Krakk, looking in the upper story window, you can see a dark room beyond. It sits empty, a small bed and a dresser of drawers are the only furniture in the room. Across the room from the window you're looking in stands a solid wooden door. As the rest of the group enters the bar, each of you sees a bartender standing behind a bar wrapping around the majority of the left side of the establishment.
Against the right wall of the inn stands a huge fireplace, though only a small fire burns in the hearth. A man sits alone at this table. He looks to be deep in thought. The room is filled with tables and chairs, and most sit empty. The table nearest the entrance is populated by three middle ages women, dressed in blue, green and pink dresses respectively. While they're gowns may have been lavish and beautiful once, their color fades, and the fabric is well worn. Apart from the quiet crackling of the fire and the small chatter that falls away as you enter, the bar is silent.

“Did... did you say Burgomaster’s letter? He’s my father. I’d see your letter and deal with you. My poor old father passed these few days ago.” The young man sitting near the fire stands as he speaks to Anchor. His long stride brings him to the group quickly. Waving at the barkeep, he says “A round of whatever each of these fine people would like please!” He ushers each of you back to the table he was sitting at by the fire.
The three women sitting near the door stare at you as you enter. They say nothing, and the quiet conversation they were holding has died.

"Thank you for meeting with me. My name is Ismark Kolyanovich. I'm the late burgotmaster's son. My father died just a few days ago, killed by the devil Strahd. The monster is calling after my sister, Ireena. Almost a week ago now he caught her between the village and our home. He bit her, and the terror caused my poor father to die. Could I please see the letter you have from him? How did you come by such a thing?" Ismark says all this with a cool demeanor, as if the things he was saying were perfectly normal and to be expected.
Ismark reads the letter quickly then hands it back to you. "That certainly is my fathers hand. I see you have't taken his advice and turned away from this place. Unfortunately you may have little luck leaving now.." He starts to trail off, thinking contemplatively, then he snaps his attention back to the conversation. "I thank you for bringing me this letter. It speaks of my sister and her grievous wound from the monster Strahd. Would you please help me? I don't have much to offer, but I am now the Burgomaster, so whatever is within my power I'd be glad to trade for assistance in transporting my sister away from our village. Strahd is too close. He watches us day and night. I hear Vallaki is a safer place. A place free from his influence... Would you help me?" He says this with conviction, and you notice that he sits a bit straighter in his seat as he makes his request.
"Out? seems like a good idea, that Strahd guy doesn't seem like someone I want to mess with, on the other hand, we should find more about him to end this danger to those seemingly innocent"
"Vallaki is on the other side of Barova, far from the sight of that damned castle." Ismark leads you out of the pub, heading north. "No offense taken. It's not often we get visitors, but when we do, they all say the same." He addresses Tingting, then turns to Krakk. "Very little is known for certain about Strahd. Rumors are aplenty, but few have ever interacted with him for any length of time and lived to tell the tale." He spits this last line, almost as if trying to get the taste from his mouth. Shaking his heads, he continues down the path.
Ismark leads the group out of the village toward a path leading to the top of a hill north east of town. It's take a few minutes but you arrive quickly. A weary-looking mansion squats behind a rusting iron fence. The iron gates are twisted and torn. The right gate lies cast aside, while the left swings lazily in the wind. The stuttering squeal and clang of the gate repeats with mindless precision. Weeds choke the grounds and press with menace upon the house itself. Yet, against the walls, the growth has been tramped down to create a path all about the domain. Heavy claw markings have stripped the once-beautiful finish of the walls. Great black marks tell of the fires that have assailed the mansion. Not a pane nor a shard of glass stands in any window. All the windows are barred with planks, each one marked with stains of evil omen.
Ismark approaches and door and knocks quickly and quietly. You see motion through one of the glassless windows, and a moment later the door opens a crack. A moment passes and the door opens fully to reveal a tall, slender women standing in the opening. She's tall as Ismark, with dark hair and a pale face. She's wearing armor, moving clumsily. You can see two bright red circular marks on her neck, under her right cheek.
"Welcome home Ismark. You've brought friends!" She sounds surprised by your appearance. She stands aside and holds her arm outstretched, pointing in toward the house. "Please, come inside, and quickly."
So sorry for the delay in reply gang. The holiday got the best of me. But I'm back now. :)

"Okay, I think in the future, you might want to let others do the talking, Anchor." Tingting adresses the warforged in a subdued voice.
