ale curls, <hic> Chubby is more than willing assist you in protecting your sober butts. He just finished kegging up a mean ale that would be GREAT to bring along with the adventure. <hic>
Chubby is an elder in Clan Beersmith. His claim to fame is that five years ago, he led a militia to fight off an invading army of orcs, attempting to steal Clan Beersmith's precious collection of ale brewing equipment. Ever since then, he’s been adventuring the realms as a hero of Clan Beersmith, far and wide, in search of exotic ingredients for future ale recipes.
A few years ago, Chubby met Cora "Crispy" Perkins (see earlier post from CrispyDM), when he was being harassed at a local inn for being too drunk. He wasn't being an angry drunk, but you know how dwarves get, and it was an opportunity to slam heads with a bunch of scumbags giving him trouble, so Crispy gave him a hand. Or a fist. We became good friends ever since, and Crispy is one of the few friends that he trusts and would give his life to protect. Don't mess with him.
Debt: Chubby owes a life debt to Crispy, for saving his scalp over many previous adventures. He refuses to leave her side.
Lifestyle: Wealthy (Clan Beersmith has cornered the market on ale sales across the land!)
Phobia: Chubby is an alcoholic, and Crispy is his sponsor (that little angel always on his shoulder, telling him to stop drinking). So, his greatest fear is losing his guardian angel, Crispy.
Random NPC: Tommy “Knuckles” Flynn, the local ale distributor for all the taverns in Sharn.
Backstory: Ya wanna hear my story, huh? All right, but I ain't promising you'll like it. Well, I was built during the War, course. Called me 0577 in the factory. Soon, they sent me out to Cyre. Nice place, that was. The fighting wasn't bad either, taught me a lot 'bout life. The boys took to calling me Mule, since I was the one that carried their packs when their wee feet wore out. No offence, but I always wondered why we kept those fleshlings around. Bunch of wimps, when ya think 'bout it. Anyways, I was saying, I fought for a while for the Cyrans. Didn't do too bad, either. Then, during a day like any other, I saw the sign. Five blood-splattered tools of war at my feet. Now tell me that's a coincidence and I'll crush yer skull in. Nah, it was a message from the Mockery, I tell ya. And I heard that message. So I slipped away, quietly as I could. But ya see, that wasn't no day like any other. That was the day the Mourning came. So really, the Dark Six saved my life. Wouldn't be here if it weren't for them, and yet people still call them evil. Given that there weren't much of a Cyran army left, I went looking for something else to do, and I soon found it. Fella named Bynn took me in, made me his business partner. We were trading Dreamlily and the like, cause people needed it bad after the War. I suppose I became another sort of mule then. Yeah, now that was a life, full of adventure and riches up in the skies. That's right, we had some pretty high-up clients. I'd sure like to return to those upper wards sometime, though I can't. I'm pretty well stuck down here in Callestan for now, though I do sometimes make the trip up. Turns out Bynn was a darned Changeling, tried to poison me soon as I got too much power, then ran away in a new body. Fortunately, I only pretend to eat to please you fleshlings, so he didn't do much harm. After that, well, I started seeing a whole lot more half-orcs. Bounty Hunters from House Tharashk, I figures. So I scampered of down here to wait it out, quick as I could. Ya know, I'd sure like to get back at Bynn. It was real mean, what he did to me. Worst part is, I don't even know what he looks like now. Could be you, for all I know. So, now it's your turn to talk. There's been a rumour of something good coming through that I might like, perhaps to pay off Tharashk. You know anything 'bout that? Cause if you don't, I'll have to kill you for what you've just heard.
Debt: I need to pay House Tharashk so that they get off my back. Won't last much longer if I don't.
Faith: The Dark Six. Whad'ya expect, after The Mockery saved me from the Mourning.
Common Item: Armblade. And a darn good 'un at that. Saved my soul more times than I can remember
Uncommon Item: Rapier, +1 (Integrated into Armblade if possible)
Lifestyle: Poor. Damn poor. Not that I ain't got the money, just that they're less likely to find me down here.
Phobia: The thought of someone finding out how to "turn off" a warforged terrifies me, if I'm being honest.
Random NPC: There's a fine Dreamlily dealer round here, goes by the name of Dorius Hal Davendi. You'll recognise him by his metal leg. Used to by his stock from us, back when I was in the business. There's rumour that's he's an agent of the Zil Trust. Codswallop, if you ask me, but then again, you can never tell.
Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1) DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
Backstory: Born for war, this warforged was created. A Command Model class, made to lead; but for what purpose? This was not his war, these were not his enemies. They built him to think, and he did. He used his mind and he read, he studied, and he learned; learned of magic.
But eventually his abilities were discovered by the army, and they put him to use. Sent on missions to eliminate dangerous threats; often other wizards. He developed a preference in magical combat, focusing on countering and dispelling; knowing he had the endurance to last them out, and the strength to cut them down. It was this style of fighting that led to him choosing his name 'Dis'.
After years of being a forced puppet and assassin, he was sent to eliminate a rogue Assault Model Warforged named Karn. Karn convinces Dis to abandon the "Meatbags" and join his crew of pirate Warforged. The years that followed were both enjoyable and dangerous; but eventually Dis grew tired of the sea. He sought to leave Karn's crew, but doing that comes at a great cost. A cost Dis seeks to pay soon.
Debt: Owes Karn a lot of gold, as the cost of buying himself off of Karn's crew.
Faith: None (Knows they exist, but puts no faith in them; better off without them)
Common Item: Potion of Climbing.
Uncommon Item: Enduring Spellbook.
Lifestyle: Poor.
Phobia: Permanent Deactivation.
Random NPC: Karn - His former warforged pirate commander that once jumped on an enemy ship, carrying a canon, and fired it straight down through their ship. He calls it his 'Key to the Sea'.
Backstory: Eleven got his first job on a merchant ship at 15. About a year later, he was commandeered onto a pirate ship, which he ended up liking better (more his kind of people). Not long ago, he got drunk and was bragging about his ship and was arrested by the Sharn Watch. Under the pressure of intense threats and inebriation, he talked and his captain was arrested. Eleven ran and has been hiding from his former crew, not knowing if they know it was his fault. He's now in Sharn, hiding in plain sight and trying to survive.
Debt: He got his captain arrested, resulting in the ship's crew being scattered to the four winds.
Faith: Recently started seeking Balinor because he seeks retribution.
Random NPC: Dogmar Ogal, a male dwarf around 200 years old Eleven met in a flophouse. He's grungy, sneaky, untrustworthy, and a lot of fun. He's a stone mason by trade, but will swing a hammer for any kind of work he can get.
Backstory: Rhea was practically born into the service of the Church of the Silver Flame. Born to a cleric of the order, she was taken to be trained in the ways of magic, and was trained to hunt creatures of the night. Devoted to destroying creatures that would harm the souls of the innocent, her journey brought her to Sharn, where she continues to wait for the beckoning hand of destiny to move her along.
Debt: Rhea's life was saved by a fellow trainee when she was first learning to hunt demons and vampires. A smaller demon managed to overpower her in close range combat, and she was only saved by the other trainee's quick action. Rhea considers herself indebted to this other trainee, but has not heard from them in a long time. It could be that they have fallen from the faith.
Faith: The Church of the Silver Flame
Common Magic Item: Lamannian Oak Focus (Quarterstaff)
Uncommon Magic Item: Robe of Useful Items
Lifestyle: Modest
Phobia: Undead
Random NPC: Maria Steelbane, a human around 27 years old, who serves as a bodyguard for an heir of House Deneith that currently resides in Upper Tavick's Landing. She specializes in the typical sword-and-board style, but she also knows basic defensive spells such as Shield.
Recruitment is currently open, and closes on Monday 6th August, as mentioned on post #1. During that following week I will most likely be sorting out the recruitment posts and selecting the party/parties and setting up the behind the scenes stuff, possibly starting the following Monday (13th August).
Backstory: Gedyr was a warrior in a Valenar Warband and fought during the invasion of Cyre. He approached the war with his warband bright eyed - with the idea to bring glory to his ancestors and make his name among the Valenar. Gradually he began to see the dark side of war...the death and the destruction wrought for no more than the vanity of his people. Disillusioned, he continued to fight along side his brothers and sisters in his warband, as this camaraderieduring the dark days is what gave him hope. In the end, his warband was betrayed by its leader. Gedyr was the only survivor, and before he could return and tell his story he was branded a traitor and accused of murdering his brothers and sisters. He currently goes by the name "Gedyr a Ereb". He is hiding in Sharn, as the leader of his warband will have to see him dead.
NOTE: Gedyr's spell book is carved into his flesh mostly covered by his clothes and armor. He will need to find an isolated space in private to add spells, which is done with a knife and special inks. This could be at a private room or isolated spot in the wilderness. He will use an owl familiar and Alarms spells to guard as he completes his ritual to copy spells. There is no possible way to make a backup spell book, and if his skin is damaged (by fire or wounds) it could cause him to loose some capability until the spells can be re-tattooed onto his skin or repaired.
Debt: Gedyr escaped with nothing, and has been on the run from Valenar. He arrived in Sharn and immediately went into Debt to get "fake papers" from The Tyrants. He fears that one of them may know the truth of his origins.
Faith: Gedyr has lost his faith in the Undying Court and his ancestors.
Phobia: He fears being caught out and murdered by the Valenar before he can tell the truth of what happened
Random NPC: Grunmag Breeblebrox, a member of The Tyrants who arranged his identity papers.
Quick Update: due to the positive amount of applictions, I will probably be doing more than one party for adventures in Sharn if people would like. The raiding the Lightning Rail will be one of the groups, and I'll be working on a different set of adventuring for the other group.
Remember, application is still open until Monday, so people can still apply to the campaign. Please read Post #1 if you want to join.
Backstory: Uro was born and raised in the Southern reaches of the Mror Holds, in the shadow of the meeting of the Ironroot and Hoarfrost mountain ranges. The son of a wealthy hops farmer and beer brewer, Uro never felt at ease in his comfortable surroundings: the family manor overlooking Korran’s Maw, the pleasure cruises along the jungle coasts of Q’barra, the leisure trips to the vault-mansions of Kundarak heirs and other wealthy clan lords, the stifling familiarity of well-to-do dwarven society. He was always a dreamer, more interested in lofty mountain peaks, isolated glades, and quiet meadows than the inane chit-chat of a Kundarak soiree. So at a young age, Uro cast off the trappings of his privileged life and lived in the mountains, striving to attune himself to the land and its own thrumming, fascinating life. He developed his own sort of druidism in isolation, without the guidance of sects or mentors. His magic was wild and raw. The worst vagaries of the Last War rarely spilled into the Mror Holds, but when they did, Uro was there to help those fleeing the violence, protecting them from partisans, bandits, and Karrnathi zombies. Uro became something of a legend amongst the common people of the border lands between Karrnath and the Holds: a selfless figure, using his magic to protect the weak from senseless violence. When the war ended, Uro sought to reconnect with his estranged family. He found his parents more than willing to welcome him home. But in a cruel twist of fate, a strange illness took Uro’s father’s life mere months after the rekindling of their relationship. Grief compelled Uro to wander Khorvaire. He wants to settle his father’s business affairs and move on, but can he?
Debt: Uro owes a debt on his father’s behalf to Orden Swelm (see below), a friend of Uro’s late father who saved Uro’s father’s life on multiple occasions. Furthermore, his late father's beer business is quite literally in debt and Uro want to rectify that somehow (see below).
Faith: While Uro occasionally prays to gods of the Host, his true faith is a generalized Druidic belief in the power of nature and the land, particularly the two great mountain ranges of the Mror Holds.
Common Item: Healing Potion
Uncommon Item: Pearl of Power
Lifestyle: Modest. Despite his bourgeois origins, Uro has no great love of life’s creature comforts. As a druid, he’s no stranger to sleeping rough in a mountain glen, so a modest Sharn boarding house is no problem at all.
Phobia: Unusually for a dwarf, Uro is mildly claustrophobic. He prefers the open air of the mountain peaks to cramped Kundarak vaults.
Random NPC: Orden Swelm, an enterprising dwarf merchant and a family friend of the Pivovars’. Orden’s work has taken him across most of Khorvaire (his activities during the war were doubtless rather shady), from the islands of the Principalities to the Shadow Marches. Orden’s materialism and ambition put him at odds with shy, contemplative Uro—the classic odd couple. No matter how personally incompatible the two may be, Uro has an abiding love for Orden, who saved the life of Uro’s late father on multiple occasions. Orden is currently in Sharn on business (Orden is rarely not ‘on business’). In fact, it’s on Orden’s behest that Uro has come to Sharn in the first place. Orden says he wants to discuss the future of the indebted Pivovar beer business, which Uro is all too keen to have off his hands, his father’s memory notwithstanding.\
Backstory: Majin started out poor and on the streets, until he meet a member of the house Cannith. He was impressed with Majin's tinkering skills and brought him into the house, taught him everything he could. Including the art of making and fighting with Guns. There is just one problem, Majin has a bit of a gambling problem. He owes a large sum of money to a rival house with no way to pay off the debt. So instead of disposing of him as usual, they force him to spy on house Cannith.
Lifestyle: Modest
Faith: Majin puts his faith in technology, not gods.
Debt: Gambling debts
Common: Ersatz Eye- got it after an accident where his gun exploded
Uncommon: Eyes of Minute Seeing.
Phobia: fear of heights
Random NPC: Coraline Jones: Human bookie, she is also the one who Majin reports to for the rival family.

As I've been permitted to another group and sadly don't have unlimited time to spare for two campaigns, my application doesn't have to be taken into consideration anymore. The others here also look better to me and I wouldn't pick mine anyway. ;P
@Synthil
Not to worry. Hope you enjoy your campaign! If you just pop a note on your application (maybe just spoiler it and say "no longer applying") so I don't forget when I check through them again next week, that'd help me out a lot :-)
@pokepallady
I'm locking in Hayden.

Name: Chubby Beersmith
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class: Battle Master (Fighter 5)
Background: Folk Hero
Bonus Feat: Lucky
Faith: The Silver Flame (LG)
Common Item: Potion of Healing
Uncommon Item: Sentinel Shield
Lifestyle: Wealthy (Clan Beersmith has cornered the market on ale sales across the land!)
Phobia: Chubby is an alcoholic, and Crispy is his sponsor (that little angel always on his shoulder, telling him to stop drinking). So, his greatest fear is losing his guardian angel, Crispy.
Random NPC: Tommy “Knuckles” Flynn, the local ale distributor for all the taverns in Sharn.
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
Name: Mule
Race: Warforged Juggernaut
Class: Fighter (Battle Master)
Background: Soldier
Bonus Feat: Mage Slayer
Horatio Hirschfeld - Squire imbued with fae powers, in the Coliseum of Conquest (W2/L1)
DM for Reavers of Harkenwold, and sometimes The Fighting Grounds of the Coliseum
Name: Dis.
Race: Warforged (Command Model).
Class: Wizard (Abjuration).
Background: Sailor - Pirate (Bad Reputation).
Bonus Feat: Mage Slayer.
Name: Eleven
Race: Dragonborn (black)
Class: Barbarian 4 / Fighter 1
Background: Sailor
Bonus Feat: Tavern Brawler
Common Item: Potion of Healing
Uncommon Item: [weapon]Morningstar, +1[/weapon]
Lifestyle: Poor
Phobia: Heights
Random NPC: Dogmar Ogal, a male dwarf around 200 years old Eleven met in a flophouse. He's grungy, sneaky, untrustworthy, and a lot of fun. He's a stone mason by trade, but will swing a hammer for any kind of work he can get.
Name: Rhea Stormfeather
Race: Aasimar (Protector)
Class: Wizard 5 (War Magic)
Background: Knight of the Order
Bonus Feat: Observant (+1 to Intelligence)
@pokepaladdy when are you planning to start and close recruitment? Any set dates?
@Kuastro
Recruitment is currently open, and closes on Monday 6th August, as mentioned on post #1. During that following week I will most likely be sorting out the recruitment posts and selecting the party/parties and setting up the behind the scenes stuff, possibly starting the following Monday (13th August).
Name: Gedyr A Lhuig
Race: Valenar High Elf
Class: Bladesinger Wizard
Background: Soldier
Bonus Feat: Elven Accuracy
Backstory: Gedyr was a warrior in a Valenar Warband and fought during the invasion of Cyre. He approached the war with his warband bright eyed - with the idea to bring glory to his ancestors and make his name among the Valenar. Gradually he began to see the dark side of war...the death and the destruction wrought for no more than the vanity of his people. Disillusioned, he continued to fight along side his brothers and sisters in his warband, as this camaraderie during the dark days is what gave him hope.
Uncommon Item: +1 Scimitar
Common Item: Cast Off Studded Leather Armor
Lifestyle: Poor...for now...
Name: Uro Pivovar
Race: Hill Dwarf
Class: Druid 5
Background: Folk Hero
Bonus Feat: Squat Nimbleness

Debt: Gambling debts
