As Nuras reaches the creature, he calls out a greeting in draconic. The creature suddenly reveals a head, somewhat reminiscent of a dragon, though with four tentacles in place of a jaw. It unleashes a roar, and launches itself into the sky to chase Nuras, who had flown up as soon as he saw its head. At the same moment several drow and some ice mephits rise from the snow, and more drow seem to pour from the cave entrance.
As the dragons duke it out in the sky, the group finds themselves under attack by the brainstealer's lackeys.
[Roll initiative! Remember it's side initiative, so one player rolls 1d20 unmodified, the drow and mephits got an 11, so higher or equal means the players go first] [EDIT: LK rolled in discord, got a 10 - I'll post asap]
The mephits rush forward, breathing cones of frosty breath over most of the group, as the drow footsoldiers rush forwards shortswords drown. Only two of the six land their blades against their targets - Bear and Gauthak being the unlucky catchers of the stabby ends of swords. Both gunslinging drow fire at Riot, though only one bullet finds its mark. Riot notices that the projectile delivers poison when it lands [Warforged poison resistance accounted for below]. The spellcasting trio of drow slink back into the cave, clearly more focused on the ritual they are evidently casting.
Gauthak swings back at the drow who had managed to strike him, and though he misses with the hammer end, the drow does not expect the butt of the polearm, taking a blow to the guts from it.
[A Note: I forgot to mention that the outdoors portion of the map is difficult terrain due to thick snow]

Jethro's dull eyes lock with the drow beside him. With a gesture of his hands, not drawing any weapons, he places a rescinding effect upon the drow, followed by the simple word of "Pain". He then sidesteps slightly since there were many blasts of effects that caught many people within them, as to spread out their numbers.
Bonus Action: Hex vs. Drow 6 - disadvantage on Dex-based checks. Action: Cast Witherblight. Movement: Move East 5 feet
Witherblight vs. Drow 6: DC 13 Constitution Saving Throw, taking 1 Psychic damage on a failure, and if Jethro is damaged before his next turn, the target also takes 7 necrotic damage.
Garadd's Turn
Garrad moves like the wind, swinging behind the drow to beside it and the mephit as he swings his battleaxe at the drow in an attempt to take it down.
Bonus Action:Zephyr Strike Movement: around the Drow, effectively North-East 2 squares overall. Action:Attack on Drow.

Taking the bulk of the damage that was dealt to her, Bear began to assume a more bestial appearance, becoming more true to her name. Swinging at the ice mephit on her left, she was determined to show these creatures who the real terror of the tundra was.

Danvi
Danvi, having some space between himself and the ice mephits, managed to back away as their frost breath washed over the area, only taking some of the attack's force. His double-bladed scimitar flying into his hand, Danvi charged forward to assist Bear and Gauthak, drawing away one of the drow.
Action: Attack with Double-bladed scimitar: 21 for 10 slashing against Drow 2
[Gretu's first attack downed drow 5, so I'll assume he didn't spend ki to flurry]. A drow falls at the first of Gretu's fists, while another drow manages to avoid Riot's attempt to shove it. Marakhad attempts to Toll the Dead on one of the gunslingers, but he avoids its effects, so she spends some energy to heal Bear with Healing Word. One of the mephits unleashes another gout of icy breath, catching Gauthak, Riot, and a drow in it's cone. Another mephit claws at Bear, while the others miss their attacks. The remaining drow each attack their nearest opponent, with only Danvi dodging their assailant. One gunslinger lines up a shot on Riot, landing a solid blow, and riot feels poison course through his veins again. The other Gunslinger lines up his shot on Garadd, and this bullet strikes true, knocking him to the floor, unconscious and dying.

Gretu's flurry of attacks does a number on the drow, leaving him bleeding in the snow. As Bear shatters the Mephit, it's shards fly out, striking her, the drow next to her, and other mephit next to her. Marakhad whispers a few words, and a mace of light (a spiritual weapon) appears behind the drow facing Gauthak and Riot, striking it right after Gauthak misses his attack, distracting it. Her surprise attack gives Gauthak a chance to breath, and she quickly breathes out the words to toll the dead , targeting the drow facing Bear, who hears the bells. Raviel quickly speaks the words to ray of frost, and a beam of frost hits the lone drow facing Riot, who collapses frozen into the snow.
The mephit still facing Bear unleashes its frost breath upon her as one claws at Jethro. The other Mephit moves towards Raviel, and though it swings, Raviel deftly avoids the clumsy strike. The three sword-bearing drow stab at Bear, Gauthak, and Riot, though Gauthak's chain deflects he blow aimed at him. The gunslingers, completely confused by their sudden change is disposition shake their heads, to no avail.

Having taken substantial damage from the Ice Mephit's death, Bear decided it was time to retreat. Disengaging from combat, Bear retreated back to behind Gauthak, hoping Marakhad would be able to bolster her defenses a bit.

Danvi
Danvi stepped around the gunslinger, saying, "Pardon me, just need to get to a better spot." Planting his double-bladed scimitar in the ground, he pulled two daggers from his collecting and hurled them at the ice mephit. Indicating the creature, he asked the gunslinger beside him in elvish, "Do you think you could hit that one?" (Persuasion: 19 (rolled in discord))

OOC: Spiritual Weapon does not require concentration so Marakhad is not concentrating having not yet cast any concentration spells yet.
Raviel has Talon distract the Mephit close by and he makes use of that distraction reaching out with a hand that sparks with electricity, aiming to shock the elf.
Marakhad, seeing Garadd down, and Raviel taking the Mephit's focus makes her way to Garadd, she touches him as she mutters a prayer and golden light escapes her briefly. Garadd suddenly shines with a shimmer of gold as he is healed. She turns behind her and has the Spiritual Weapon strike at one of the Drow near Gauthak.

As Gauthak smashes the Ice Mephit into shards (crit), it's shards scatter, and though the drow beside it manages to avoid the brunt of the shards, what it gets hit by is enough to drop it. The Gunslinger beside Danvi smiles, as Gauthak smashes the butt of his hammer into the groin of the other drow adjacent to him. "No need, stranger."
One of the remaining mephits swings at Raviel, scratching his skin, which quickly covers over with ice. The other swings at Jethro, but misjudges and misses. One of the Sorcerers briefly makes himself visible as he unleashes a chromatic orb of lightning at Gauthak, which nearly brings him to his knees, although not quite. As the sorcerer fades back into the shadows, he yells at the two gunslingers in elvish. "Oi, you two, what in Vyrian's name are you doing, just standing there!?"

Marakhad feels the store of divine power within her waning. She looks back to Bear and uses her last bit of magical energy to call out a a word of the divine to heal Bear. Seeing many of her allies hurt she calls on Pelor's grace, channelling his divine power through her. This is a different magic, it is more direct - it's use more limited, but it doesn't drain the normal magical reserves. It offers a small amount of healing to Garadd and Gauthak.
Talon distracts the ice creature again as Raviel once again tries to shock it with a touch full of sparke

Marakhad whispers a few words, and a mace of light (a spiritual weapon) appears behind the drow facing Gauthak and Riot, striking it right after Gauthak misses his attack, distracting it. Her surprise attack gives Gauthak a chance to breath, and she quickly breathes out the words to toll the dead , targeting the drow facing Bear, who hears the bells. Raviel quickly speaks the words to ray of frost, and a beam of frost hits the lone drow facing Riot, who collapses frozen into the snow.
The mephit still facing Bear unleashes its frost breath upon her as one claws at Jethro. The other Mephit moves towards Raviel, and though it swings, Raviel deftly avoids the clumsy strike. The three sword-bearing drow stab at Bear, Gauthak, and Riot, though Gauthak's chain deflects he blow aimed at him. The gunslingers, completely confused by their sudden change is disposition shake their heads, to no avail.

Shocking Grasp vs. Ice Mephit 4: 22 vs. AC. Hit: 5 lightning damage, plus 1 necrotic damage (from hex).
Garadd
Death Saving Throw: 8
1 success, 1 failure.
Bear
Having taken substantial damage from the Ice Mephit's death, Bear decided it was time to retreat. Disengaging from combat, Bear retreated back to behind Gauthak, hoping Marakhad would be able to bolster her defenses a bit.
Action: Disengage
Movement: 2 south, 2 east
Bonus Action: Storm Aura feature, granting 2 Temporary HP to Gauthak, Marakhad, and herself.
Danvi
Danvi stepped around the gunslinger, saying, "Pardon me, just need to get to a better spot." Planting his double-bladed scimitar in the ground, he pulled two daggers from his collecting and hurled them at the ice mephit. Indicating the creature, he asked the gunslinger beside him in elvish, "Do you think you could hit that one?" (Persuasion: 19 (rolled in discord))
Action: Attack with thrown Dagger at Ice Mephit 2: 8 (miss)
Movement: 1 south, 2 west, 1 north
Bonus Action: Offhand Attack with Dagger at Ice Mephit 2: 24 for 2 piercing damage.
OOC: Spiritual Weapon does not require concentration so Marakhad is not concentrating having not yet cast any concentration spells yet.
Raviel has Talon distract the Mephit close by and he makes use of that distraction reaching out with a hand that sparks with electricity, aiming to shock the elf.
Marakhad, seeing Garadd down, and Raviel taking the Mephit's focus makes her way to Garadd, she touches him as she mutters a prayer and golden light escapes her briefly. Garadd suddenly shines with a shimmer of gold as he is healed. She turns behind her and has the Spiritual Weapon strike at one of the Drow near Gauthak.
Talon
Help Action to distract Mephit 3 to grant Advantage on Raviel's next attack.
Raviel
Shocking Grasp against Mephit 3 : Attack: 24 Damage: 5 Lightning Damage -- On hit Mephit 3 cannot take Reactions until start of Raviel's next turn.
Marakhad
Move: North 1, North-East 3 - Next to Garadd. (This move occurs after Raviel's attack. If Raviel's attack is successful there is no Attack of Opportunity from Mephit 3)
Action: Cast Cure Wounds (Level 1) (bolstered by Disciple of Life feature) on Garadd: 14 Hit Points Restored
Bonus Action: Attack on Drow 2 using the Spiritual Weapon: Attack: 7 Damage: 6 Force Damage.

He stands his ground and attack the other drow besides him.
Attack: 13 Damage: 6 to Drow 3
Gretu:
He moves towards Raviel's side, striking at the mephit.
Attack: 24 Damage: 7 to Mephit 3
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
As Gauthak smashes the Ice Mephit into shards (crit), it's shards scatter, and though the drow beside it manages to avoid the brunt of the shards, what it gets hit by is enough to drop it. The Gunslinger beside Danvi smiles, as Gauthak smashes the butt of his hammer into the groin of the other drow adjacent to him.
"No need, stranger."
One of the remaining mephits swings at Raviel, scratching his skin, which quickly covers over with ice. The other swings at Jethro, but misjudges and misses. One of the Sorcerers briefly makes himself visible as he unleashes a chromatic orb of lightning at Gauthak, which nearly brings him to his knees, although not quite. As the sorcerer fades back into the shadows, he yells at the two gunslingers in elvish.
"Oi, you two, what in Vyrian's name are you doing, just standing there!?"

Jehtro once again attempts to electrocute the mephit beside him.
Shocking Grasp vs. Mephit 4: 21 vs. AC. Hit: 6 lightning, plus 3 necrotic damage.
Garadd's Turn
Garadd, now conscious again, will pick up his axe and stand back up. Seeing that there is still a mephit in his face, he'll attempt to carve it in half. (If Jethro took it down, I guess move him to attack Mephit 3.)
Bonus Action: Planar Warrior (+1d8 damage, becomes force)
Action: Attack
Battleaxe vs. Ice Mephit: 11 vs. AC. Hit: 17 force damage.
Marakhad feels the store of divine power within her waning. She looks back to Bear and uses her last bit of magical energy to call out a a word of the divine to heal Bear. Seeing many of her allies hurt she calls on Pelor's grace, channelling his divine power through her. This is a different magic, it is more direct - it's use more limited, but it doesn't drain the normal magical reserves. It offers a small amount of healing to Garadd and Gauthak.
Talon distracts the ice creature again as Raviel once again tries to shock it with a touch full of sparke
Marakhad
Bonus Action: Cast Healing Word (Level 1) to heal Bear (heals 3 extra due to Disciple of Life): 7 Hit Points
Action: Use Channel Divinity: Preserve Life to heal 5 Hit Points to Garadd and 10 Hit Points to Gauthak. This healing can only heal up to half a target's maximum hit points.
Talon
