Kalos leans slightly to the side, looking up at the soaring arches and glowing light of the Dawnbow, his crimson eyes wide with awe. The words “tangle in the fabric of magic” clearly ignite something in him, and he murmurs, more to himself than anyone: "A massive library, laced with magic itself... I could spend years in here and not scratch the surface.”
He glances toward Richter and Click, nodding in agreement. “Good question"
"Rules? *Click- whirrrrrrrr whirrrr* Rules located. I wouldn't be able to say all o them within the allotted time, but the summary is:"
"No weapons should be visible on your person. No using Enchantment spells on other students that have not shown any hostile tendencies that would harm you or another student. No using magic during instructional time. No using magic to cheat on tests or gain access to knowledge that would not be allowed to you during the test."
"Adhere to these rules or risk detention or possible expulsion."
Avery crossed her arms and laughed. "I'm sure somebody's find some way to break those rules. Rules are made to be broken and all that jazz."

No visible weapons!?!Jaud silently repeats to himself, indignant. He opens his mouth to object, but quickly thinks better of it. Best not to attract unnecessary attention so soon on my first day, he decides.
Instead, Jaud draws his cloak around himself, to hide the pair of blades hanging from his belt. Looking over to Avery, he says, "Well, maybe instead of just breaking the rules, someone could perhaps petition the administration for an exemption?"
Jaud felt pretty confident that his former militia officers would vouch for him. He would just have to figure out who in the University to talk to. Turning to Click, Jaud asks, "So, who's really in charge around here? I mean, who makes the rules?"
Avery looks up at Jaud. "Where's the fun in that?"

Rules are not made to be broken, rules are made to be... followed? *click clack whirrrrr whirrrrr clack*" he seems extremely perplexed by Avery's idiom.
"Oh! You could, indeed, file a form asking for exemption of a certain rule. For instance, a blind person may request to use certain spells to see a times when such spells would be unallowed."
Avery looked at Click with interest, but doesn't say anything.

File a form?!? Jaud thinks in exasperation, wanting to tear out his hair. Beaurocratic paperwork was exactly the reason Jaud had left the militia before they could promote him to officer! But again, instead of voicing his frustration, he takes a deep breath and restrains himself.
Trying to maintain composure as his patience quickly wanes, Jaud softly asks Click, through nearly-clenched teeth, "Alright, Click, but how do I get a form? And how do I file it?"
He/Him. I am the DM, you are the player. You make the mistakes and I decide the consequences. Now, with that being said - Are you SURE you want to cast Fireball?
"It's a rather simple process, unless you wish to carry an unconcealed weapon or use potentially harmful/detrimental spells. Then it takes a while, up to 3 months. What would you like to try to do? Oh, I think we'll be coming up on our next stop in a second..."
Kalos follows suit and covers his rapier with the rest of his gear "I mean carrying a weapon around is second nature for some, also wouldnt it be safer to carry an unconcealed weapon then a concealed on? also how am I suppose to practice blade magic with out a weapon. I will be following up with that form"

"Erm, indeed I do know how to joke, though it is not my primary function. Oh! We've arrived at our next location!"
Once again, in his teleprompter voice, he reads: "A star arch curves overhead like a smaller echo of the Dawnbow, and a lush park, Archway Commons, marks the site. More familiarly called the Commons, the park is a favorite spot for students—especially first-years—to gather in fair weather or to wander through on dates. Some of the university’s clubs also use the park to host social gatherings and games, including live-action roleplaying games and casual sports."
"Ah, so this is the hot spot for social activities, eh? And dates? Interesting... I hope nothing bad happens~" she sang with a chuckle.

Amari listens to the conversations with interest, piping up in response to the weapon discussion, "Oh, but I agree with Kalos. Isn't a concealed weapon more dangerous? Is there a story behind that rule?" She watches the Commons as Click talks, imagining herself walking to classes happily under the arch, "Hold on, Click, what do you study?"
