Grommok lets out a roar, seeing Dragen fall and swings his Greataxe at the Kobold in full on rage. [raging]
As the kobold ducks Gelidus's mace and Portia's arrow, Grommok's swings his great axe at the kobold, dropping it to the ground. Instantly the sounds of battle end, the torch in the corner sets off a small crackle of sparks, the only sound, other than the heavy breathing of battle exertion.
Dragen will be unconscious for the next hour. The door to the north remains close, and the one to the east has your barricade. The southern door is open, it leads to a short hallway into the room you saw earlier, when peeking through. The western room is yet to be investigated.
Checking the northern door, you see the light under the door is still flickering and Portia hears the sounds of movement, most likely from a single, small creature. Otherwise, nothing new there. [Let me know if you wish to open and peek in.]
The door to the west, left open when the kobolds entered that way is rectangular room, slightly large then the one you're in now. A hallway leads north about thirty feet and ends at a door on the east wall. To the south, a door is open, with a passage leading south into the darkness. The room itself contains a few tanks and cages. Inside one of the cages are two small skunks. Multiple tanks hold large swarms of insects... beetles, larvae, and other looking insects. Your guess is this some sort of insect breeding chamber.
The southern corridor, from the room you are in, heads south, pass open doors into the room with nests.
Dragen will be unconscious for the next hour; you'll need a new torch to ... depending on what you want to do, we'll assume the battle has just ended!
Gelidus, though eager to go forward, figure having a full party would be more beneficial. "Fine. I guess a rest wouldn't be too bad." Theythen sit in one of the corners.
You sit and rest, bandaging your wounds and catching your breath. An hour goes by an nothing happens. [You finish a short rest!]
Portia keeps watch on the northern door, where she continues to hear an occasional sound, but nothing that alarms her. Her best guess is that there is one or two small creatures in there moving about. She hears an occasional clink of metal or something moving lightly.
Portia opens the unlocked door and peeks into the room.
Two large furnaces sit at the northern end of this room, the one to the west is ablaze. Scattered barrels brim with scrap metal and alchemical ingredients, while worn stone slabs serve as impromptu workbenches. The air is thick with heat and a metallic tang.
Standing in front of one table is a kobold wearing a red bent helmet, holding a gold coin up and examining it closely. On the table next to him is a small chest, the crest of The church of Orea crest on it.

Portia launches an arrow at the last kobold, but misses. Cursing she drops her bow and draws her shortsword while moving in closer.

"So, there's something beyond that door, something small.
I suggest we leave it be until we're back on our feet. Shall we give it an hour? I'm happy to stay by the door just in case."
With the torch now extinguished she pulls out a candle and lights it. "I have a lantern if we need it, but for now I think this is enough."

Portia moves back from the door, pulling it closed but not fully. She explains what she has seen to the others.
"So, do we try and grab him and find out what's going on? It's 3 on 1 so i think we should be ok."
